also tip for people that don't know the names of parts on your bike. Seth from berm peak goes through and names and points out parts of the bike that's also a good thing to know when taking your bike to the shop!!
A rough top headset bearing was the cause of the clicking and clacking I had to deal with on the weekend. Small part, easy fix!
Right on thanks for sharing and glad it wasn't something major!
Great video series! Check bolts, and lube (often) before you go ride. It’s much better than doing it on the trail✌🏼❤️🍻
Thanks for watching.
Took me like 2 yrs to track down a creak.... slightly loose spoke that needed tightening
With loose headsets, also make sure you have at least 2-3mm gap between your top cap and top of the steerer tube.
Yes! Good call and always important.
Please Part 2 🙏🙏🙏
I had a creak that was driving me crazy, thought it was the bottom bracket, cleaned, greased, and it still was there. I took the pedals off, cleaned, greased, and used teflon tape on the threads, and put them back on. Creak was gone.
Another creak to check, before thinking it's the bottom bracket, is the chainring. Grease the bolts, and for direct mount, grease where it contacts the cranks.
Thanks for sharing
Great informative video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it.
learning to work on your bike is as important as riding one I learnt with a lot of practice and 5-6 cheap bikes in the long run its better to invest in tools instead of paying every year to a bike shop
I had OVER-SPRAYED PAINT on my middle pivot of my frame shock; and it was creaking as I pedaled from side to side up hills. REALLY ANNOYING. I slowly disassembled each part of the shock pivots and scraped the paint off the frame where the rocker arm pivots (fulcrum point) and cleaned it, greased it, and did not even notice until I much later realized, hey, that skweek is gone! I like to understand any noise, and any NEW NOISE on my bike; only way to trust it. I had changed saddles, lubed anything I could think of; I was starting to have mental disorders until I upgraded the shock and noticed the paint on the frame pivot area then..
Once had a creak, worked through everything and couldn’t eliminate it. Started after a fall so figured it was something. LBS couldn’t figure it out either…turns out it was my dropper collar. Slight turn and silence
Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, good catch.
Great tips!
Thanks very much. Hope they help.
That Fezzari is sick!
Thanks, yeah i really dig this purple color!
4:20 - if you own a new fox fork....... Expect play and knock noises in this area... completely normal according to only fox NZ and no other brand.
I hope we have an EXT review co i g our way soon 😍
front end creaking can be annoying. From git between bars/stem, stem/steer, improperly tightened stem to a steer tube loose on the crown.
Great video. I would have like to hear what kind of Lube and where.
look at that nice purple Fezzari!
What do you do for Fox Factory 36 ticks?
Awesome
Thanks for watching.
I have a rattling sound in my fox 38 when i drop the bike on the front end and when i ride
same, did you find out what it was?
Hopefully it’s the bike making noise and not your body. Easier to fix. lol
My body makes plenty!! Sadly
