OMG I love thin hair yours is perfect. I was shocked at your look of disappointment when you took down the braids bc I like braid-outs like that instead of the big fluffy ones LOL. You have great hair.
Wow, THANK YOU!! No one ever compliments my hair for being thin! 💗😍 (you must have thick hair..?) 😊 When I took the initial braids down, I didn’t see as much of a wave as I had hoped for but that’s just my (distorted) view of my hair. 😏 Thank you so much Amber for making my day. 🥰🥰💕
How do you manage that? Do you try to cover/camouflage your crown? Or are you comfortable with it? My sides have the lowest density and though I am in the acceptance stage, I would be lying if I didn’t say that it’s still an eye sore for me from time to time.
Your hair is mine. I'm 3 yrs in. Still trying to get my edges back. It's thin in the top as well, but I love my sisterlocks. Best thing I have ever done for my hair. Just let it flow
I had low density in the top... I do large chunky braids I don't braid close to the scalp it gives me more volume and I don't pay any attention on my scalp as I braid my braid outs Loosely using a little moose and water for a good setting hold
Hi! We have the same type of silky hair, can you tell me which size (I mean the size of the square in the grid) your loctician choose to established your locks? Thank you, those locks are gorgeous
Thank you! My stylist followed the traditional SL method using a combination of parting sizes. Smaller parts in the perimeter, larger throughout the rest. You may be able to find the exact sizes with research. I’ve seen that info online for sure. I hope that helps!
Those are mini claw clips. Oddly enough, someone saw me using those and then recommended that I try (actual) hair weights. So I did…these are my new little besties, lol - ua-cam.com/video/Zh45LTqnbCA/v-deo.htmlsi=1IBEzS4K2dlnC55M
Tbh, I don’t really have edges anymore but the hair around my perimeter is where my density is at it’s lowest, so those locs are light and tiny. I also have a lot of gray hair along my perimeter, and since gray hair tends to grow outside of the loc my perimeter only looks neat when my hair is retightened. Do you have locs or are you thinking about getting them?
Thank you! I definitely don’t start my braids at the scalp though it may look like that on video. Tension is a hard no for me and I don’t recommend that for anyone. 😊
I think adding color is an act of playing with fire; some people can do it and get by with the slightest of damage while others do it and are scarred for life. When my journey began, I couldn’t WAIT to color my hair to cover my gray!! But then I changed as my hair changed and by the time I got the green light to use color, I refused! lol NOTHING can top my natural highlights! My hair is at it’s strongest in its most natural state and after coloring for the last 30 yrs, I can sit comfortably in my been there, done that era. So color is a hard no for me and I would never recommend it for anyone, especially for people with at-risk hair. Thank you for asking such an important question. 😊
Hi I am new to this and am getting microlocs in a couple of weeks. I do have low-density hair bordering on thin. Do you have to wait a certain length of time before you can do a braid out?
Hi Rhonda! I did not have to wait at all. But because everyone’s hair is different, I would check with my loctician since she will have the best idea as to what your hair will be able to stand once the journey begins! How exciting for you!! If you do get the green light, low tension at the scalp. 💕 But you may already be used to that. 😊
Hello I have low density hair as well I am 3 months in with my micro locs, was wondering do you use any kind of moisturizer or anything for for your scalp?
Whenever my scalp felt dry in the beginning, I would put grease on my scalp. Not a lot. Just enough to relieve that area. Because your locs haven’t locked yet, try to avoid using products that have the potential to loosen your hair.
Steam will plump them as well! It is a self love & acceptance journey❣️
omg, yesss thank you for this vidoe. Low density girls are here!
Yesss low density girls 4L!! 🥰😍

So pretty. I love it❤
you’re doing good. Your hair has more density in the crown area than mine. I’m working on mine. Been locked 5 years.
How do you manage that? Do you try to cover/camouflage your crown? Or are you comfortable with it? My sides have the lowest density and though I am in the acceptance stage, I would be lying if I didn’t say that it’s still an eye sore for me from time to time.
Thanks for the 360 view… it’s helpful.
You're welcome! I will be sure to turn around more! 😊
I love your vibe and your happy, positive energy. ❤

Spray with water, then platty.

Glad you liked it!! Thank you!
Thank you so much
You're most welcome😊
What are you using to hold the braiding together?
Those are mini claw clips. Oddly enough, someone saw me using those and then recommended that I try (actual) hair weights. So I did…these are my new little besties, lol - ua-cam.com/video/Zh45LTqnbCA/v-deo.htmlsi=1IBEzS4K2dlnC55M
How does your edges do with being so thin? Are they bigger around the perimeter?

I also have a lot of gray hair along my perimeter, and since gray hair tends to grow outside of the loc my perimeter only looks neat when my hair is retightened. Try not starting your braid out too close to your scalp.
Thank you! I definitely don’t start my braids at the scalp though it may look like that on video. Tension is a hard no for me and I don’t recommend that for anyone. 😊
What your thoughts on coloring your locs.
I think adding color is an act of playing with fire; some people can do it and get by with the slightest of damage while others do it and are scarred for life.

Who is your loctician?
Liked and subscribed‼️💪🏽🤎🥰😍💃🏽🔥
Thank you so much!!
Hi, How many locs do you have?
I have 300 and change. 😊
Hello I have low density hair as well I am 3 months in with my micro locs, was wondering do you use any kind of moisturizer or anything for for your scalp?

My hair is soft and is unraveling. Any suggestions?
I sure do have suggestions! Are you maintaining yourself or working with a loctician..?
