It's very good to see more and more videos about the GX-100. Sometimes it seems to me that Boss has given up on it... Thanks for the effort to bring us more and more content about the device. It's a wonderful piece of gear, I'm in love with it.
Tian, I just picked up your vids in the last few weeks as I'm planning on getting my GX100 paperweight up and running. Finally have time to get back into my music. Thank you so much for your videos. I really appreciate the effort you put into educating all of us users. I look forward to watching the backlog of your offerings to guide me in my quest. Cheers!
That's awesome, I'm glad that my work is being utilised and appreciated, means a lot! Enjoy and feel free to comment if there's any specific content that you are looking for. Cheers T
@@tianjay Absolutely, I think this unit is really a gem and I love to tinker... Been watching other vids about other products, and it seems that the GX100 is the greatest for those who want to learn how the fu*& to use it. Enter your videos... I will have more questions and reach out. Thanks!
Tian, no words to express my gratitude for your videos. They are being extremely helpful to understand and explore the maximum we can with our gear. Thank you so much and well done for such quality content. Cheers😎👌👌👌
Thanks mate! Funnily enough, it’s actually been something that I’ve wanted to do videos on for awhile but over the years I’ve gradually gotten rid of all of my amps so I don’t actually have one to do the video with. I’m hoping to get my hands on one soon that I can use to demonstrate.
great video , but just one question ::: does this GX100 include the pedals Boss SL2 slicer n the boss SY1 synthesizer inside ?? I will appreciate someone reply me =)
I saw another UA-cam video of someone using the slicer, I know Boss recently released a new firmware update that added some new amps and effects. I don't have a GX100 yet, been researching about it.
I’m new to tube amps and the gx100. Should I hook up from mono straight to amp, or use the 4 cord method. I tried the 4 cord method using the effects loop, but then I can’t control anything on the amp itself when I do this. Also should I turn off any pre amps or amps on the gx100? It’s hard to find any info on this. Just trying to figure out the differences. Thanks
well, you need to decide whether you want to use the amp sounds in the amp, or the ones in the GX 100. Generally I would run the GX 100 directly into the FX return of an amp so that it bypasses the preamp of the amp and just uses it as a power amp. This way you can utilise the sounds and all the effects as intended from the GX 100 without having to use the four cable method. 4 cable method is more complicated because you will have to ensure that you have the effect chain set up correctly depending on which fx hit the amp before the preamp and those that are to be placed after. So to clarify, don’t connect to the front input of the amp, make sure it’s the effects return only.
@@tianjay I’d rather use my amp like I’m hooking up a pedal. So I’d use my amp and just add effects to it. Also do you not want to hook it up to the front input on the amp? Where would I hook it up to use my amp how I was describing it. Thanks again
Awesome stuff, Tian! Just trying to wrap my head around the Gx10, my first such effects unit. Thankfully your gx100 tips apply.
thanks Mark, hopefully I will get a GX10 soon so I can play around and do some videos with it.

Wow! That's really nice of you to say, I really appreciate your kind words!
Great videos, would be great to see an I/O video covering using this in an amp, PA and both simultaneously

That’d be great, looking to get one but I’m so used to having N amp on stage with me, not sure I could go full in ears yet
Hard to find info about how to setup and how to use the GX 100. Thanks for sharing. 🎸
