    Nice but I would recommend working on a table and not the car. Snaps from top can scratch paintwork on car and dirt from car can scratch lights (plastic) on top.

    Love the simplicity. It's very much like my MG Midget Mk I which had a spring loaded cam lock to compress the frame a couple inches to slacken the top before removal. It was way easier than the permanently attached one that came afterwards. When the time comes to replace the top, you don't have to hire a professional installer.

    OK, still a pain in the ass. I have been doing it right. Thank god I take it off at home and hang it on a rack I made up. The 'boot'. I never get tired of hearing the trunk referred to as that!

    Why didn't you show how to lift the frame out of its sockets, pull it in half to fold up and put it in the trunk with the top? It only adds another two minutes. The total of both in the trunk adds about 3" of space. It was a design that didn't need improving.
