Good to see my campervan at the beginning, and my comments in the book. It was a lot better inside than I thought it would be, as there is not up to date information about. Shame I couldn't stop and meet you.
Cracking weekend bud. Well filmed anaw. Loving the bothy shots like. 😎😍👌 We'll go back in a few years and stay there. Take the bikes and bag the Graham. 😉
Nice one. I did the exact same route but added an in and out to Dorain aswell, doing all 5. That last pull up to the last Munro was an absolute killer. Brought back some great memories so thanks for sharing.
Hi there Robin. That looked a decent Bothy, very deceiving, much better on the inside than it looked from the outside. Loving the harmonica playing, very impressive. Cheers for sharing your adventure. All the best Dave
Good stuff lads , you're edging closer to your corbett completion now mate . Looked a guid wee bothy night , i'm overdue one myself ...nice one Robin ..cheers Stevie
Brilliant this, what a stunning place that is. Great craic, bait looked mint (cheap as chips lol). Nice to see the speedster stove on the go too. Great vid. Atb, Dave 👍
What?????? Was that a 6+ hour walk in????? That's crazy! Looked cosy AF once you got there though and loved the singing/dancing. Would have wanted to stay for 2 days if I had a a 6 + mile walk back lol 😂 great vid 😊
Nice one lads, enjoyed that. Super boggy hike to the bothy, but worth it for shelter and somewhere to have a nice fire after a day in the hills. Wrap's looked minging as always 😂😂 but the mac n' cheese with mash looked proper tasty. Great that a new bothy was built not far from the original one, after it was mysteriously burnt down - back in 2012 I think you wrote? I'd like to think it got struck by lightning and wasn't started by someone burning brooms and stuff 🙏🙏 atb DVS :)
Haha cheers Donna, but you know you want to try a mackerel wrap. 😜 The MBA reckon it was a lightening strike but the estate say it was hikers, no evidence of either. I never got to see the iron clad but apparently it was nice and preferred to the old stone one we stayed in.
Hi Robin Had a couple of cycle trips up StrathVaich to bag Beinn a Chaisteil and another to remote Carn Ban when I camped at Loch Sruban Mora. I posted a video of that back in 2020. Never visited the bothy did not fancy the bog trot to get there. Managed 200th Corbett Buidhe Bheinn at week end only 22 to go probably take me 5 years if ever😂😂 Keep up the great videos ATB
l always wanted to spend a night in a bothy in Scotland since l was a little kid. However, l am citizen of a country that requires Visa to enter Scotland. And it is very difficult to get a tourist Visa. So l will try to enjoy it with your Videos. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to see the places that we can not visit at the moment!
What a remote place and some effort walking out there after doing the Corbett. Great video as always, just makes me want to get back into the great outdoors even though I'm just home from two days in the hills. Cheers Jon
@@WalkWithWallace I saw Anne completed her 2nd full house, that's some achievement. Managed a couple of Corbetts out west, Braigh nan Uamhachan yesterday and Stob Coire a' Chearcaill this morning before the rain came on. Hoping to get out next weekend then I have a few busy weeks so probably no hills for a few weeks. Keep the video's coming enjoy watching and discovering different places.
@@Pommyjon1978 those Corbett names don't ring an immediate bell. 🤔 Hoping to get out myself next weekend too. Maybe down Glen Dessary. I need a lot down that way.
@@WalkWithWallace Braigh nan Uamhachan just east of Streap and Stob Coire a' Chearcaill over the other side of Loch Eil. Still have couple down Glen Dessary plus all in Knoydart 😭. Enjoy next weekend hopefully the weather improves, maybe get out for a walk sometime in the future.
@@WalkWithWallace I drew up a google map with all the Munros, Tops, Corbetts and Grahams on it and I check it before every trip... (yes, I am a bagging nerd).
A great video, albeit a somewhat abrupt ending. As for the title's claim, may I humbly suggest: Tarf Hotel / Oban / Faindouran / Maol Buidhe / Cruib ??!! Worthy contenders all IMHO!!! Also, I noticed a Zoleo on your shoulder. Did you ever do a review of that? I think you had an InReach at some point too; how do compare / prefer them? Regards, Wadirunner
Cheers mate, yeah I had an audio malfunction the next again day. The mic was facing the rear on the GoPro so my voice was muffled. 😔 It certainly makes a good debate around the bothy fire about the remotest bothy, Suppose it depends on how you measure it, by the way the crow flies from the nearest road or by the distance required to reach on foot, Glenbeg is certainly a contender, but you've played some aces there. 😁 I've not reviewed the Zoleo yet, but I feel I've had enough use out of it now to make a review, so it's on the growing list. Any questions about it in the meantime, fire away.
Ha ha. Aces high is the best poker hand. Yeah, sounds like it'd make for a great bothy fire chat. Could terrain toughness be added to that criteria list. The Zoleo is a possible Xmas present to myself, after a recent trip to Cruib, some sort of satellite communicator could be very useful. I'll look forward to your review. Cheers, Wadi.
The terrain definitely needs factored into the debate. 😁 Tbh the Zoleo and inReach pretty much do the exact same thing. I prefer the app with the Zoleo but it probably comes down to budget comparing their monthly plans against each other. Is Cruib on Jura? The only bothy I've not been to in your aces. 🃏 Lol
i'd bet those bottles were empty, once came across one shelter and someone had left half a bottle of Paddy's whiskey ~ it was a cold night! also like the idea of an on site journal, useful just in case someone runs into trouble or goes missing
Great place for a family holiday my wife and 5 kids could enjoy that cottage for a week 10 days. Got dads old shotgun fir hunting and his fishing gear. How far can I drive up to it ?
There’s the Bothy Bible, but that only covers Scottish Bothies and it proved a bit controversial as people felt he was making money off the back of a charity who maintains them and volunteers who have put a lot of time in to keep these places habitable. I imagine there will be bothies in Ireland, but not MBA .
Sorry, had a bit of an audio malfunction and my voice was muffled. 😔 The weather was a bit grim too. Keep an out for Kev's video, he continued filming after leaving the bothy.

I thought that was your van. 😁
Yeah, so close but yet so far but proves the Scottish Hills are a small place.

That looked a pretty remote bothy , looks like a great night was had after coming down off the hill . Loved the mist in the valley in the morning 📷👍
Yeah, it's nicely tucked away in a secluded area. The mist descended into rain by the time we left. 😂
Love bothy vids at the moment. Plus I love Scotland & Scottish people.
You’ve come to right place, two Edinburgh lads enjoying the bothy experience.

It’s a private track, you would have to walk or cycle.

Just wondering, what goes in the wrap at wrap o'clock?
You've got mackerel, tomato puree and Primula cheese. An acquired taste but we love them. 😋

Is it always cold, wet and windy in Scotland?
Haha, no I think we're just unlucky with the days we pick. The sun was shining all week then we head out and it's cold and miserable. 😂
has anyone anywhere thought of doing a decent book about the Bothies of Scotland, Wales and England? In fact are there any bothies in Ireland?
