As an occasional VR player myself, yes all of this true. You can do interact and shoot at the same time. Perk decks give you health/armor/dodge whenever you "run". You get built-in damage resistance depending on how far the enemy is. You get all this and more for at what cost? Motion sickness, you getting targeted more than PC players, clunky controls, etc. Shit's fun tho, amazing how they could do VR in Diesel Engine of all things.

I've spent a lot time(600h in steamvr) in VR and pd2(800h) motion sickness is something that goes away after some time and controlls bit better on vr(with vr improvement mod installed) then mouse and keyboard. You simply can do more thing than regular pancake players , while having way way more fun.
Payday Vr is a very underrated concept, it was done so well in terms of keeping it fast paced, but also slow enough for the vr players to keep up, and although it does have some flaws like weapon recoil being removed (to balance) and the movement being janky (bad code), there are some mods that help with that to make it one of the most immersive vr experiences possible

As a VR player I can say this is 90% accurate... The 10% is that I play on DSOD so the enemies are ZEALS in my case. (also the fact I don't use akimbo deagles)

IMO It's actually easier in VR... if you want an idea I can't play above mayhem outside of VR though the fact I have 17k hours in steamVR might have something to do with that. In terms of build I generally run kingpin and try to make as much space as possible so I don't get overwhelmed.

They probably dont have the setting where they cant see your vr arms on, so all they see is a static body where you are just like another pc player (tl;dr, they think you are hacking because on their screen, they dont see your vr movements)

Man, I can't believe that Hitman 3's VR port is worse than Payday 2's of all things. Then again, the quality of the Payday 2 VR port must have been done by some coding god to get it to work as well as it does within the diesel engine.

Once spent 5 minutes watching a VR player try to jump into the escape crate at the end of Alesso. They seem incapable of even the most basic parkour and seem constrained to only tasks that can be performed whilst static.
The greatest part of VR is getting to rush up to a shield, phase your weapon through their garbage shield and then kill them without even needing a sniper rifle

its honestly 50/50 pros/cons. you cant interact and shoot, you can 'teleport' short ranges, and you can split fire between multiple sources with akimbo weapons... at the cost of sight range, precision control, and frame rate. is it worth it? hell fuckin yes, nothing gets the blood going faster than popping your gun in the air and watching a bank full of civs hit the floor in terror. if youre heisting in VR, loud is where its at. stealth is too fickle for it, and the fatigue is real when youre crouching and waiting for over 20 minutes in some cases.

As someone who did go bank on hard as being the only time I used vr, this is so true, able to dance and fuck about, millie rock a minigun, etc, my only downsides with it is it's set mostly up for teleport feature, which I know some may like, but i prefer a slide/run movement, which they give a option for, but unlike let's say h3, you cant do a arm swing up or press a button to jump, so you either A. Use teleport so it works fine, but trade being comfortable if your someone who prefers sliding or running movements Or B. Comfortable slide/run and kill cops, but dear god you need to hop up on a ledge or climb a ladder, the game wants you to press the analog stick to do it but you just slide up against the wall
i was once dominating a first world bank solo in vr. i dropped the piggy bank... and got stuck hanging off the outside of the crane, unable to teleport back into the boundaries

He's just not used to the controls. When you get used to the jumping system, you will be able to climb a huge number of surfaces faster than anyone
