I have some really bad feelings about the things that were found in this house. I work with the criminally insane, and soooooo many red flags were in this video! The amount of beds, all the tapes and animal harm pictures, the letters, and collages made me think of a stalker who may have become a murderer. This definitely may warrant some looking into by the authorities.
I totally agree 100%. All those things are homicidal tendencies.

I notice, in all the videos of this house that I’ve watched, where everyone enters, theres a space or rooms painted bright green and I always wondered if those were other bedrooms. The paint seems like the same brand of paint the pink girls’ rooms were painted with, and this is my first time seeing that pink room in the attic. I wonder if at one point, Gordons siblings families lived there at one point, and then moved on. I wonder how long he lived there as well as his parent as theres on bedroom in the living room/porch area that had elderly care stuff like the shower chair and assisted toilet. This family, especially Gordon, are definitely a mystery. Wonder if he has any living kin.
I agree with the comments about him being a crazed stalker. Obsessively building new rooms to house his "latest additions".
I'm going to make a waaaayy-out-there hypothesis: unless those newswomen or other local women/girls went missing, he probably just played out his obsessions in his mind. He built a separate room for each woman that he fantasized about capturing, and probably thought up elaborate scenarios about bringing them into his house. Maybe he fantasized about them moving in willingly to be part of a harem. He'd probably go to the rooms and talk, holding imaginary conversations, perhaps dressing up in the dresses and playing the roles, painting the dolls, probably touching himself inappropriately, etc.
As a devout Christian, he may have built separate rooms in an attempt to "wall off" or compartmentalize his "sinful desires". A means to deny it to himself.
The tortured animals represented either his struggle to obtain the women, or, when his fantasy was over he realized how frustrated he was that he couldn't carry out his wishes and he took it out on them in retribution.
Even if I am completely missing the mark, the place still seems weird and creepy.
Wish we could access all the info on the reels! I bet it’s an interesting story!

I love how Jake is actually smart and knowledgeable. Some of the urbex kids on YT will pass over the most interesting stuff because they don’t know anything. I watched one kid pick up an antler and say, “this wooden thing is weird,” then ignore the hand-painted wallpaper just to zoom in for the fifth time on cobwebs.
I agree with you, what is also bad is when they say what they think it is and it's not! Missing the good old stuff!

Why waste the police time and inform them you're trespassing when any adult then would be dead. Those are 1960 vacuum tube TVs not solid state 70s TVs, There is no evidence of anything weird, just a person cramming in tenants perhaps. Unless you think everybody in that house, all the kids, were murdered, eye witnesses would've spoke by now.

I have a real feeling that people suffered in that house. There are photos of mutilated animals all over the house, there are audio recordings of a mouse dying on sticky trap.. There are hundreds more audio cassettes and they’re recordings, not music.. Beside one of the collages of mutilated animals there is a Barbie doll with its private parts painted red as if they’re mutilated..
Serial Killers start off by killing and torturing animals, this is a well known fact. Then you can see what he’s done to the doll, it’s like a progression.
And why have a hidden little pink bedroom at the other end of the attic? It’s like he kept girls kidnapped.
I really think this guy killed people.
This video should be looked at by a clinical psychologist like professor Michael Stone or someone that studies serial killers.
You guys need to go back with a few audio/video players and spend the day looking through the tapes and stuff!

most of that stuff is definitely destroyed, Tapes and reels are really not that resilient to temperature and humidity changes. I would imagine some of it could be saved with some work but at this point would you really want to go through all of that?
@@MrJohnnyPappis Not only that, but reel-to-reel tape isn't just plug and play like cassettes. It requires the right device, and the right speed settings, etc. Most people wouldn't have any idea how to prepare for listening to them.

I've seen this house in other videos. The other ones weren't as trashed and decayed, but none of the other explorers found that secret room. That was creepy and seeing that along with those creepy pictures and that recording about a mouse stuck on sticky paper, well I would have taken a few of those reel to reels and found a way to listen to them. You never know. I always thought those pictures were creepy, but wow, that secret room and all those collages, plus tapes and stuff. I'd be freaked out and want to know, heck you might have to call the police. I'd go back for sure.

Film was 8 mm, not 9. But All of those reels, including the Realistic, were recording tape, not film. I have a tape player that will play those if you really want to find out what’s on them.

Maybe a mini cult with a punishment room lol That attic room was down right creepy. Wouldn’t be very easy to get into day to day but my biggest question is why would it be hidden like that???
my own family had two homes which held attics that were specifically kept from entry, in this way - one of those had matching panels for a nearly non visible doorway, built by my grandpa - the second had a seamed panel, but, there was painted insulation covering that one, for safety (we were told) as not even 2 or 3 children could budge the heavy sheathe.. so, a dangerous attic floor, stored glass, e.t.c. were in properly sealed, inaccessible areas - only teenagers & adults would be in position to unlock panels, move out boards, or break seals to enter what could become death traps to babies seeking adventures..!!

It looks like a foster care mill to me. Often people took in children who were wards of the court and were paid hundreds of dollars a month per child for their care. Some of these places had over 10 children and took the money meant for care of the child for themselves, while the children lived in horrible conditions with little food, clothing or personal hygiene. Anywhere they could find a place in their home to stick in another child, like a closet, meant hundreds of dollars more to them per month. To make it even worse, some of the foster parents were pedophiles and sexually molested the children. I also heard talk that some FPs were Satanists and used the children in sexual satanic rituals. It looks to me like there was something going with these people that was just not normal.
I have a friend who lived in a place that was like this until he couldn't take it anymore and ran away at 15. From what he said and what I have been told by others who were foster children, I am positive the same thing was going on here.
That seems the most likely explanation. Crazy guy was milking the system for several years, social services (or the Ontario equivalent) finally gets wise to it and shuts him down. They haul him off to jail, relocate the kids. If he's old then he might die in prison or be too infirm to return when his sentence is up, so the place just continues to sit abandoned.

I always enjoy watching your videos, but there was something about this one that was very unsettling and made me feel on edge throughout. I honestly don't think this was a family home, and if it was they were doing something pretty darn suspicious? Segregated bedrooms (Gender) and the amount of beds. What really disturbed me was the bedroom in the attic! I felt really claustrophobic just looking at it, I can't imagine actually ever sleeping in a room like that! Just a hunch but maybe someone was locked up in there if they had done something wrong? It does look like some sort of punishment room kinda thing to me idk. but great content as always, keep it up!! :D
those are not film reels, they are reel to reel audio tape, find someone with a player and i'm sure they tape is still audible... Maybe a Radio Shack!

TheNASCARJeff the best place to look for reel-to-reel players/recorders are thrift shops. They're fairly rugged, so one should still work even if it's 50+ years old

Those old back issues of The Christian Beacon struck a weird chord with me. My grandfather was a big fan of that newsletter, and the 20th Century Reformation Hour. It was a religious radio program hosted by firebrand preacher Carl McIntire, known to some as the founding father of the religious right. McIntire's whole enterprise collapsed into debt over the course of the '70s, '80s and '90s and he spent a lot of time on the radio begging for donations to stop bank foreclosure actions and the like. It's surreal seeing evidence of that in an exploration video...kind of chilling actually...
...But not as chilling as the photos of the female news anchors from various channels dating back to the '70s. I'm actually quite disturbed now.

The guy that lived there seemed like he may have been interesting but could have also been a legit serial killer. Some creepy vibes coming from this place with all the female news anchors and the mutilated animal photos. That's how most serial killers start is with harming or killing animals and being obsessed with something like the women.
I've been to some weird places but this house chilled me to the bone. I can't even imagine what kind of horrors might have taken place here. That's what's so awesome but so frustrating about exploring. When you find an intact gem like this, you can only assume what kind of things happened and what kind of weirdos lived there.

It’s odd that so many necessary items were left behind, such as beds and dressers. And personal items like scrapbooks and photos. I’ve moved many times, and I never so much as left a toothpick behind. Maybe they were getting new furniture so they abandoned the old stuff along with the house, but I still found it odd.

Is it going to come out that this man held women in his home after kidnapping them that would explain so much found in this house and this guy clearly needs help! He either got arrested or moved out of the country and that is why everything is left that is my theory! So weird the things found in this house! Also this house is so gross I never seen one look so bad even ones that have been empty for years!

This is very unsettling. The tape marked “found by road” or whatever in combination with the photos suggests he recorded animals suffering. Quite disturbing. Hope that at least the police could get hold of those tapes.

Some kids did another video and they brought a tape player. The mouse in the sticky trap was creepy. Was just the sound of a mouse trying to get free.... another tape had a nurse or caseworker visiting. Talking about checking on him every 3 yrs and then she asked about a wife and he said no but he did have a girlfriend once but she disappeared and then says "well, not really a girlfriend but a girl I liked but she didn't like me because she thought I was crazy."
So far the only info I can find is the "family plot" and it is just for his dad,mom and him. Dad died at the age of 74, mom at the age of 104 and it says nothing about James being dead yet. Just shows his birth yr. No info on any other siblings.
Also, his name wasn't Gordon. That was his middle name. He didnt like to use his first name.

This kind of sadistic animal abuse is always the first phase in the transformation of individuals into serial killers. They get satisfaction from having control over other lives, and will document it (as this person did in photos and on tape) to relive the thrill.
There is also a jarring obsession with female figures (on TV, in magazines, etc.) as well as the notion of femininity (pink rooms and furniture, the “Mom” message). Definitely a lot of unresolved issues from a very deranged subject.
What was on the other side of that mattress in that pink attic room? Another set of narrow stairs? Looks like there was an opening. When you first entered the house through the ''mud room'' at 1:15, there seemed to be a set of narrow stairs in there. The room was lit up so it's getting light from somewhere. I didn't see windows so there had to be stairs from a bedroom below. yeah, i went back and looked. At the 1;15 mark you see the back of the narrow stairs and the area where you access it is pink. That pink room was full of crap so i wonder if their was a door in front of stairs with a lock. Could be a punishment room or a private spank room for the boys. lol

For all the folks commenting saying foster home or foster kid mill.... Don't you think there would be a little more evidence of kids besides a couple of customized barbie dolls? Maybe a stitch or two of clothing, a toy, some childish drawings? Listening to the video recorded later in which Uncharted travel stays the night in this house, there are overlays of some of the taped audio recordings of 'Gordon', the former resident. He sounds a bit off, perhaps disturbed, and definitely developmentally disabled. People tend to forget developmentally disabled people aren't without sexual urges. I know a woman that ran a home for developmentally disabled adults and 'saltpeter' pills were administered to some of male clients that to quell their sexual urges, since their mental capacity was such it was required to help prevent them from acting on them physically.. I'd bet living alone, with little or no outside contact on a daily basis intensified his sexual yearnings allowing for his urges and fantasies to go unchecked and disturbed. I hope his urges and desires went no further than distubed fantasies. I didn't see all the pictures of the dead animals while the boys did, but I wonder if some weren't pictures of animals killed while hunting. Hunting to provide meat for the table was a lot more common years ago.
I wonder if the police have had a look at some of the contents of the house. There may very well be evidence there that could lead to closing some unsolved crimes. It wouldn't lead to a conviction, but maybe give some resolution to either a victim or even their family members if the case solved (I pray not!) were a murder.

I think a evil man lived there. Serial killer's start out by hurting animals and you seen all them pictures of dead animals. I wouldn't want even one item that come out of that house because it would have a negative energy that come along with it. Thank you for the video.

although many are saying that, too, it may be more true, in the aftermath.. if your return is correct (as others say it) then the 'probably man' is possibly off using any other vacated building - this makes sense to my reflections over all this talk about killer(s) homing, inside.. my neighbors reported witnessing lots of suspicious activity inside my house, during the first week of our absence & they noticed the walls torn out over the next week.. working overnight, a truck was packed with metal and wires, etc, but, nobody could see well because of their vantage point - one "somebody" even sold our fridge down the street & that person resold it back to us, but no suspects were named & no held prints stayed (or were gloved) - that man did not resemble any of our neighborhood, however.. during week three, squatters were spotted, with lights dancing up in the front attic & no vehicles.. that next morning, the front porch had fallen out
and instead of being questioned, those people were picked up by a red truck.. later that night, firefighters were called to the burning & gutted building, which had been accelerated with my stripper from the shed, was lost due to inability of the crew to control it.. in early hours, the engine finally pulled off & left burnt wood, old crap, glass, and plastic piles. the fire was so hot, it even destroyed a bunch of documents locked inside our supposedly "fireproof" safe; nightmare material, for trying to get anything that we needed to use for evidence - you're lucky to not ever go through such acts of vandalism & i won't view a v-logger whom actually removes goods or hits breakables - these guys pass muster, and for such integrity, they hold a star record status & go with safety in eyes of everyone whom has been a victim.. if few or no fouls are observed, then i will allow my own youngsters watch.!!

Here in the 🇺🇸 our public libraries carry projectors and you’d be able to view those reels. Those “ cassettes” with weird titles are older camcorder cassettes and those cameras are easily found very cheap at pawn shops or even thrift stores. Point? I too would love to see what’s on them dude! Maybe go there get the reels and cassettes and take them home to watch and record with your camera as you watch then boost your UA-cam channel by sharing one at a time between exploring videos..keeps us watching and wanting more! Lol but just a thought..but definitely take them back afterwards so you don’t get haunted over it. Omg! I think the girl missing from pictures was being held captive in the hidden room! ? See? You have to go record the reels n cassettes and SHARE with us as I’m certainly not the only curious..creepy place n things left behind. Thank you for sharing your spooky experience there.

The pictures of the mangled chickens look like the aftermath of dogs or foxes getting them. probably had a problem with foxes killing their chickens which leads to pictures of dead foxes.
And if you're a camera aficionado (there were no camera phones.... all that stuff was expensive!) you can bet your ass that if you killed something, be it a fox or a mouse in sticky tape, its going to get recorded.

My theory is that the house had been gone through before. Someone set up that attic scene to look creepy af on purpose. It's still odd this guy took pictures of dead animals and kept them but I doubt that had anything to do with the girl who was in there.

I like these kids videos, when they come across something creepy we know it's real because thats not the basis of there channel, with this house, i think he was some sort of psychopathic killer hiding behind religion, many did in those days, i wonder if there is an anchor woman missing in the surrounding areas while he lived in the house

Here is what I noticed:
1) He was obsessed with audio recordings. My young explorer, the big tape reals as your friend explained are like the cassette tapes but record much longer. I did not see any "films".
2) Someone liked to build things as a hobby. At 17:26 those are OLD TV and/or Radio tubes. Before things were "solid state" TV's and Radios had those tubes in them in the 60's.
3) The TV's in the house are very old. Those letters are post marked 1999 and so on. But that TV in the one room in like 1960's or older ! I don't think they had the money to buy modern things ?
4) I agree with all here. The photos of road kill is right out of a movie !!! This is wrong, wrong and all kinds of wrong.

Your friend might like to know that the Realistic brand at Radio Shack in Canada is much older. It went back to the mid 70's. I got Realistic walkie talkie for X-mas in 1976 (like the ones on Stranger Things); that show had little mistakes (those big walkies were from the 70's not the 80's).
And that Video Game book must be from around 1979. The photo on the front shows a clone of the game "Pong". The book you found was made before the Atari 2600 came out (1979).
So my opinion is this family is very religious. But the dad had a thing for his daughters. Perhaps that's why there's a hidden room in the Attic. The mother was probably just as bad with Gordon. He most likely had a few missing pieces. So she struck the Bible down on him. Perhaps too clingy. Gordon will go on to torture animals, sure sign that he's not right in the head. He clearly had a thing for news broadcast women on local networks. I think at some point his father went away, his mother died. Gordon didn't want to leave the home like the rest of his family. perhaps one of these siblings knew he had some mental problems and that's why he had a social worker. For whatever reason he was allowed to have free rein on the property so he would assemble these rooms most likely gathering grabbing discarded items. So he built rooms for his crushes, perhaps in hopes of one of them coming home with him. He may have murdered or raped most likely a female in the area. Perhaps if you look hard enough amongst all that trash you can find tapes of him with a victim. Maybe young Gordon witnessed his fathers despicable acts. Or maybe it's just some guy with a creepy house.

The pictures of the animals look like animal kills to me. When animals like cats or hawks eat a bird the bodies look like that. It's still creepy that he photographed it though.
Maybe the birds were livestock that were killed and the foxes and raccoons were killed for preying on them?
AND the fact that he kept those photos in a photo album.

Whoever lived here last definitely got off to mutilating small animals. Maybe sexually or it gave them a power trip. But doing it definitely gave them some kind of rush to the point they had to document their kills. All of the film reels are most likely recordings of them killing various animals that they made for their own enjoyment. Doubt they had a reason for doing it too. Some people are just ill in the head
If I had to guess on this whole ordeal its that the last person who lived here was one of the kids who inherited the house from their parents. They were most likely mentally ill and thats why the house is an utter disaster. One day it probably got too horrible for even the most insane person to live there so the person just left and didn't take anything with them. I doubt they had any extended family or friends so nobody probably knows what happened to them or that they left at all
