That is so simple it's dang brilliant! I watched just 30 seconds of your clip, paused the video and went to grab my 1-row Irish melodeon and try it out. It certainly is way easier than my spastically trying to keep rhythm with a jig or reel, and I'm sure if I do this as a basic exercise for a week or two I'll be up to keeping it going on basic tunes.
