I saw this pointed out on Tumblr but the story takes place on a Greek Island, Andi's full name is Cassandra, and she warns about the danger of Alpha but isn't listened to, her sister's name is Helen and she brings destruction to the island. Wasn’t the knife from the kitchen knife block dropped by Birdie when the camera panned to all of the suspects while Blanc stood over the body of the saucy Miss Brand?
Another thing about Birdie’s characterisation is that she was an influencer/model that threw a party where no one was wearing masks in the middle of lockdown. A couple days later the government of France announced that the Mona Lisa is safe and sound in storage in the basement of the Louvre. That, unbeknownst to even the French government, the curator of the Louvre had sent their most convincing replica. When questioned the curator simply replied _(dubbed English)_ "The Mona Lisa does not leave the Louvre for any reason, not on my watch, especially for some spoiled rich idiot's party. And this is exactly why."
Yet the real Mona Lisa is painted on a piece of wood but the one in the movie burns as if it were canvas so maybe it is meant to show that it was in fact a fake.
@@rylentertainment1103 That's a good observation, I know the Mona Lisa is painted on wood, but it was on canvas in the movie. There are multiple Mona Lisas, and the one in the movie had a sky that looked more blue than the one in the Louvre.
@@rylentertainment1103 100% agreed on both your and Mark P's points. I actually disagree a little with the mask thing on one character. I loved how they used masks in this movie to hint at characterization as well. Ben Blanc wears a simple but stylish polka dot one (which is fittting). Lionel is a scientist and his mask fits his face perfectly and securely. And yes, Birdie wears a fishnet one because she's vain and "it does nothing". But my impression with Clair was she is running for governor and is running around doing 15 things at once. Her mask is nude colored and stretched out, so it slides down from so much use. And of course, Helen when she sees Ben Blanc. She's a teacher who has been inside most of the pandemic and didn't need to go out. She has a paper mask because that's what she'd use for the 2 or 3 times she'd go out.
someone had a great analysis of claire's mask: that she, as a politician is incredibly concerned about her reputation (as we see in the movie) and that she has an idea of what she is "supposed" to look and act like as a public figure. she wears a mask, but it is ill fitting and keeps slipping down her face. her mask has adjustable straps, but she never uses them, so it gives the impression that she doesn't care and it is just for show.
I would like to point out Peg Birdie's social media manager wears a paper mask like Helen showing that she is the more responsible of the two characters.
I don't think Bautista's character was an incel. I'm pretty sure he actually was hooking up with Whiskey, even though she seemed increasingly tired of his bs and was probably going to leave him. However, his target demographic was definitely incels, with the idea being that he was presenting himself as the type of macho man incels want to be, even though he was actually stuck living in his mom's basement with a chick who was pretty but definitely not ride-or-die. And as horrible as he was enough of Bautista's lovability came through for me to at least pity him.
If you empower and rally incels, you get counted as one, regardless of your actual beliefs. If you do that and don't actually share their beliefs, that makes it even worse.
Incels are victims of a society that lets women get away with oversexualization and willingly being used as objects that charge money for dates and sex. Not being a part of a corrupt system where men can only lose is good. Inceldom is the key to a better society. Women don't deserve men.

I feel like there were a lot of Clue references. One of my favorite movies of all time! Even the way the actors images flipped over to reveal the next one just like in the Clue end credits. I think the director should direct the Clue reboot!
I'm inclined to think so. For such an old and likely well used guitar as Paul McCartney's would have been the one Miles played seemed to be in brand new condition. Especially when you consider Paul is a lefty. His guitar would have been worn to the point where you'd see the finish above the sound hole worn and scratched away since, being strung upside down to accommodate a left-handed player, the pick guard wouldn't protect the finish at all.
I watched Glass Onion yesterday with my family, and my dad mentioned that there was a subtle joke when everyone is having dinner. When Miles told Benoit to "pick your poison" referencing drinks but interrupted him, my dad mentioned that that might have been a joke to James Bond's signature drink, vodka martini, shaken, not stirred. Alas, it did not make it into the movie, although the absence of the joke could have been the joke itself. Am I reading too deep into this? Maybe.
How could you point out the ai / robot dogs and NOT mention how in the movie, their bags are brought to their rooms by a giant dog-type android or robot?
I think it proves that Miles buys things because they are supposed to be owned, not because he actually loves them. If he truly loved the Mona Lisa he wouldn't have even bought it to begin with. Most art lovers understand the need to protect art like that. And then he even explains how to destroy it to everyone in the first 10 minutes they arrive.
I think there's a possible read that he lied about the guitar (Paul McCartney plays left handed, so at minimum he'd have had to get the guitar retooled to be able to play it) and then did the ostentatious toss to show how rich he is on top of the lie.
The glass onion on the island reminded me of the building on Jeffrey Epstein’s island. There was also a line that made me think of the Bill Gates vaccine conspiracies. The Elon comparisons are many, but there were several inspirations.
Probably... but given that Miles traveled to see her on her birthday (necklace), how physically close they were the whole weekend, and the scene where she tries to get Duke a better job; it seems like it would be relevant that it was Whiskey's band that read "heart" (if I'm remembering correctly)
11:00 "except Duke that guy was an incel ..." I don't think you know what INCEl means, the guy literally had a girlfriend and obviously would have no trouble getting laid lol
Best case scenario, he's just incel adjacent... especially when you consider Whiskey is only with him because she thinks it will help her career (she tells Helen/Andi that when they're walking together) Without Miles propping up his show, where would Duke be?
A thing i think most people would have noticed, when she started smashing all of the glass artsy fartsy ornaments, why didn't it keep triggering the security on the Mona Lisa, that usually goes off if one came to hard! ??

Btw just curious, 2 loopholes, 1. Miles killed Andi right, so when Andi (Helen) arrived at the island, he already knew that she's not Andi. So all Helen's actings in front of Miles is just nonsense since he knows shes fake. 2. Also how did Andi gets a box when Miles killed her already? Anyone can answer those 2 loopholes? thanks
1. Technically miles may not have known 100% that she was dead. He did the bond villain thing of putting her into a situation where she would probably die, but not confirming it. I mean he probably suspected she was going to blackmail him or something like that but he could have bought that she somehow survived. 2. By sending Andi a box it would remove suspicion from him because why would he invite her to the island if he knew she couldn't come (cause she was dead). It's like the one borderline intelligent move he makes. But like barely
Miles pretty obviously doesn't check her vitals to make sure she's dead... we see him leaving her place in a rush (almost hits Duke) so that tracks Andi used to be invited to these events prior to the trial, which they say happened only months before. As the other comment said, sending that invitation throws off a lot of suspicion since it shows he was being cordial to Andi (so why would he kill her)
Ah the killer was unimaginative, that's very true - good reference! But the characters had far more depth in Cards on the Table. Man, I really love that one.
Did we miss any details that you caught?

Didn’t he say he was kidding about the guitar? The fact the he didn’t know or care that Paul is a lefty is another clue to his ignorance
How was a mesh mask “better” than no mask? One is mocking and the other is authentic.
That's not a pop-up knife that she's holding as she's walking onto the boat. That's a vape
Chives Out
Didn’t notice the fishnet mask. . . I saw the film twice lol
When Duke dies, the shot focuses on the orange peel falling out of his glass - an homage to Godfather.
Batista's appearance was not in season 1, it was in season 6
I came here just for this comment. Glad I’m not the only one who heard that. Thank you.
The writer did not want Glass onion with 'Knives out' in the title as he wanted it and 'Knives Out as stand alone films.
You're not alone if you missed the part in the movie where the screenwriters decided to write a competent script.
11:00 "except Duke that guy was an incel ..."
I don't think you know what INCEl means, the guy literally had a girlfriend and obviously would have no trouble getting laid lol
Best case scenario, he's just incel adjacent... especially when you consider Whiskey is only with him because she thinks it will help her career (she tells Helen/Andi that when they're walking together)
Without Miles propping up his show, where would Duke be?
I only just recently heard of the term "incel". I had to look it up.
here for this! narrator guy needs to look up popular insults before he uses them.
Jessica Henwick is also in the MCU as Colleen Wing
It doesn’t explain how Blanc got a hold of the KLEAR Crystal to give to Helen
Miles gave it to him earlier
Miles give it to him when he explaining it
No, the Boston dynamics dog robots weren’t designed for Amazon delivery and then used for the military, it’s the other way around obviously 🙄
No way man’s called a vape a pocket knife
A thing i think most people would have noticed, when she started smashing all of the glass artsy fartsy ornaments, why didn't it keep triggering the security on the Mona Lisa, that usually goes off if one came to hard! ??
I think it was triggered at the first smash then stayed up. It doesn't go down right away on its own
It triggered once and stayed closed lol.
It also didn’t trigger when Miles lit the torch right before that.
@@jessica.L.edwards The sound from the lighter probably wasn't loud enough and they were further away. Though I think everyone freaking out should have caused it to close.
It was triggered. She pressed down that override thing before she destroyed it
Well I'm missing out on the whole movie, BECAUSE IT HASN'T COME OUT YET
It's in theaters
It was in theaters for one week here...
@@marcibarnes5922 Ohh ok. Not in my country :(
Let’s talk about Whiskey 😈
He says it’s Paul McCartneys guitar but it’s a right handed guitar and Paul is left handed
Enjoyed it more than black panther 2
omg same
Definitely
Just to point out that in the latin american spanish dub, Benoit does say that he is no James Bond.
what i dont understand here is that all these videos about what we missed they dont talk about that Kanye West painting him as a king ....will someone care to explain please
Something you missed...its Miles Bron haha
This is the second non-Beatles movie to use a Beatles recording after they got the rights back to their music that I've seen, the first being Jojo Rabbit
I have watched it twice.
Thumbs up if you think it was Agatha all along
You mean Andi? Cuz I thought that, and was disappointed at the end when it wasn’t.
I was sure the whole time that she had taken Duke's gun! But who knows.
@@jessica.L.edwards it’s a mcu reference lol
It was a Master piece movie 🎥
5:35 I thought that was just Peg vaping. I’m not a vaper BTW so I could totally be wrong.
These are more like random facts that have little to do with the movie rather than things you missed
You missed peg aka marvels colleen wing of the defenders
Pop up knife? Thats clearly an e-cig
5:35 "pop up knife" oh that's not...
Isn’t Peg holding a vape? 5:37
Peg was holding a knife but in that scene it’s a vape
...sooo..I want my 14 minutes back...
I think Miles Brown is more Bill Gates than Elon Musk
I enjoyed the movie and all...but that was only 20 things, where's the other 5 you promised
You forgot the Kanye picture in the main room
I didn't know the meaning of Blackbird
Btw just curious, 2 loopholes,
Miles pretty obviously doesn't check her vitals to make sure she's dead... we see him leaving her place in a rush (almost hits Duke) so that tracks
Andi used to be invited to these events prior to the trial, which they say happened only months before. As the other comment said, sending that invitation throws off a lot of suspicion since it shows he was being cordial to Andi (so why would he kill her)
I assumed the boxes had been sent prior to Andi's murder.

Agatha Christie's Poirot - Cards on the Table
Ah the killer was unimaginative, that's very true - good reference! But the characters had far more depth in Cards on the Table. Man, I really love that one.
