...and why does doing the exact same thing with my Gemini advanced work? It only sais it doesnt have acces my gmail when using the @gmail and adding the same prompt as in the video.

Can you speak to the privacy? I'm a Workspace user (paid) and have the paid ChatGPT. I went to try Gemini and noticed it said that all inputs would be used for training, so I abandoned ship.
To the best of my knowledge, Google is currently revising their privacy policies for Gemini and will offer a similar option (like ChatGPT) for paid Workspace users.
You are aware that OpenAI uses all inputs for training, too, right?

@@katasticoneyes that is the correct comment here. Team account is the desirable option if you use it for coding, company or private stuff. But this plan is a special one since it requires 2 accounts.

How do I use AI to move emails into folders based on content? (different than email folder rules to move based on sender .... for example, put all emails into a new folder having to do with the condo association about installation of a new fire alarm system?
While Gmail doesn't have a built-in AI feature for this specific task, here is a way to achieve your goal:
Advanced Search Filters
Precise Searching: Use Gmail's advanced search operators to get granular. For example, search with:
subject:(fire alarm OR installation) AND "condo association"
Create a Filter: Once you refine a search that pulls the relevant emails:
Click the three dots at the end of the search bar -> "Create filter with this search".
Select "Apply the label" and choose or create your "Fire Alarm" folder.
Click "Create filter". Also check the box to apply the filter to existing conversations.
Are extentions only availabe gor google business solutions? Ie, not for private (gemini Advanced) use?

@@Simpletivity its a shame that the things they claim should work doesn't work. Uskkg the @mail or any of the others only result in the answer that it can not access my Gmail etc due to privacy reasons.
Where is your region? In my country, there is no "Extension" option for me to turn on or off. I'm thinking about using VPN to be able to use extensions.
I am based in Canada, but this is planned to roll out to most other nations in the coming months.

I can use gemini in email but can't use it in google docs
@@conormartinai Do you mind sharing your settings? No matter what, Gemini tells me it can't access email. I have Botha personal "advanced" version, as well a a business one (but I think business is restricted at the moment).
Message I received from Gemini is that it is not supporting Workspace, only personal accounts.
Yes, it looks as though Google is rapidly revising their privacy policies so they can roll this out to all business accounts as well.

No, I'm not sure when this will be ready.
My suspicion is many don't have the option to connect to google workplace because they are making (or have made) this a pay to play subscription feature. At least it is for using it embedded with google workspace apps right now. I see many recent examples though of it working for others.

I'm a early release workspace user and this isn't working for me either. Workspace is still showing bard as the subscription service available in the admin panel.
Sorry, called Duet now in my admin panel. subscribing to Duet AI didn't turn on the gemini feature either.
In South Africa, we don't have extensions enabled yet....what's the work around?
Yes, the roll-out of this feature may take some time. As with other Google releases, they will often test our certain countries before releasing worldwide.
Tried to use @gmail prompt but it forces me to Not ONLY 🔸Smart features and personalization🔸 to be turned on But ALSO
🔸Smart features and personalization in other Google products 🔸 also must be Turned ON , with these explanation near them (Very frustrating) :

Extensions, including the Google Workspace extension, are currently not available to work or school accounts. Extensions for users with the Gemini for Google Workspace add-on will be available soon.
There's an important distinction to make with Gemini for Google Workspace availability. Let me clarify:
Base availability: Gemini's core features are indeed available to most Google Workspace accounts. Admins may need to enable it for their users.
Extensions: The extensions for Gemini mentioned in the video likely require the 'Gemini for Google Workspace' add-on subscription for work or school accounts. This is a fairly new product offering.
Rollout: Extensions for Gemini add-on subscribers are likely being rolled out in stages.
Did you notice something? This is an indirect consent to feed our data to the Gemini Language Model. This is something ChatGPT was not allowed to do. ChatGPT has been fed only by publicly accessible internet data.
Question: Is it a wise idea to get a few benefits in exchange for entire personal records, conversations, documents, and everything?
That's a big no for privacy. After reading the initial terms, the first thing you should do is turn off "Gemini Activity" and from that point, they will not allow you to use extensions. It stands to reason, if you leave activity on, then you link it to your google workspace, you are giving them permission into all of your data.

Did not work for me. I took a trial of google one, and google workspace, yesterday. Still when i login to gemini, advanced, and click settings, there is no extensions in the pane My gmail is in english and gemini in dutch but do not notice a setting to change the language. When i ask gemini how to change the language it gives me a link to a bitcoin marketplace. This software is more about emulated stupidity rather than intelligence
This currently ONLY works with gmail accounts.... Not Google Workspace accounts.
What's the point then?... No applications for pre sales, sales, marketing. No chat to text for gg meet call notes, crm) etc. Look alike it has a lot of potential but no business use case for now. Am I wrong?
The new Gemini branding has not yet been applied, but Duet AI is the same functionality for Workspace users.

If you have a workspace account that is not a one user gmail account then there are NO extensions possible.
True: Google Workspace accounts with multiple users have more limited options compared to individual Gmail accounts when it comes to Gemini AI extensions.
Reason: This is primarily due to security and privacy concerns within shared workspaces. Not all extensions might be safe for business-critical data.
