- The National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS), held its 45th Annual Florida Winter Regional Judging event, January 17th through 20th, 2024, at the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida.
Unfortunately, this year's new venue did not attract as many C3 Corvettes as in years past, and on the only day I could attend, I saw only four C3s present for judging. I hope more showed up in the following two days.
I was glad to see that the swap meet is being given the importance it deserves and there were many vendors there, which adds another layer of fun to the event.
The car museum was closed the day I was there, and when I asked someone at the office if I could be allowed to go in for a few minutes to film a couple C3s they have in the collection, I was told no.
The weather was, thankfully, okay, considering the cars were outside and exposed to the elements. I'm not sure if that kept many from participating.
I wish they would consider moving the event to a place like the Equestrian Center in Ocala. They could fit all the cars in just one of the huge buildings which are also heated or air-conditioned, depending on the weather. Plus they are building a hotel in the complex.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video and hope that the next event will attract more C3 Corvettes.

Do you know why they moved the meet from Lakeland ?
No idea. But I think it was a bad choice.
I bet the judges miss those hangers at Lakeland airport to do their judging in.
@@MrWheat-oy2vm I’m sure the car owners miss the hangars as well. I got the impression that attendance was low, but I was there for the first day only. I was happy to see more swap meet vendors. I think they attract lots of traffic and it’s fun to look at new and old OEM parts. 😊👍🏻
