My wife and I have been ACLDN members for over a decade and have complete faith in their program. The gun grabbing Insurance Commissioner and Governor of Washington have driven out all the other self defense coverage that sold their product as insurance. ACLDN did not claim to provide "insurance" from the very start, but only a defense benefit to existing members if the advisory board believes that the member acted reasonably and lawfully in a self-defense incident. After a legal battle, the Ins. Commissioner allowed ACLDN to continue to provide for existing members in Washington but not allow new members. Thank God we were members. Without ACLDN, we would not have support that we can rely on if we are involved in a self-defense incident.
Every coverage company, and defense network should have a thorough video explaining who they are, and what they cover, and what they don't like this. Thank you Marty.
I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer. I have been thinking of getting CCW insurance or association protection for some time. I happen to live in a very liberal state when it comes to crime, and it's not 2A friendly. Twice within a 6 month time period I saw a local homeless individual, who is known to police and has over 40 arrests. The perp is known to be violent and has pulled a knife on many individuals; yet never is kept off the streets. Enough is enough, with the state I reside in consistently letting violent criminals out; I decided it was time to finally get some coverage/protection. I decided against insurance based ones, because they are regulated by insurance companies and have too much fine print (to possibly get out of covering its members). ACLDN met my needs at a price point, that was extremely reasonable. Additionally I trust the President of ACLDN, the board and employees to have my back. They are ALL well known and respected by Law Enforcement Trainers. With this inn mind ACLDN, was the only one for me.
I’m in Ca.. Similar to exact same here. I do my best to avoid, even leave possible conflict situations at public venues. Even though I am old now, my eyes, my past trainings, will never leave me. I’m glad I watched this video. I’m never too old to not be open to learning new information. I’ve not carried for four years due to medical issues. That and the fact I am no over confident combat shooter any longer. My skills sets have diminished over time. I under dress. I don’t wear nice things. I love watches, But only own one. I drive an old jeep around. No one cares, even eyes me. Its a six speed, makes it hard to steal. I don’t lock it. Cheap radio is all. But? Its sad we must live this way. I never in my 68 years here ever thought my community would evolve to this level of debauchery and decrepency our leaders have legislated to “We the People” We the People are Forever gone. I am also saddened in my heart. Thank You Gentlemen. Retired LEO.
Your video has saved me from making an ignorant and fatal mistake of choosing insurance coverage ...God bless you for you help and service to Freedom Lovers
Thank you, Mr. Hayes. Finding an honorable organization dedicated to protecting innocent citizens who had no choice but to stop malevolent evil that forced its way into our lives is essential for us whose only wish is to live peacefully.
Excellent presentation, Mr. Hayes. My wife and I are now in our 11th year as members. ACLDN is the most reasonable self-defense representation available. Thank you, sir!
I have been a member since you started. Never had to use the legal service. The educational materials are great and the board members you have are top notch. Thank you so much.
Education is the key. Materials are eye opening. The best time you will ever invest. It’s not what know but what you don’t know. The first thing to know is to stay anonymous. Remove all NRA and other decals. Be aware that a DA can use these decals against you. The last thing I want on my bumper is “Stop honking while I reload.” Thank you Marty and Gila
Hi Marty! Thanks for setting the record straight ad explaining the program. I've been a member for only a short time (since taking Mas' MAG-20 class last year) and decided ACLDN was best for me after very thoroughly reviewing all the others. As long as I'm alive, that membership will never expire. I sleep well at night with a firearm close by and an ACLDN member card in my wallet. Member # 35129 (and certified MAG Disciple...😇).
I hope to never have to use a firearm for self-defense of myself or others but know that, if I do, I will have some significant explaining to do in the aftermath. I decided to go with ACLDN a few years back after reading many of the on-line comparisons. Two points: 1) The training videos (pretty extensive and presented by very credible folks) and the printed reading material provided cover both the big and the subtle points related to self-defense - via the training I now understand more than I ever did what is a legitimate self-defense and what is not. The training will no doubt inform any actions I may have to take if it comes to it, and 2) I do believe that ACLDN will have my back as long as I do my part - act in a legitimate manner. No I wasn’t paid to submit this, just some unsolicited thoughts on what works for me.
Thank you for the video. Straight forward and clean description of the mechanics of how benefits work, without a lot of smoke blowing Marketing. I have a question: You stress benefits hinge on any legitimate act of SELF defense. What about in defense of someone else? A couple of real world scenarios come to mind: 1) The young man who shot down the Mall shooter, fired 10 times hit the active shooter 8 times. 2) The man who rendered aid to an officer in trouble off a freeway I think it was. Guy was on top of the cop, wrestling for the gun, and a guy walked over with his handgun and shot the man on top of the Officer who was (if I recall correctly) winning the fight getting control of the officer's gun. Thanks again, nice job on the video, it was very, very, helpful.
The ACLDN is probably your best bet if you can only have one network covering you. I would consider having more than company cover you if can afford it and the second association compliments or works in unison with the ACLDN's benefits.
Thanks Marty! Love all you guys do, Gila is always so quick to respond to my many issues and questions, is it your opinion that if a defendant doesn't have insurance and doesn't have the perverbial pot to piss in, they most likely won't get sued? I am an ACLDN member but I keep CCW Safe as a back up just because they have the million dollar civil damages payout benefit, been thinking about cutting them loose and saving some money.
Consider this. If you were a lawyer who makes his money suing people, and someone has no resources or insurance, how likely would you be to take the case?
What is interesting, is the high number of lawyer shows on Netflix and such. I recall how House of Cards affected me and my opinion of federal elected officals. Turns out the show was pretty damned spot on! Sad man.
Been with you since 2016. Hope I never need your help but am grateful that you have my 6. As for the dues I consider them an investment in my fellow law abiding citizens who may be involved in a self defense incident.
@@geralddeas2303 I think CCW Safe has red flag coverage and most the other things he said they don't do. Attorneys for Freedom will defend you in a sensitive place
Decision would be your attorney's. ACLDN and it's advisory board are here to help with your legal defense, including investigators and expert witnesses. Although we have nearly 500 affiliated attorneys, you are free to choose your own attorney.
What about a gun free zone. It’s hard to know whether or not you are committing that crime along with self defense (e.g. some states are making certain distances of a school)
Only thing I am worried about is say the state tries to tack ona charge like I was carrying in a gun free zone like near a bar or some stuff or violating a noise law. Would this potential criminal charge(s) be cause for grounds to deny a claim for benefits?
I’m a member hope I don’t need their services, but I read that if they think your guilty they won’t defend you. They will be looking for a way not to defend you and that’s scary 😟
What is "commission of a crime" if you get charged with trespassing because you didn't see a no guns allowed sign a crime? Does that mean you're disqualified? The membership is cheap enough that I might sign up anyway, but that disclaimer is a little worrisome. I do like that it's not hidden like most of the others.
Yes, I will re up but really don’t have much faith in any of these companies that are supposed to defend you. They’re looking for a way out and there’s nothing you can do if they decide they won’t help represent you. Sad reality 😐
@@jrexchandler1 Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I'm trying to ascertain what would disqualify you in the event of a self defense shooting. Would a simple charge like that, in addition to whatever else you face disqualify you? Would Elijah Dickens be helped if he caught a charge for stopping the mass shooter in the mall? I don't think politically motivated prosecutors that would prosecute someone on a clean shoot would stop with that, they're going to stretch as far as they can to pile charges on you. If that disqualifies you from benefits, I don't know how much of a help it would be.
So it appears that you do provide assistance in civil cases? One of the reasons I have not yet joined ACLDN is due to being under the impression that they do not provide assistance in civil cases.
I don't know, 4 million doesn't sound like much. 1 Kyle Rittenhouse case and you're bankrupt. More exclusions than even insurance backed programs too. All plans will boil down to someone approving the benefits to enact, it's just that the standard can be very subjective from company to company. What about civil defense? It is looking like Attorneys on Retainer seem to be the way to go. No insurance backing, you are a client of the firm for both criminal and civil defense.
Hi Marty. Does ACLDN cover non firearm related self defense instances? For instance, a mom in a car surrounded by a violent mob banging on her windows and trying to get in. Thanks.

Only In Washington State are we unable accept New Memberships. We currently fighting action from our Insurance Commissioner; awaiting a decision from WA Court of Appeals: armedcitizensnetwork.org/april-2022-presidents-message
With the recent incidents in Maine and both places being posted No Guns locations (Class D Crime in Maine), would ACLDN still provide coverage for otherwise lawful self-defense when an individual defends themselves in a "gun free" zone? Or is carrying in a prohibited place automatically prohibitive of receiving benefits even if the self-defense was otherwise lawful?
A great question. Marty Hayes will specifically address this in his monthly President's Message in our upcoming November 2023 Journal: armedcitizensnetwork.org/our-journal/2023-journals
