I will be getting Chug vinyl .
I should be receiving the Ultimate Edition any day now, and my Chug pedal tomorrow 🤘🤘
Can u review mark holcomb blue burst guitar of 2023
Just got a t2.6c. Omg what a guitar. Definitely purchasing one with everyone soon. Most definitely the coolest guitar I've ever owned
🤘🤘
Schecter's signature models have been absolutely killing it. Nick Johnston, Aaron Marshall, Keith Merrow, and now this. Honestly I like a few of those models more than i like their music.
@thesmellycatjazz i totally agree, and schecter offers all their signature guitars 🎸 in a lefty version just like kiesel
Jeff Loomis' sig guitar was always a lust for me!
KM's sig guitars are also beasts, I'd get a couple if I could afford them 😂😂😂
@@JohnWiku Be careful with the KM’s signature, I had a MkII and the truss rod was nearly unusable after 2 or 3 setups as the metal of the piece was useful to adjust the truss rod bent like butter. My luthier had to drill into it since using an Allen key ended up being impossible.
@@Wurst_wurst if your KM did that, then no Schecter guitar is safe 🤣🤣🤣
@@Wurst_wurst btw, I was looking for a high end 7 string, KMs were out of stock and way out of reach in price, so I went Solar instead.
Proud owner of a S1.7LB, it's just perfect in every way!
Beautiful Axe! Mad respect for showing another guitar even having you own brand, mr. Ola! "You're breathtaking"!
It doesn’t look THAT good. It’s kinda cool looking, but it doesn’t come close to the best of Kiesel or even the other Schecter guitars.
@@Matthew_Klepadlo why do think it's not as good as the other schecters on the same calibre?
@@Matthew_Klepadlo Kiesel lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
djent kid take
John's playing is on a whole nother level.
A new level!!!!!!!
A whole.... Nuvva..... Level.
Absolutely 🔥
Schecter's killing it with the signature models. The new Kenny Hickey signature is exactly what I would've likely picked on a custom shop order, and this one's just badass too. The 7-string version of this one would be a great compliment to the first one in a recording arsenal.
This is the first time I’m seeing anyone put the 3 way switch away from the picking area and I’m all for it!
been playing guitar for over 24 years now, have owned everything from old and new gibsons, strats, esp, prs, ibanez, etc...have only owned 2 schecters over the years, but i gotta say, they are some of the best feeling guitars for guitar players in my opinion. and that's from early on, back in the day, schecters were just as good. now they're even better, beautiful, and honestly have had a better build quality than some fender strats that i've bought that were twice the price. flawless. and they're affordable with cool features like sustainiacs, etc....they're not my favorite brand, but if you're on a budget you absolutely cannot go wrong with a schecter.
Umm what? No idea what any of that says. Maybe sell a few guitars and get a lesson or two on say English and how grammar works? haha you expect anyone to believe you owned any of those expensive guitars? You start a sentence with "been" lol. Does even your mum believe you? Did she buy the guitars for you. OMG too funny.
And if a person ever has the means to get one, USA Schecters are amazing. Personally I would have one of those over Fender/Gibson USA models.
that intro song is incredible and john totally deserves this signature guitar schecter is a cool company
Heavy Bones - The Chug Project
Thank you for this very informative video! Great demo and sound correlation with the Chug pedal (which I own and love). Especially with the detail you went into on the pickups…love this type of modern sound and good information on how unforgiving they are. Love from the USA. 🙏🎸
Impressive that Schecter managed to make 2 dream guitars for me: The Keith Merrow and this one. Sadly, they're UNPAYABLE in Brazil. Import guitars come here at the price of a popular car or small house. (On that note, thank you Ola for making deals for Solar with brazilian vendors
I love it. Very similar to my KM7 MKIII as you mentioned.
I picked up the 7 string version. The guitar is amazing!
Schecter Makes some killer guitars! Recently snagged a C-7 Hellraiser, and it's absolutely incredible. Going to grab one of their six-strings next
If this isn’t djent enough for you, just got their Omen 7 Elite MS. Threw 10-74 8 string set on her, minus the 64, and dropped it to F#. Still intonates well, and the action is lower than I ever thought possible lol. I love Schecters
This guitar always looks way better in these demos than it does on the official promo pictures.
@JohnBrownemonuments Congrulations! And thank you @OlaEnglund for the review! It's always fun to watch your videos and get honest reviews! Please keep up the good work! Cheers
This guitar sounds beautiful, nice to have an affordable John Browne sig
Love me a good schecter. Their USA custom shop is so under appreciated.
Awesome video Ola and I love Brownes playing style I joined Riffhard Johns online courses are incredible.
5:30 I was waiting for that exact riff. Sooooo refreshing
I love Schecter guitars 🤘💪
Ola, love your honest guitar reviews.
This does not surprise me at all. Schecter is absolutely killing it.
I just got this guitar yesterday. It’s such an amazing guitar!
Hi, I wanna this guitar love the color and so on. But I am not a fan of this shadow headstock and I saw some people complaining about the neck dive. Which is understandable because of the shadow headstock. What about the neck dive? Especially with the 6 string?
@@xx2 I think it's mostly due to the position of the strap button (for standing, when seated it does seem to still have a little). If you look up Rob Arnold's youtube channel, he has a good video demonstrating it and how to fix it, although it involves drilling into the guitar, to relocate the strap button.. which I wouldn't want to do on a new $1,600 guitar. It's really a shame they put the button in that spot.
John is an amazing player I love this guitar 🎸 congrats John n thank you Ola for demoing it!
The midrange on those pick ups is next level.
Your lead and rhythm chops are impressive 😮
Melodic section in this demo was real sick!
What a Fvcking awesome guitar tone!!
Agreed
That head-stock is the second sexiest thing I have seen the whole video :D The sound is killer too!
I do like that headstock. Really cool guitar overall
Congrats on hitting 800k!
Schecters are my JAM! I'd like this guitar in a 7 strung version!
Amazing!! Its design looks really nice 😮
Hell yeah man I love my Schecter... C-1 Platninum is a sweet smooth ripper.
Ola always seems to upload during my lunch hour… nice
So beautiful guitar! Thanks a lot for the review!
Love that pickup and rig combo sounded perfect for a recording
Man, you gotta get Browne back on! Love that guy. I have never been excited about Schecters though.....dont know why....never even played one. But that thing has my attention and i want one!....dare i say i try a Schecter before i try a Solar!.....Blasphemy, i know.....
😎🎸
I just got one of these last weekend. It really is a fantastic guitar, and the pickups are great. The Colossus does have a lot of mid range content but honestly I found it to be more balanced than my 7 string with a Duncan Nazgul in it (an admittedly unbalanced pickup). I was worried the neck might be too thin but it's very comfortable as you say, found it to be perfect for me. The body is similar to the KMs but not exactly, he's got some custom carves going on and I think the body/horn shape is slightly different. Guitar sounds damn good.
Another great demo video 🤘🇨🇦🤘
I've been a schecter dude since 04. Still have my first Diamond series Omen 6 with Syn' Gates first signature invader pickup installed lol
I love my diamond series demon six. Active pickups cost me 600 cad. And looks amazing with black hardware.
Awesome playing
I just got a schecter banshee gt. Its insane how high quality it is for the price.
another great start to the morning with an Ola video . sikk guitar my brother
Damn, thought John was a mayones die hard. Schecter has stepped their game up massively these last several years. Happy with mine, I know that.
Hell yeah, I am a sucker for Schecter and Monuments
Sick guitar, sick sound and sick playing! Jävla bett i stallmicken!!! Me likes! 😎
I really wanna see Ola play the Aaron Marshall schecter signature!
Funny story, I bought a Neko prototype guitar body off John Browne. It had no electronics or anything, just a two-piece body and neck. I met him outside a theatre in London and I said some cringe fanboy stuff. Despite me being in dumb fanboy mode, he was awfully polite and friendly.
I have a Schecter 5-string Stealth bass and it absolutely slays.
Well that's a beauty.. That color is just amazing!
damnn, that guitar sounds schweet as hell
Pretty cool! Looks like a nice guitar. I played Schecter years ago and overall they were fine, but they always put duncan designed pickups in their models which were thin sounding to me. Glad they've stepped up their specs. Would love to see you review Aaron Marshall's Schecter
Nice playing today bro!
I play Schacter guitars since 5 years. First some Hellraisers with EMGs, now Apocalypse. All guitars are excellent. I love Schecters Apocalypse pickups - made for metal but you can play other styles as well.
Hey Ola! Killer demo! I have a quick question about the signal chain. Are you running the Chug into the front of an amp here?
If I'm not mistaken, the second riff featured one of Ola's signature vocal performances over the second riff in it's first incarnation.
That model is as close as any high-end custom guitars you can get!! Will get the 7 strings version in 2025.
I get the same vibe from this guitar as from my Solar s2.6c, the sound, playability and tightness overall. I love Schecter btw and actually sold mine (an Omen Extreme) to buy my Solar. Absolutely no regrets tbh.
great video. I wonder if you had to make any adjustments to the truss rod for proper relief or the action to make it shred? Pickup heights as well. Any fret buzz?
Schecter was always good base for modifications. And getting on start good Wood etc
Same thing for me with Schecter. I had a C1 fifteen years ago and it always felt off, and the neck was just weird. It tarnished Schecter for me, but I’m seeing some models lately that I’d like to test in person.
I agree. They are always decent, but in recent years they've really stepped it up, especially with the signatures. I never really go out to buy someone's signature, but the specs in the Nick Johnston Traditional, Aaron Marshall, and now this is giving me many reasons to look at them over Ibanez, LTD, or even a Fender.
You probably got a dud. My hellraiser is probably 12 years old now and very solid. Every schecter I've played always felt great in terms of build quality.
@@metalheadblues the hellraiser is definitely a different product. The C1 I had was a neckthrough and it just felt like a board the a nail on each end of it with chicken wire wrapped on both ends. It was just lifeless
I love that you actually tried the different pickup configurations and the single coils (which sound soo good!). A lot of the times they just try the bridge pickup (if you only use the bridge pickup for playing that's fucked up).
Sick! But…. Man, not having any string dampening behind the nut was driving me…. Nuts. Lol.
the guitar looks amazing jeeze
I love Schecter guitars. I have 4, and I've never been let down by them.
If you can, check out their Silver Mountain guitars. I've played guitars triple the price that didn't sound as good or play as well.
Ya need to play Soulburn from Meshuggah..the Djentiest of Djent songs
Just ordered the 7-string!
3:15 gosh, that thing needs fretwrap asap XD
That opening had mad Hevy Devy vibes.
I love the color!
Shecter is one of the best brands out there, for me personally the best
Damn.
Both this and Mayones one look hella awesome.
As Schecter is concened I renember I was after the Loomis Signatures some ten years back. And man, they were almost unplayable with those Baseball-bat necks. But after I‘ve seen the Master‘s hands on one of his clinics… man, that guy‘s fingers are nearly double in length as mine!
I decided to try another non- Signature Model and that was perfect till today. Pretty much the same Profile as my Vinter 8.
Ola did some Vola in that beginning jam
Destroy erase improve-ish! Sounds SICK
Schecter makes some really high quality guitars now.
I did a video with the 7 string TAO and oh my it's amazing !
Schecter's Great demo🤘
i have two schecter guitars, they are both great, they are worth every penny and kick ass
The bridge pick up reminds me of a more modern spin on like a JB. That's what I hear!
Hell yeah! Monuments are my dudes.😎
The neck dive on the Mayo is the same, for the same reason you called out - ash body and wenge neck.
I love my Schecters.
Didnt see John moving from Mayones, thats a lovely axe by Schecter, dont understand the hate for them every Blackjack I've had has been top notch.
I have a 2007 Hellraiser C1 FR, and it's probably one of the most shreddy guitars I own. Yes the neck is a bit more C shaped than what I normally play, but the action is level flat and I don't even realize the difference compared to an Ibanez Wizard III.
I have a Schecter Hellraiser C-7 passive with a set of Schecter Brimstone pickups. I’ve tried to love them but they just sound entirely too loose for what I play. This sounds leaps and bounds better than the Brimstone pickups.
As for Schecter guitars in general I have an SLS Evil Twin 6 string shown in my profile photo that both sounds and feels absolutely crushing in the hands. Honestly one of the best guitars I’ve ever played in my life. Every time I pick it up I have a very hard time trying to put it down.
I have the SLS Evil Twin as well, fantastic guitar, especially for the price. Also never realized I needed a hipshot bridge, it's so comfortable to rest your hand on.
What tuning do you use? Not every pickup Schecter makes is suited for downtuned stuff. Brimmies are very compressed and hot, I'd use them in standard and noth much more
@@taxo I got them to work going straight into my Randall RG300H, they work great together with the right EQ settings, it’s kind of it’s own thing, but once you figure out how to get the amp to work with your guitar everything becomes a whole lot easier for dialing in heavy sounds.
@@taxo I got them to work going straight into my Randall RG300H, they work great together with the right EQ settings, it’s kind of it’s own thing, but once you figure out how to get the amp to work with your pickups, everything becomes a whole lot easier for dialing in heavy sounds. You can even throw in a graphic EQ and really get to changing things around to create your own sound while maintaining the qualities of the intended sound. It took some time to focus them in, but I got it nailed down!
@@Stretchwreckedem469great! I think they are great pickups for heavy rhythm, but just like many Schecter pickups are not immediately suited for everything, so to have em work properly yeah, you gotta make some tweaks. Unfortunately these days most players swap out pickups as soon as the guitars arrives home for the trend of the month, and noone tries to put some effort, which is something that pays back, a lot
For real bro... I went Schecter nuts some time ago... I call their pickups Truth Tellers.
I almost bought one of these. I chose the purple E1 sweetwater exclusive instead which has turned out to be a solid guitar. But I think I'll still add one of these TAO's to the collection.
Any regrets with the E1? It was really hard for me to decide between that and the C-1 SLS Evil Twin.
@@SpookyApparition Only regret was I had to get the FR-S in order to get the purple finish I wanted. I yanked them out and put two F spaced Dimarzio Fortitudes in it and it shreds now though. The neck profile is perfect for me has a near gibson profile like my old mark morton dominion. I love the Evil Twin C-1 as well. My main guitar for two years has been a C-1 Apocalypse which is basically the same minus the fishmans and its a work horse.
Swamp ass body? Hell yeah 🤘
8:26 exactly my thoughts! The price tag on this guitar is just insane, specially in germany. But as long as people are willing to pay the price, companies will raise the prices, cause they know, if you want it, you will pay for it. But yeah, that's the way it is nowadays.
Exactly. Insane to ask 2,000 for a SK production guitar.
As far as i know its like 1.7k not 2k
Price tag in germany, still not under 2k.
Maybe im just a huge john brown fan but this guitar sounds fukcing sick
Kind of curious which guitar is better John Browne's or Keith Marrows? They both originally had Mayones signatures but now have Schecter equivalents.
Nice looking and sounding axe. Still wish they would have done the finish he had on the prototype though. And the price.. same with the new ESP Ltd’s here though. Guess i’m going to have to get used to that.
Dude that thing is sick, bro any chance of you trying a Harley Benton one day? Put a smile on us poor crusty dudes faces my man
Damn it Schecter! Just bought a San Dimas as my last guitar. Couldn’t afford a Mayonese. I guess you’re never done buying a new guitar
That guitar is way too sick!
Schecter best, no offence to the solar ola🤘
Holy shit - non solar guitar on olas Chanel 🤣
