  • Talk about what the digestive system is and what it does. These podcasts are different from videos, they are designed to be listened to without looking at diagrams or text at the same time. This means you can listen, and hopefully understand while you are doing other things that do not require concentration, such as ironing, washing dishes, walking the dog or digging the garden. Do leave feedback to let me know what you think of the format, and how it works with UA-cam.

Being a medical interpreter, I've done some homework about digestive system. I am so happy to hear this explanation from an expert!

Hello Dr. John, I recently discovered you here. Quite late but I did. I am getting confident for my L3 fitness exams. Slowly but surely.
    Thanks loads for these.

I got a distinction on my level 3 access course to Nursing and Midwifery on human Physiology.
I'll be going to university in January to study adult Nursing and I was able to achieve this because of your videos and of course your books (I've got 3 of them). Thank you very much, your students are very lucky to have you!
Is there a way of getting in touch with you?

Dr. John Campbell is there any spinal cord present at the S2-S4 region? in my anatomy book they describe the parasympathetic pelvian nuclei at the S2-S4 region of the spinal cord that s why i am asking.

the spinal cord terminates at the level of about L2. The sacral nerves leave from the level of the upper thoracic vertebrae, and pass down the as nerves, as opposed to spinal cord, the nerves then exit as the sacral nerve roots.

Great podcast. Very useful to listen on the go.
One thing I've noticed : Your microphone picks up noise from breathing or sth. You may need a wind screen or to edit the noises out. It's a little distracting.
