About Lesson 1 - Stance and Posture:
In lesson one, Paul will show you the best way to stand on the oche. From front and back leg position to staying still and body posture. This will give you the fundamentals of the base you need to play darts. Make sure you stay tuned for lesson two to continue the darting masterclass as Paul runs through more oche essentials. - Спорт
I totally agree on the leading leg knee, i used to put too much weight on it, and it aggravated an old football injury! go steady on ya knee!
Excellent video Paul, you’re a natural teacher, well done!! Probably the best darts lessons available on UA-cam!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He’s a knobhead
Cheers Paul, great lesson, between you and Mardles vids, they really help
Thanks for the stance & posture
Absolutely loving this idea guys, I'm gonna put all of these into a playlist and go back to them when I need to.
I like playing this but i can't hit that middle, But i am going to still play and try. Great Video thank you for the lessons. 🤗💪👍
Thanks For Sharing.
Thanks Paul
Excellent tutorial with good detail and easy to follow explanations!
Please Paul start playing darts again you were useless at it. but it sure beats you doing commentary , you make the champions league of darts coverage even worse.
I’ve been playing 3-4 hours a day. My right knee and elbow are killin me
I am new at this and found your videos to be the most helpful. Could you possibly add a video showing exactly how to stand and throw being that I'm right handed yet left eye dominant.
Not possible to implement a proper dart stance if your right handed left eye dominant.
I'm the same as you!
Broke my right arm years ago and had to learn to play with my left hand. Felt weird at first but surprisingly I got used to it pretty fast. Threw a 137 out with my left which I thaught was quite impressive given that I'm right handed. I'm sure it helped being left eye dominant.
I would just follow the advice in the video and not worry so much about your dominant eye! It's been years for me since playing in a league but I used to hit 180's pretty regularly. 140's and tonnes everytime I played.
Practice and consistency is key. Being comfortable in your stance is also very important. Everything you do should be repeatable (the same) each throw. Tye more robotic you are with your movements and micromovements the better you will get.
Enjoy 🎯
I am left handed but I have always used my right hand to bowl, throw darts, hit a baseball. But! Now. After years of abuse of my right hand using tools and nursing care I am rediscovering my left handed ability
Any advice on shooting without a foot forward ( right eye dominance).
When I stand on the oche I stand to the right but feel like I’m dead centre but I’m not, how do I correct my alignment?
Thanks for the Top Fan Badge on fb Guys Really Appreciate it.
Daniel DartMan Hill They don’t give them out 😂😂 FB does automatically when you comment all the time
LMAO
Interesting and would love to hear feedback on this? Specifically position of weight would refer to the relationship between your sternum and right leg? If you stood on your right leg only and were balanced then weight would be considered neutral. However the sternum could be either forward or backwards ? From all your experiences how does this effect height of dart? If dart always finishes high is weight too forward or backward?
yes
What does it mean at 45° to board
For right hander, if the board is 12 o clock, you want the center of your chest pointing at 10:30 or 45 degrees off center. 9 oclock would be 90 degrees or directly left
Hello onam new dart player in turkey..i want improve my skills...donyou have cource in uk?
İ want come and learn
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Was look forward to watching these as Paul speaks, a lot of sense but unfortunately the video is useless without multiple camera angles
Paul Nicholson giving a darts master class? yea right!
Can I ask why you promote only one stance in terms of angle, front on etc? Does this not create tension
Please tell Paul he's a muppet and come back to Australia so we can go play poker at Crown again, like the old days:):):)
Wayne mardle is watching this, seething that it's being given away for free...
Yeah haha 200 pound an hour I hear he charges
But another player in the room watching you will notice small variations in what you do. So it can get beneficial to have some lessons.
@@jamieshannon9809 agreed but not for 200 quid an hr lol
Anyone who pays 200 quid per hour to hear something on the internet for free is a fool
Does anybody else not have a leading foot? I stand with both feet vertical up to the oche and feel so much more solid
I’ve been searching for tips on this… none yet
I thought he was dutch at first
Andrew Guilding has the worst preparation. Jamie Harvey had a weird stance , almost looked like there was no foot forward at all
This stance is basically accepted all over. Whether toe or outstep is adjacent to the oche. However there is the two foot forward to the oche stance made famous by Tommy Barret who won the News of the World in consecutive years is seldom seen today.
Also for people with Dartitis the opposite leading foot can be used to eleviate the Dartitis problem. Sadly it will return when you take up the normal stance. I call it the golf shot (i.e. opposite positioned hands on the putter"Yips").
Yes I know the remedy to Dartitis.
Known it for twenty years.
Sadly you all think these pro players are good.
I don't!
Don't play the player or the dartboard.
Kill the dartboard.
Oh and throw or sling a linear dart not a parabola dart.
I guess Americans don't play darts
These videos seem pointless to me, everyone has their own unique way of throwing darts so I don't really see how this kind of thing helps anyone
Phil Muggeson I think I may agree with you
Agree
I agree but for beginners this is a good help
I disagree, the grip and stance videos make it perfectly clear not to hamper your own style. and, the only things he was dead set on were: not hurting yourself, not putting too much stress on the dart, and not moving your elbow/stance, which are objectively good tips imo
Everyone has their own way of learning. I listen all the time and take what I need. You might prefer to not listen and just throw.
Everyone has their own way.
Nagyon rossz video volt nem segített semmit még mindig mellé megy
far from master this paul
Talking about body position the entire video, not once showing a full body shot from a distance and only showing a close up of the face the entire time. That's epic fail. Thanks for nothing.
He was a bad loser who never won much so who cares what he thinks lol
An average pro but way better than you could imagine to be yourself
Nicholson and Masterclass two words that don't belong in the same sentence
