I use an old bed sheet to soak it down. Works real well and fast and easy.

Good stuff ...I used it myself in a dip tank out of a 50 gallon storage bin. Cracked me up " don't tell I used up the vinegar". Good work.

Works well, but you do have to neutralize the vinegar with a water and baking soda solution immediately afterwards or you'll get flash rusting again. Nice job.

I use vinegar with salt added. I’ve made baths for parts in large tubs. Even added a bottle of lemon juice which is suppose to add some extra rust eating. Restoring a car where ya think old rusty bolts are gone come back to like new. Great stuff. 🤙🤙

Naval Jelly with a plastic sheet cover may get the rest of it off. I'm told may have to do it 3 times. Great video !!!!!!!!

I tried the white vinegar on a gas tank once, it got a lot of it, but also revealed pinholes. It did work!

Vinegar does impressive work as a cleaner. That hood looks really great. Little more work and it will be mint. Be safe and stay well.

Hey BW. I tried that on my Fargo and got a very stronge craving for some fish and chips 🐟🍟😊. That is looking good BW. I wouldnt drum sand that too much because you will get low stops and they will really show up when painted. What I did was put conditioner on the rust, then dody filed the bad spots and used high-build primer for the little pitting. Mine turned out good. But every job is different. Keep up the great videos Buddy.🍁👍👍

Hey Bryan, Great Low Cost Job - Well done!! As mentioned below by @billysbc118 and others here is that the Baking Soda solution is important to neutralise the microscopic vinegar residues in the grain of the steel. We normally use dilute phosphoric acid solution as it also converts the rust to Iron Phosphate and then follow up by 'passivating' with the Baking Soda solution and a plastic bristle brush with final rinse with lots of water. However I must say after seeing this that ordinary household vinegar cleans off rust way way better than I ever could have imagined!

Hood looks great BW. Good save on the hood. It is hard to believe that someone let it get that bad before you got it, those aren’t cheap hoods . Great video and stay warm. ✌️😎👍

That’s crazy, I’ve seen guys use it on rusty tools with great results but not body panels, wow!
