Doing this tomorrow on a plant we were growing for 7.5 years and then it took a fall...... We saved some but we were on vaca so much of it was gone. We saved it after 5 months of care and now it's time to bring her back to a beautiful life. My son planted the first cutting when he was 4 in Montessori Class and it was so big and beautiful. 1 leaf turned into a huge pant and she will be reborn soon. Thanks for the video and time, we'll follow your steps to a T.
I am so happy to run across this video... I have tried many time without any success of propagating a jade plant leaf.. well, now after watching this, I am going to give it another try... Fingers crossed. this looked like i may understand what to do... thank you for this video.. I am sure there are others, but, this is the one I watched.
Thank you for the video. I never had a jade plant and tried to save some cuttings but none of them made it. Since then I've been obsessed with them and found this video and it helped me learn how to propagate them in the future. Thank you!
This is the best plant video I've run across. I am crossing my fingers that my 2 jade petals are successful this time. I did everything you showed us to do. I love the manner in which you provide instruction even without a word said. BRAVO and keep them coming. I will watch all your videos this week. Thank you for help all of us be successful.😁
I've propagated succulents from leaves & lay them on soil and it didn't take long for them to sprout roots & young plants, very easy. I will do the jade plant next!
Everyone I've spoken to say propagating jade is the easiest thing, but only if you know how!! I've failed twice already trying to propagate it but this video is SO. GOOD. I feel like I know all I need to make mine grow now :) I'm really looking forward to my future jade!!
I actually have a real easy time propagating mine, but have the hardest time actually growing them. Mine just keeps rotting even though I'll leave 'em for literally two whole months
What a great video to learn from! So many methods for people to try. Yesterday my mum snapped off some jade plant branches after I said ‘oh that’s a nice plant’ she said just stick it in soil and it will grow lol.. 😂
Hey, would love to see the technique you used wherein you've covered the glass with plastic film and the plants are tucked in from the holes. The rooting looked quite healthy!
Good video. I have always use dirt for new starts with luck but you just can't see if they are rooting. Will have to try the water trick. Also wanted to suggest if I may...Your FORK, use plyers and bend the tines halfway up to a 90 degree angle, make a nice, easy to use rake.
What a well made video, and thank so much for sharing it! I like that you were so precise, and you moved very slowly, so it was ultra easy to follow. How often do you change the water while waiting for the root system to grow?
Thank u. It is very useful idea 2 grow in water. I just want 2 know which manure u used in the pot. Pl. Suggest in the next video.. God bless u always.
I put the jade leaf outside on existing plant pots, let them dry naturally n grow roots . Allow them 1-2 months..not all leaves will be successful but let mature do its work

@@swulff8778 Awesome! I've got a total of 20 plants now and even gave away 10 to my sons friends who's plants died from their school project.

The best jade plant propagation I've ever watched. Thanks for this!
Question... What is the remedy for falling leaves? My jade plant is slowly shedding its leaves and I am panicking! Please help. 😭
@@28andee watering to frequently. I let mine dry out dusty crusty before watering
Excellent video!!! Thanks a lot!!
Watch it in 2x speed.
I’ve never had luck with the dirt, will try with the water. Thanks!
I’m pretty sure dirt is always some sort of 50/50 never guaranteed same can be said for water but water had way better odds. Hope it worked.
I'd been trying to propagate 2 leaves for what feels like foreverrrr. They finally started sprouting leaves!
congrats! 😄
After how long?

I've found that for jade plants, propagating in soil works best if you water only when the soil is completely dry

Thanks for video! Why you put paper first and after soil?
V good vdo
Jades like dry soil, water once a week just wet the soil. They also prefer smaller pots, even when they get to tree size.
@thegreenearth should I also let cuttings of Devil's Ivy dry for 3 days?
no need
Tq nice
Boa tarde 🌷 Qual a terra,ou subistrado que vc usou pra plantar? Obrigada 😊
