- I'm usually not effected deeply by the passing of celebrities, or people I've never met… but this week I found myself crying several times, thinking of how many doors this one man had opened for people like me. THANK YOU David Bowie for being the definition of "fearless" and making it OK for people like me to express themselves, and be happy. 😌 I filmed this tutorial in honor of one of the most iconic makeup looks in our culture. The #ZiggyStardust era was the definition of "androgyny" - I hope you guys enjoy my tribute to a legend, and a pioneer.

im so impressed that you actually took the time to research his look & routine. I've seen a lot of people just do the Aladdin sane makeup, so as a Bowie fan I think you definitely did him justice
This was perfect, I am so glad you did this. Especially that you did Ziggy rather than Aladdin Sane (the lightning bolt that EVERYONE assumes is Ziggy, which it's not). If you haven't already, I would recommend watching the film Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars that came out in 1973. Fantastic concert footage and behind the scenes with Bowie's costume changes and him spending time with Angie and their son Zowie (aka Duncan Jones). It's a beautiful part of a beautiful time in music that I doubt will ever occur again. I'm still crying over Bowie, and I will always love Ziggy. Thank you so much, Jeffree.
There’s also a book I’ve been reading, that goes into the history of Ziggy Stardust, not Bowie, Ziggy. And that’s what I loved about it, it really goes into depth about the character and I really think you should read it, It’s called “Ziggyology, A Brief History of Ziggy Stardust” 😊
Jeffree seems like he would be really intimidating in person, but after watching his videos and his collab with Nikki, he is a total sweetheart!

Sounds cheesy but it's true as fuck. I found jeffree on myspace when I was in 5th grade in 2005 and I never knew that he would give me the confidence and strength to be who I am today. Jeffree you need to realize that the impact that you felt from Bowie is passed along towards the new generations from you. So THANK YOU.

As both a Bowie fan and a Jeffree fan, this video made me really happy. ☺️ I was actually David Bowie for Halloween this year. I was going to do this makeup look originally, but I ended up going with the Aladdin Sane lightning bolt because I was afraid no one would recognise me otherwise. I was born in the really late 90 and therefore I wasn't familiar with much of his work but I just remember seeing a picture of his famous stardust look when I was really young and thinking how magical and mystical he looked. the man is truly the definition of an icon.
