Derek, it’s a fact, your Oxford grips are designed to Auto shut off after a short period with key in ignition off position. It’s a feature benefit that is clearly stated in the installation instructions.
I did read the instructions and I'm fully aware of that but I do feel better having the system definitely switched off when the ignition key is turned off. Now it's doubly safe.
Ill definitely have to change my wiring to this way. The oxford grips aren't as pretty, but with a little DIY you can get them looking decent also these get a LOT warmer than the oem ones. Ill take the oxfords over oem any day of the week. Great video
This is a great informative video Derek, it has helped me no end. Thank you.

I found hairspray to be an effective lubricant and bonding agent

Butt ugly imo, bought a set and you have changed my mind. Thx for that.
I have to agree.. they're not too pretty but as you discovered you'll love them when it's cold or even just riding in the wet!
Heated gloves mate, heated gloves.
wrong, oxford turns off automatically of engine is stopped after few minutes.
I figured it out after the installation but my method is better anyway because if the bike is off the grips are off.
