This is the fast and easy way to update your BIOS when the computer says that your battery is not connected. If your battery is dead or not recognized, then just force the update by going into a DOS prompt and FORCE the update.
just use the DOS command "/FORCEIT" after the exe
This only works for Windows machine right now but if you know the Linux equivalent, it would be great to hear.

Legend! Thank you so much for demonstrating this. Days wasted trying the usual battery reset procedures with no success. Boot from USB method kicked out the same "must have a battery" error, even though the battery is present and powering the laptop. Your method works for Dell and maybe HP too, but not Lenovo. Use the -sp command in the same way instead of /forceit.
" -s ... Silent mode
"
" -r ... Reboot after program completed
"
" -sp ... Skip power status check
"
" -chk ... Check current TPM firmware
"
" -suc password ... Skip user confirmation at startup
"
" Note: -suc option requires supervisor password.
"
thanks for the comment and the information!
tried this but it still checks for the battery... in my case it reads C:\lenovo>6uuj20us.exe -sp lenovo is the folder i made on my c drive for this. Thx in advance
Error : Invalid WinFlash parameters
Legend!!!
Tried -sp but it still checks ... Don't know why
Even technicians told me this was not possible without a new battery, thank you.
/forceit makes no difference to me, still get the no battery warning! any ideas?
Same here, doesn't work
Was stuck trying to update for ages, thanks! Besides, straight to the point... My kind of tutorial
Thank's a lot bro, I've tried several ways using other cmd tricks and no luck, and after following this method it worked perfectly,
I'm using a Delltitude E6230 within the battery condition not detected, battery not present, neither in Bios nor in Windows.
Thanks again, you are awesome.
👌👌👌
Yeah i tried tha same method but once the pc restarts it shows error 8716 : invalid usageplz help me
After installing the bios update when laptop restart there's no information of flash progress on my laptop and when laptop turns on i go to system information to check whether my bios is updated or not .then i see it's been same nothing change happened to it
After trying all manner of different methods this was clearly explained and, best of all , worked, Thank you.
Glad it helped.

I tried this and it still keeps giving me the same “caution” “ac adapter and battery must be plugged in” etc….
Sir thank you very much ... But for lenovo IdeaPad 80sm it is still saying that battery needs to be above 30% ... If there is any other way to resolve it ?
Who needs an internal battery when you have a UPS that'll last 4 hours powering the fridge
please help, my dell Precision 7520 still not complete with the boot screen, Flash Process Failed. I did every steps, the window screen showed the same as your vid but no luck with the "Black Dell Logo Screen"
Ok, here's a new one.
Tried updating the BIOS with:
1. The normal .exe install procedure. It was a fail as we know, the 10% battery issue.
2. Tried /forceit and i get the "Running on an unsupported system" error, but it is the right file.
3. Tried the Temp method and I couldn't see any folder made by the exe file
4. Tried installing by flashing BIOS (finally saw the usb flash file after resetting BIOS to default settings) but there I have the 10% battery issue.
Any workarounds? I'm out of ideas
It does work on some models not all

Hi, glad i've found your video after watching tons of stupid videos. I just wanna say that it actually works and have a nice day man 🙏
Glad to hear that. All my other videos show things that don’t work :)
Thank you so much 🙏🏼 it's worked on dell Inspiron 7566 ( no battery) , I tried every thing but your way was the best ❤❤❤
I wish we can show picture proof of this working, I took my battery out personally like 2 years ago and couldn't update bios for the longest, THANK YOU💪🏾💪🏾
So it worked? That’s good to hear. I’ll dig around to see if I have any other dead battery laptops.
I have a problem relating to this please if you can help me please reply me so i can tell you the problem 😭🙏
I am using a dell xps 14 and trying to update the BIOS. my problem is that when you click on the bios update it opens up a wizard of sorts to actually install the update, and then the error pops up.... so running through cmd will just populate the wizard and then the error persists. any experience with that issue?
nope. sounds like you should take it into a shop. there isn't much of a fee for that.
haha same issue the error pops after the wizard. We gotta buy new battery mate 😂 -- ( I am using DELL Inspiron N5110)
I have the same issue... ive done this method before, but it doesn't work. After i forceit it just gives me the same error
Awesome!!!
Thank you so much 🙏 it saved my day buddy god bless you ❤
good thing I happened to found this video..
nice information..
so, I think my battery or any other components that deal with power on my laptop got overheat(?)..
already took my laptop to any service center, and got the battery replaced...
for short time, there was nothing wrong with my laptop, but several months later the battery somehow couldn't be detected even though the battery life is still relatively new...
and it seems I need to update either the OS or the bios to fix this...
you guessed it, I couldn't update the bios because the system couldn't detect the battery, and I'm stucked now..
Did this work for you?
@@MikeDancy I haven't tried it yet..
but I'll try it as soon as I can..
@@MikeDancy update : it seems that this steps couldn't fix my problem..
my laptop is Acer aspire E5-475G..
I've tried several other solutions, but no result so far...
I'll try another tricks if I could find another free time..
Thank you sooo much. I needed a video like this on my Alienware M17 after my battery died. Got a new subscriber from me :D
Trying to figure out if a bios update is why my battery won’t charge on my m15, did you have a similar issue?
@@seancargill5340 my battery is as dead as it can get lol. the video helped me force the update on the bios and my laptop runs a lot smoother now.
Doesn't work on an inspiron 3521. It just opens InsydeFlash like normal. I was really hoping it would work.
did you find a solution yet? mine does the same thing

Hi when I move the file into dell folder it's not showing in cmd?
wow great video, just what I was looking for. Thanks a lot. I have a question: I bought 16 gb of RAM (which is the maximum supported by my laptop) but when I install the new RAM it doesn't recognizes it... So I read that I have to uptdate the bios. Am I right?
You need ram to access the bios usually. Did you get the right speed of ram?
I got error
Great Video and worked an OLD ACER ASPIRE with DEAD Battery. Just had to watch it several times for the exact entries in CMD. Would like to make a cheat sheet with exact CMD Promp's proper order. I will have to watch it again sveral times to catch the prompts to get them all right the first time; THANK YOU

I was struggling, very helpfull, thanks
If the ASUS laptop needs to update the BIOS, but there is no battery, you can try to enter ez flash, before clicking the BIOS update file, press and hold F11, and then press the BIOS update file, so that you can skip the battery check renew.
Well darn. I ran cmd admin but it still wouldn’t let me do it w/ out battery. Inspiron 15 3537 with windows 8.1
Awesome! Works perfectly
Save me from buying another battery 😊

Please let me know from what DIOS version you updated the laptop to A24. I got the exact model which runs the A13 version. I'd like to know if it is better to do all updates one after one or if it will be ok if I update directly to A24. Thank you
The A24 can be installed directly. It will contain past updates too.
Thank you ❤
Thank you so much man, 🎉❤
It Works For me..
I Have Dell Latitude 6420 and no battery 😅
After /forcit I was presented with "please enter the admin password to proceed with the flash" but this is exactly why I'm flashing the bios lol, because it's admin locked and sata controller is stuck in raid and I cant get my nvme m.2 to show up anywhere so I can install windows.

How do I update the BIOS of my Dell latitude E5470.
Currently the BIOS version is 1.22.3 installed on 2/17/2020.
The latest BIOS for update is of version 1.33.3 which is released on 09 Nov 2022.
Should I install this update or do I upgrade one step at a time as there are many versions available before the current latest version.
My question or consern is can I skip all the updates and directly install the latest BIOS version.
There are 9 BIOS version available before the latest 09 Nov 2022 version.
So I am confused as how to go about installing these BIOS updates.
I don't want to end up corrupting windows or motherboard.
Google “Dell support assistant” and install that then run the updater. It will handle all the updates for you.
it still showing 10battery error on Inspiron 15R 5521
Hello, is it possible do it on Toshiba Satellite S45?
"Invalid Option. Check the option." on Samsung + Phoenix BIOS update. :(
