Bitch please, my family use to be so broke we couldn't even afford McDonald's. My dad had three failed restaurants and we were always in debt, and no we didn't run away from that shit, paid every penny back. I remember having to drink milk from the jug in our ghetto ass minivan and eating drumstick ice cream for dinner. Things has gotten better now even though my parents still owe money and I think it's amazing that I had this childhood considering how far we've come. I'll always have this story and I'll always remember where I came from. Only poor people understand the basic needs for survival and how precious it is to be able to afford something.

The few times I got happy meals were like the joy that came from my birthday, Easter and Christmas all combined, as a kid.
My boyfriend a few years ago came to stay with me for a bit and we went to McDonalds and I was STILL about to order 2 double cheeseburgers when he was like "don't you want more?" to which I just started hyperventilating. I'd never been to a restaurant before he took me to one either. I lost my shit at Applebees on our first date. 2 for 20 is a beautiful thing.
