This house has a happy aura about it. Beautiful old rocking chair, I also saw a large embroidery ring in that room patterned prints on the chair nice video so please to see Carlo there, thank you.
Terry, the romance novel is from the 60-70s era.I have that one in my collection. And I'm sure both you n Carlo know I'd be very excited to have been here with y'all as I'm all about the books n magazines ❤️
Ty Terry for this adventure and glad you had Carlos with you. Those books and magazines, how sad they are sitting and deteriorating. Someone could start a small library with them. As always God bless you and stay safe.
What a great time capsule, and enjoyed your tour and narration. Its unfortunate that no pictures or letters were left to give you some clues as to who the previous owners were. Those books are an awesome find - wow! That cattle barn seems a good distance from the house - imagine heading out there to feed the livestock in 3ft of snow, combined with icy winds and drifts? Wonder anyone survived the WInters. Thanks for posting this.
Hi Terry👋What a cool house! Love all of those vintage items in that house, brings you back to the olden days. Such a shame that it is sitting left for nature to reclaim it. That house is rotting away pretty good. Thanks for the tour Terry, much love and stay blessed❤✌👍🙏🍁🍂🌻
Harlequin romance novels are from the 70s and 80s. I wish I didn't know about them, but unfortunately, my mother was addicted to them when I was growing up. She read 1 sometimes 2 of those cheesy things every single day. To say I (her only daughter) was emotionally neglected would be an understatement....😉
Yuk. Useless stuff. Never read one in my life. Nor did my Mom, but she did watch the soap operas. Would love to read through the old historic books found there though.
@@danadelaplante6797 Agreed. It's like the cheapest junk food you can ingest for the mind and my Mommy Dearest sat around all day reading one after another and ingesting copious amounts of junk food and RC Colas (when she wasn't watching Jimmy Swaggert on TV and being self righteous). Fun Times !! =D
11:00 I'd call that an abstract geometric print. 19:00 those appear to be old seed sorters, but I won't swear to it. You would spin your seed through them, and they would separate out the chaff. As to the books and magazines, we are book lovers and trail model builders, so those are extremely cool finds. If we weren't so far away, I'd find out who the owner of the property is, and buy every single book and magazine there. 🥰
You guys need to start carrying a pair of small clippers for the thorn bushes. Thankyou for another great video! Terry you also need to start wearing gloves!
Better than your average explore. Move in ready! 🤠 Even though its a child's book, I plan on seachin online for "Further adventures of the sugar creek gang" but only if it's free, wish me luck! Thanks Terry! 👍👍👍👍
I was curious about the Sugar Hill Gang book and found this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Creek_Gang I'm guessing that the door at the top of the steps was to conserve heat in the lower part of the house. I didn't see fireplaces so I'm not sure how the house was originally heated. The Victorians I've seen have a lot of doors to shut off individual rooms and conserve heat. Thanks Terry, as always a great explore!
hi Terry I had a look at the book Gigolo on my mobile phone in Australia and the woman on book cover looked very revealing I must say no wonder Carlo had big smile on his face
Most of those books are between 50-30 years old with a few exceptions. I found a medical journal that was published in 1796 in a garage once. THAT was an impressive find.
Those are old grain/wheat thrashers in the barn . It knocks the grain from the stock giving you the grain and straw. Some of them were animal operated. You tied a goat / sheep or dog to a tread walk and made them walk all day to operate it.
Rocking chairs became very popular in the early sixties because President John F. Kennedy had one that he used to help with his bad back. The ones in the living room look like they date to then.
Lol my thoughts , the kiddos read Christian books and well then you have the parents who liked a little spice . But any who .what a cool little house . 🏠 thank you for sharing
Kinda agree, just silly old fiction. If they were historic books or newspapers, may be. But more about the house itself would be interesting, still nice video they shared taking a step inside. Wonder the location of this old country home.

Yes really neat to step back in time. Thankful for the video he shared.
My dad was born in 1935. I have his original Sugar creek gang book. Well read and worn...
So cool.

How amazing was this place full of so many cool retro items!!! Manhunt West lol that was the best!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌎
I watch a lot of these type of videos, and I've noticed these old farm houses with METAL ROOFS always are in the best shape, structure wise.
Thanks for sharing
Those basement trap doors. Spooky thoughts occuring. Thanks for sharing this old house and someones past days there.

Wonderful time capsule!
Wow really cool 👍😎 find that I think was a very old 🏘️ house and modernized some years ago so sad that was probably someones dream house
Yes and out in the open country. I would have loved it.

They are still sold in stores. I used to be a book vendor. Look in Walmart.
@@ms.krueger2660 Yeah, no thanks. That was nowhere near the point I was making anyway.

Terry this house is sad that all this stuff is left behind and going to waste 😳 I can’t believe that no one is living here ❤️
TURQUOISE KITCHEN LOVE THAT COLOR!😍
Beautiful place so many treasures left behind I would love to have those rocking chairs !

Big property. Got some sad vibes from the house. I figured the basement would be flooded somehow. Very interesting explore Terry and Carlo.
Great video Terry 👍❤️😎

It would of been hard not to sit in one of those rockers and read
Pretty Kool find bro
That chair with the floral print in orange and yellow is typical of the 60s and 70s
hi Terry I had a look at the book Gigolo on my mobile phone in Australia and the woman on book cover looked very revealing I must say no wonder Carlo had big smile on his face
Harlan Quinn first public book started 1949 thou 1950,1960,1970,1980 to 2013
Most of those books are between 50-30 years old with a few exceptions. I found a medical journal that was published in 1796 in a garage once. THAT was an impressive find.
Hey Terry that is some really old grain mill and a shaker in the Barn
That book you found
Chris Harrison
also writes under the
name Lance Horner
these books are a series
of various books.
Sweet finde
A serious time capsule 😮😮😮

That stuff in barn could probably date that place for you
Reminded me of the movie Strange Brew Hah.
Harlequin romance novels were still around in the 80s

Wow
Sorry guys, would much rather see you talk about the style and interior of the house rather than scrounge through the discarded paperbacks. Bye.
Kinda agree, just silly old fiction. If they were historic books or newspapers, may be. But more about the house itself would be interesting, still nice video they shared taking a step inside. Wonder the location of this old country home.
Creepy, expect Leatherface to pop out of a closet in there.
Those Harley Quinn books
date the early 1960s my school
had them in the library.
Please don't demi the light can't see. Thank you .
Corn grain thrashers
Be wary of Deadites
Flys were dead. The good sign. This was a blessed house with love. No spirits there.
