- This is my review of the Apple Vision Pro after buying it and using it for the past month. I like the Apple Vision Pro; it's cool, it's fun, it's expensive, it has some annoying features or lack thereof, and for the tech enthusiast maybe it's worth it, but it's not worth it for most people.

It’s in its infancy stages. Some may remember when the chunky cell phones first came out compared to now. I’ll wait until it’s more developed.

I used the 4k that I could’ve used for the Vision Pro and put it as part of a down payment for a Tesla. I tried it first week, but didn’t think it was worth 4k. Returned it and used it towards a new car as my car was breaking down after 30 years
I do not want to be cruel but you decided to avoid a 4000 dollar trendy contrivance whose justification and existence is entirely questionable to spend that 4000 dollars FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING 60000 dollars in the finance hole for a larger trendy contrivance whose justification and existence is entirely questionable.
Just buy a used Honda civic for the 4k. Live debt free.

Great video. Definitely not as needlessly negative as I expected from an Android/PC guy. Thank you. What do you think of the ability to work using 3D space? I can’t wait to see what form it will take. Apple has been very quiet about the interest enterprise has shown in VR. Lots of money invested. I’ve seen several interesting businesses already gearing up. An obvious one was real estate. The examples of 3D estate tours in the AVP were amazing. Construction was another. Another was on retail websites where you literally walk down the aisles, pick up and turn the item around to view it, then go to checkout and pay. Sorry no virtual shipping yet. Another was oddly from a lawyer ready to hire out for all the ethical and legal issues created by this new technology.
That's a hella expensive pair of ski goggles.

ive just recently started enjoying my quest 2 with the uevr mod its enough for gaming with a pc if the vision pro can play unreal engine their will be something you can use it for

I really don't get the point. Are you looking at which Apple Watch Tim Cook wears to decide which one to get yourself?
AVP as it stands now is not a device to wear in public. You might wear it in an office setting or home with your family sometimes, but mostly you'll be wearing it when you're by yourself. So you won't see Tim Cook wearing it at the kind of events where you're likely to see Tim Cook.
And think about it: If you DID see Tim Cook wearing it pretty much all the time, would that make you think, "Now I have to get one."? I expect you'd still make up your own mind based on what AVP could do for you, and whether the price tag is worth it.
Only for die hard Apple fans. Which is true cause you will need an iPhone to even get one. That's another $800+. Oh you want to see it on TV? That's another $300.
I'm glad that it's working for you and you like it but you're a content creator so in a way it's another way to make revenue so it's all gravy. I do agree that it isn't worth the price snd the storage upgrades are a joke. It's a first gen item so it's gonna be expensive but realistically this should be more like $1,500 tops. For Apple to damand $3,500 is them being Apple which mean it's not meant for everyone or the masses.

it does have a ir illuminator . thats how it seens your hands when you click. works great in the dark for me. pitch baclk. only thing is dont move your hands near your mouth cuz it puts up a warning that resets everything. sometimes if i move the blanket it triggers it too lol
I have probably use the thing for 30 hours at night time. It cannot see your hands if the room is dark. It gives you an actual warning telling you that it can’t see your hands.
DOJ should have looked at Apple's ridiculous pricing for storage on their devices. Non-replaceable RAM and SSDs is why I will never buy a Mac.
I love the quality and i wish wish wish the occulus 3 had the 8k..i box... its amazing. Plus some guns games. The rest is lame. Apple pro doesnt even gave photoshop

People commenting that it’s a rip off and too expensive are like people saying they would never buy a Lamborghini, it’s all cope. A Prius also does 95% of the things a Lamborghini does as far as getting from point A to B. But saying that sounds ridiculous right? A Lamborghini doesn’t have the storage space or gas mileage of a Prius so it’s a rip off lol save your money! A Lambo is also 10 times more expensive than an affordable sports car. Excuse the car analogy, No disrespect, just saying. People forget, this is a luxury item. No one’s forcing you to buy it, Apple never said it’s gonna replace your Quest 3 or television.
Lol the Prius is more like 5% of a Lambo. The only thing they have in common is that they both use gas. 😂
Also Apple is soooo pushing this as your main entertainment hub. The only problem is that it's a non sharing experience which matters to a lot of people.
@@volcalstone I think you missed the point of the car analogy, Quest and Vision Pro are both in practicality at the end of the day VR headsets. It’s just that Vision is packed with more tech and premium materials. And of course it’ll be less social because Apple is pushing photo realism and the install base isn’t there because of the price. There’s no way Apple is going to have their first social experiences with the likes of VRChat and Meta Horizon and all the trolling that goes on in both. I just think it’s dumb to argue about which one is better, it’s whatever you can afford. I own both headsets and they’re both fantastic
@@DROCIVXX no I was trying to make fun of your analogy. The thing is that the Quest 3 does about 80% of the things the Pro could do and at a lot cheaper price. There are things the Quest 3 is better at and vice versa. It all comes down to the user experience for the general masses out there as only nerds will care about the specs. That's probably like 10% or so of us.
At the end of the day it's up to the user if it's worth it or not. To me the price to performance ratio on the Quest 3 makes it a no brainer if you're into AR/VR. It's a standalone product with a battery on the actual headset. Look mom and wires which is so unlike Apple if we're being honest here. The Pro audience is very niche while the Quest 3 is the only headset most people will ever need. It's an A+ in my books while the Pro is like a B-. Great tech but at an arm and a leg.
@@volcalstone I see what you’re saying, but what I’m saying is the analogy was never meant to be a 1 to 1 comparison. Question, do you own a Vision Pro? Or have you used one long term? Probably a better analogy is trying to compare a PS5 and a Mac Pro, sure you can play games on both, but you can’t compare the experiences, and to be quiet honest, the less time you’ve (not you personally, but in general) had with either device, the less valid your “review” or “rating” is. Lots of guys who debate on these threads, own neither device or only a Quest or have zero to little experience (in store demo) with the Vision Pro.
@@DROCIVXX I don't have the Pro nor do I need to know that it's a rip off. 😊 I'm a techy person and love stuff like this but I just feel like it wasn't executed the right way and the price should be a factor if you want a high adoption rate.
Let's just say I don't have any Apple products but if I were to get one it would be the iPad Pro. I haven't touched an iPhone in a while. They're nice phones for the masses but just isn't my thing. That being said I believe in a more universal experience that everyone should be able to use. The Pro again is a walled off Apple products that you will need an iPhone to even purchase. The price for me personally to even use the Pro would be closer to around $5,500 (phone and Pro spec up). With the Quest 3 which I don't have either will only cost me 1/10th of that price. For the price of Pro I would rather build a custom PC rig with a 4090 which I did several months ago.
At the end of the day to each their own I guess. I will enjoy my Xreal Air glasses for the time being. I want to pick up the Quest 3 but probably gonna wait for a sale or wait it out for the Quest 4 that will hopefully have eye tracking. I will probably want to pick up the PS VR2 now that it's starting to support the PC.
I would never buy that thing it's way too expensive I don't even like to spend money I still can't get myself to get the new s24 Ultra I keep saying I'm going to get it and I keep stopping myself because I don't want to spend the money

I have a Quest 2, it is amazing gaming experience for sure, but it cannot do something what the Vision Pro could. The UI in meta Quest is very limited.l, there is no eyetracking and face scan tech
