As a follower of Christ we must learn how to properly steward and handle our finances. How can you bless others and give when you do not have the money to do so?

Can someone at Hungry Generation help me find Pastor Vlad teaching on the Armor of God. I can't remember if this teaching was on Utube or podcast. I would like to listen to it.
    Thank you

It says, always put the Kingdom of God first. I try to do that in my finances. It all belongs to God, not only my tithe (and I am doing that, to be clear). However, as I am the steward of his resources, I sometimes wonder where the line might be drawn between giving God (ie his purposes: generously giving to Church and missions, following Gods principles by giving others) and keeping an eye on expenses and even saving (the world's wisdom on money is not always bad). What if you give so much that you can not afford paying your bills? Unfortunately, that has happened to me a couple of times and it actually uspet me (not the generous giving though. I always lovied to have enough to sincerely bless others or help out. It is that I sometimes just feel stupid for struggling at the end of the generous road because the situation doesn't look like me really living in the blessing of God, if you know what I mean). However, I believe, your resources are intertwined: Money, time, health, priorities, and so forth. I assume, one need to work on all areas as they influence each other... Thoughts on that are welcome.

I wouldn't know the answer to this personally. However I have heard many times all these preachers say you cannot out give God!! But I guess that is not true then if you gave everything and didnt have enough for yourself.

What about tithing and tithe going to those who ministers in the church.? Because they sacrifice their time and efforts for others blessings while others spend their time to make money for themselves..?

    Same wrong teaching on Tithing!

What is the right teaching on tithing?
If under law we don't murder, under grace we are empowered to not hate.
If under law we don't commit adultery, under grace we are empowered to not lust.
If under law we tithe, under grace we live stingy??? in light of Jesus' sacrifice and teaching on radical giving? I don't think so.
It's true that NT doesn't teach tithing as a law but it's a starting line for a disciple to develop a generous mindset toward God, church, missions and the poor.

Wow. I'm glad you are open, Pastor. I'm not used to Pastors engaging I open discussion.
I think that is a great thing.
Well, with regards to tithing, it was a prescription under the law in the Theocracy in the OT.
We do not have a Theocracy now, nor do we have anything near the kinda structure like OT Israel.
So Tithing need not be a point of focus, as we can see in the NT.
In the NT, Tithing is not an issue, GIVING is.
There are really no titles given to giving in the NT. Just encouragements to GIVE cheerfully.
I used to tithe for years, pastor.
The more I read the Scriptures, it seem more apparent to me that it was not necessary.
I just give, as Christians should, cheerfully, to the church & other people.

@@michaelndifor9891Michael, how should we give?? Is there a standard in the NT?? We believe God increases our living to increase our giving. We give like crazy because it is a reflection of our heart, but 10% is our starting point--we always give more!! Your thoughts???
