I am so happy to run across this video... I have tried many time without any success of propagating a jade plant leaf.. well, now after watching this, I am going to give it another try... Doing this tomorrow on a plant we were growing for 7.5 years and then it took a fall...... We saved some but we were on vaca so much of it was gone. We saved it after 5 months of care and now it's time to bring her back to a beautiful life. My son planted the first cutting when he was 4 in Montessori Class and it was so big and beautiful. 1 leaf turned into a huge pant and she will be reborn soon.

What a great video to learn from! So many methods for people to try. Yesterday my mum snapped off some jade plant branches after I said ‘oh that’s a nice plant’ she said just stick it in soil and it will grow lol.. 😂

I’m pretty sure dirt is always some sort of 50/50 never guaranteed same can be said for water but water had way better odds. Hope it worked.

I've found that for jade plants, propagating in soil works best if you water only when the soil is completely dry

Everyone I've spoken to say propagating jade is the easiest thing, but only if you know how!! I've failed twice already trying to propagate it but this video is SO. GOOD. I feel like I know all I need to make mine grow now :) I'm really looking forward to my future jade!!

Good video. I have always use dirt for new starts with luck but you just can't see if they are rooting. Will have to try the water trick. Also wanted to suggest if I may...Your FORK, use plyers and bend the tines halfway up to a 90 degree angle, make a nice, easy to use rake.
