Why is everyone so negative, the current method for fixing potholes dosen't work. So any innovation in this area even if it dosen't work like y'all want it's still good that they're working on it. Also for y'all who commented before finishing the video the only thing patch does is seal the hole. They still do the standard procedure underneath but we all know that dosen't last because water gets in, so I think the latch works really well
One guy was also making something right by patching with a mud and pebbles in front of his house forever exited potholes and almost was taken to the court by the local government.

Plows also tear regular pot hole patches to shreds so there’s no loss. Odds are an asphalt latch is more likely to bulge into a bump that the plow catches.
we don't have pot holes but the road gets melted and warps because of the heat the highest temp ever was 120F here 110F is typical in the summer. so the pavement will be about 180-200F or so aka *Washboarding* on asphalt which is pretty rare I'll get some photos and update wiki
I am with American Road Patch and we have tested this product in the extreme northern climates. What I can tell you is that as long as you install it properly it will perform. We have had snow plows come over the product shortly after installation and there was no damage. The key is if you are putting it down in cold weather, below 75 degree ambient temps, you need to torch the pavement or concrete its going over to 200 degrees. If you do that it will work. We've had patches that were applied 5 years ago that are still performing.
Actually the material is extremely tough. The tensile strength is very high and we have not had any instances of the product tearing. The snowplows are certainly challeging but we've had product installed in many areas that are exposed to snow plows and we've not had any issues to date. Thanks for your comment.
I don't think a lot of the people in the comments understand the materials being used or the purpose. The mat is most likely a tar and asphalt layer that adheres to the surface and allows rainwater to run off the road instead of into the cracks around the filled in hole, preventing it from eroding again. its not like a snow-plow its going to scoop it up or anything.
can you not use it? Its so trash if a road was properly fixed their cost in the video wouldnt be so high....I am very certain there are much better ways to fix a pothole.....They only want to make money from something we have already a solution too...so save your money they wont make it big. its almost a scam this company.

If the edges are tamped down good enough there shouldn’t be much of a lip at all to get snagged by a plow and if something somehow does cause it to lift and be plowed off then the hole is still filled in and will last a while longer. It’s not like a normal fill job is impervious to plows either, once they get water in them and it freezes it just pushes them up a bit to get plowed right up. With the patch over it it should keep water out but even if ground water or something got in it if it pushes the fill up the patch will flex with it and it shouldn’t create any gaps or anything to catch the edge.

I have a question : If this is so good , (and in my opinion it looks too good to be true ) ....why did you not show a test for example , a motorbike and/or a car and or/a lorry/truck do an emergency stop directly over it ? I simply asked this , because there is so little pressure [ for genuine adhesion ] added onto the tarmac for the finish , that it does not seem safe and becomes even more of a risk and liability to the road user . 🧐🧐🧐🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤔🤔🤔🤓🤓🤓🤨🤨🤨

I wanna see what happens when someone slams on the brakes while being on this
I have a question :
If this is so good , (and in my opinion it looks too good to be true ) ....why did you not show a test for example , a motorbike and/or a car and or/a lorry/truck do an emergency stop directly over it ?
I simply asked this , because there is so little pressure [ for genuine adhesion ] added onto the tarmac for the finish , that it does not seem safe and becomes even more of a risk and liability to the road user .

Why the fuck did I watch this.
Why the fuck did youtube recommend this
They’re furnishing the road with carpet

Stop with this overused meme
@@nutmeg9005 I mean, your reply is overused too. It's in every thread with a comment like that.
Found the Google Streetview image of this area that was patched here: t.ly/fuCP. Here are the coordinates: 33.208546, -87.634158. The Streetview imagery is dated Apr. 2019 and the patch is looking pretty much non-existent. Not sure the exact date of installation. Going by the video upload date (Sept 5, 2018) the patch would've lasted about 8 months tops.
It's a huge peice of duct tape, what did you think would happen...
Damn you’re good
lmao...ahahahahhaha
Looks like the adhesive left it’s marking lol.
