Mercedes is always surprising how they keep on setting new records for worst car sounds. The C63se sound like shit, because its a 4 zylinder and this s63 even has a V8 and sounds absolutly horrible from the inside because of the terrible speaker noise. Just a shame tbh

I know why they did it, if you drove any old or new s-class you will know that you barely hear anything from the engine/exhaust. Its sound insulation as much as possible, so in the end they had to playback fake sound because even with a more free exhaust setup you still would not hear it. I changed the OEM exhaust on my CL63 to a Primary Cat delete and Muffler delete and you could barely hear anything inside while it was outside 5x as loud (without exxegarating).

I don't care what people say about the pumped in sound or the weight and performance, I'm just so happy that this thing exists, especially with a V8

@@aymenshelby9664 As a former CL63 owner and now S550 Owner (since a week) i gotta say this is a downgrade in every form. The Design of the interior and exterior of the S-Coupe (have the facelift) is just PERFECT. Nothing that needs changing. Now they put screens and touchscreens everywhere so it looks like ass and they ruined the classiness.
Also the sound is completely wrong, i know its a inducted sound which is not from the engine itself, because the S-Class in general is heavily sound supressed, so you would hear not really much, but the sound it makes is not a V8 SOUND!. Sounds absolutely nothing like a V8 from the inside. How bad can you fuck up to put a v8 in probably the last MB car and ruin the sound by making it play some weird artificial sound that has nothing to do with a V8 signature... WTF!
@@DarkSession6208 i'm glad we share the same opinion, especially in the part when you mentioned screens, because they are childish and there is nothing classy about them, but i think now mercedes is aiming most for technology only which i dont give a sh!t about. and when it comes to the horrible sounding V8, well the only thing to blame is the fuçking regulations.
you can get rid off the sound but heres the thing about the power how consistent is it and you can run the same power with the pre model and that is a lot lighter tbh that would be an interesting race btw but this is the future lads I hope it will be worth it....

That’s why I would still go to Lexus or Acura if you want that reliability and build quality and still getting good luxury features.
I made a similar comment when this current generation of S class first came out. And now I cannot understand why it needed an 800hp drivetrain and launch control. It's truly horrific. They aren't even trying to blend performance with luxury anymore. Just like here, have a boy racer S class with limitless vulgarity.

That launch in the beginning makes one realize how heavy this thing is...I think the older S63 felt quicker despite having 190 hp less. Probably helps being...what, half a ton lighter?
Considering the new c63 weighs as much as a GLE this thing probably weighs A LOT

@@Pabla98 Yep. All that extra power/torque ends up negated by that massive weight gain, and as much as tires and suspension may be improved, mass is mass and at 2.6 tons, turning and stopping will be a greater challenge than 2 tons.

What do you mean barely quicker? The previous gen struggled to sprint to 100km/h in less than 4s. This new Generation is A LOT quicker even with the extra weight
It's only 0.4 sec faster 100-200 compared to a c63s v8, 802hp vs 510hp. Probably the slowest 800 hp car.

C63 is much much more lighter thats why ..different classes and car is very heavy
The pumped in sound for the 4.0L actually started with the first E63S that had the 4.0L. The only 4.0L AMG 63 that didn't have fake sound from the speakers was the pre-facelift W205 C63/S (that I was lucky enough to own for a few years) and the GTRs. If you're used to the C63 or GTR exhaust, the first time you drive a 4.0 E63S, CLS63, GT63 etc... and all that followed including the facelift W205 C63S the video game V8 sound weirds you out...especially since they sound nice from the outside. Anywho....
Can confirm. Had a pre-facelift C63 Coupe and now a pre-facelift GT C. No speakersound whatsoever and no GPF. Drove a GLE 63 recently and barely any exhaust sound on the inside.
@jonasjonaitis8571 I think it’s less pronounced in comfort mode but unless you pull the speaker fuses so nothing at all comes out of them…

Biggest disappointment ever made by Mercedes AMG.
Looks good, almost 2.8 tonnes, sounds awful, thanks for the electric staff, costs something like 260-280k euros, reliability is a mistery, at this tech and power, i guess it wont last long 😢
Why couldn't they just keep the classic 4.0V8 with 612HP or slightly more power like 650hp? Guess we will never know.

Amazing that this still has the V8 (although hybridized) but that sound from the inside is way too fake especially during the first launch. The second launch sounded much better. To me it sounds just as weird as the C63 S E-Performance but hey I can’t deny that this thing is crazy powerful.

As part of/is the first car manufacturer MB is, they should be an example of flexibility meaning to be able to clarify the difference between sportiness and GT 😤43 should be more focused on sportiness and 63 more on the GT side, otherwise they're losing their Soul nowadays, that sad the S63 is the sporty side of the S-Class... Jeremy Clarkson and Carl Benz surely know more about MB than they really do know themselves nowadays. Regulations and all are just a distraction, MB pay more attention to your fans and customers but most importantly your Character because numbers are sometimes just unnecessary(with regards to the C63).

If I want a quiet car, I would get a normal S class, but if I want to experience the sporty nature of one, I would get an AMG S63. So why is Mercedes-AMG pumping the sound thru speakers?? Just do with less sound deadening material so owners can enjoy the classic AMG sound track in its purest form. SMH........

Amg has been really messing up with their performance lately. All that 800hp just to be even slower 100-200 that the prev gen. And 0-60 in 3.5s. No wonder bmw has been topping recently. I’m really disappointed. I guess been an amg fan boy ain’t worth it no more.
Put it this way. If i hit the lottery tomorrow, i would definately give this car some thought. I actually like the noise addition, haha. The mood lighting has been offered for a while, i like that as well ❤

I understand such launch sound from speakers in the Skoda Octavia RS or other cheaper cars but in the S63 sounds really strange.
