- Matchday Menus takes us to some of the world’s coolest spots as food and football combine for a mouthwatering combination.
In the UK, where there’s football, there is ALWAYS pies. And in Morecambe, they’d argue they do them better than anyone. Adam heads to the seaside to create his Morecambe Matchday Menu ahead of their cup tie with Carlisle United, complete with the club’s award-winning pies, as well as local Fish and Chips and Saltmarsh Lamb.

Food in Portuguese stadiums are boring af it's like burgers and hot dogs and crisps...outside the ground is a whole new ball game though best steak sandwiches ever
@@21cup That's what I'm talking about, some of his other Matchday Menu episodes he doesn't even eat in the stadium it's all about what goes on in the city. Something like Porto with port wine, a francesinha, some fresh fish? Sounds bomb to me

I rate Adam for being so optimistic about British food. We get slagged off by most Americans so his enthusiasm is pure sweet.

i always pick morecambe when i do my fifa RTG campaign. this season 2025-2026 and morecambes fearsome attack includes rashford, joao felix and mbappe. felix was brought in to replace the ageing griezmann (35yo) and has big shoes to fill because griezman has helped morecambe win the double and the treble (UCL, EPL x2, fa cup x2). Go the shrimps!

Adam, your killing me 😁 when I was training at west ham. I had the fish and chips and my favorite meat pies at the old Stadium on green street. Nothing even close in the states that I’ve seen. Hope you enjoyed it. Mouth is watering.

I’ve got to say though there are some utterly evil football pies in England. The worse I had once was away at Villa Park and it was filled with brown slop with one huge piece of what I thought was meat.... it was a massive solid piece of gristle.

It's good to see that so many Americans are now starting to understand that British food is actually incredible, and that we have some of the best seafood and meat in the world.

The brits have some nice foods. I mean, a pie filled with meat sounds wonderful to me. For some reason growing up in Germany, I always been told their food would suck.
Germans have no right to criticise British foods. Only the Mediterranean countries are allowed to do this, they actually have the top cuisines in the world (France, Italy, Greece, Spain).

It quite often sucks. But they do have great food there. Lived there a few years. They lack quality in the average shops that people go to everyday.
@@511dydy we really don't, we have the some of the best produce in the world, and the best lamb and pork and beef, we also have excellent sea food. unfortunately the perception that British food is poor comes from a bigoted perception that our working classes subsist of fried cheap food (which is somewhat the case)

I love this guy, he’s American and he says football instead of soccer and chips instead of fries.
Does it really matter though? Nothing wrong with saying "soccer" or "fries." I'm proud to be American and I have no shame in using those words. I don't shame the English for calling it football or chips, so why should you shame us for doing that? Double standards, dude.

Came in here fully expecting to continue the centuries-old Lancashire tradition of towns slagging each other's pies off, but fair play to Morecambe for actually making them on-site instead of ordering them in frozen.
U should come to Lisbon in a Sporting vs Benfica match day to try out the food stalls around the stadium and the atmosphere
You need to come down to Deal in Kent then for the best fish and chips. Meet some local spratwafflers, past down from generation to generation. Local fisherman to local chippy, can't beat it

@@TheScouseassassin it is. I support Montrose so Arbroath are our hated rivals. Their stadium is practically in the north sea and is possibly the coldest place on earth but the food more than makes up for it.
