wish you could make the full version available to other viewers around the world.
7:01 - sorry, but there's always been murder mysteries for like ever. US cinema's just coming 'round to it.
Ali is so professional yet personable that he can conduct a conversation and makes it his tea party with celebrity mates. The best!
🤓
the constant laugh so fake - speccy actor who never made it but is paid through the stealth tax tv licence
the bbc use it to bang young interns and go on trips all around the world they get billions of free money
imagine hbo got their money through a new tv licence tax in usa that's what they do in the uk
He interrupts the interview whenever he chimes in. Its pretty annoying
Truth he is the best. That is perfectly put.
@@MyEmptyChannel just curious have you ever had a conversation before
Daniel Craig would be a good Bond
To blond, how about Idris Elba
Ya think
I’ll see that bet, and raise you “D.Craig would make an exceptional M…someday.” 🎤⬇️
Henry Cavill
He was Bond for 17 years
Hell yes! We need Benoit Blanc in Only Murders in the Building, even if it's just a Hitchcock style cameo.
that show is good?
@@Samboleyful Yes.
They need to be set in the same universe. I need a Whodunnit Cinematic Universe
We don't, it's trash
@Time Sheet Only according to you. And one person's opinion doesn't matter when the majority enjoy it.
It’s so weird hearing Daniel Craig’s normal voice after watching these movies.
The accent is pretty great
So you haven't watch any of his bond films??
My guy you realize these movies aren’t what he’s best known for
@@andrewnaranjo6514 Well.. it should be now! He's made a very lasting and iconic impression to the public sphere as Benoit Blanc more than he ever did as James Bond.. not too mention he actually enjoys acting as him unlike JB..
@@momoducc3911 bro in no universe is this character more iconic than his role as Bond he played Bond 4 times and for like 15 years. He would need to make 2-3 more knifes out movies before I even consider that role above his Bond one
I thought I will never be able to imagine Daniel Craig out of James Bond shadow.
I was glad I was so wrong.
We need more of Benoit Blanc 👍🙏
Craig may be the expected handsome, debonair spy type, but he truly is a comedian at heart. Love him as Blanc!
He was good in Logan Lucky
@@iangreen4572 I’ll check it out, thanks!
You must be English, he seems nice and is very talented. But he is not remotely handsome 😆😆
@@biancacaputo7174 lol, nope, Us American born and bred. No, never thought of him as handsome. I said he was the expected handsome…as are most of the 007 types. The best 007, most handsome in my opinion was Sean Connery.
@@biancacaputo7174 that’s your opinion
Best line in Knives Out is, without a doubt, "What were the overheard words by the nazi child masturbating in the bathroom?" Can't compete with that
Good line...... But I think it gets beaten by Michael Shannon's "I will not eat one iota of shit!" 🤣🤣🤣
CSI:KFC?
Serve a muster mystery agglutination, see what the public liked: the bathroom shit
I literally hollered 😂 best line for sure
Nahhh it’s ransom u back again already,
No but actually best line is u are a good nurse
I get the strong feeling watching Daniel Craig interviews after having seen Glass Onion that he only wants to just be unleashed. Bond is so constrained. It's such an exercise in stoical subtlety. This dude wants to chew the fucking scenery. And, my god . . . when he does . . . it's so fantastic. He's superb from mannerisms, to costume (regarding which he collaborated heavily with the costume designer), to accent, to affectations and "business", to the blocking he got in this movie vs Knives Out. It's all so damn good, and I'm really happy that he now gets to work with a great partner in Rian Johnson and that we all get to reap the rewards of their efforts.
Yeah, that was my impression too -- "He's completely sick of playing James Bond."
Layer cake is good, in it he's good. Different than James bond, not as different as this though
Watch Logan Lucky, he’s fantastic as Joe Bangs
Get him in the Andor-side of Star Wars, immediately.
@@LetMeOutProductions I think he'd do better in the campier side personally given he shows a clear preference for over the top camp in his performance. A Benoit Blanc-style performance would be pretty out of place in Andor. It'd fit more in the main movies.
If Ali Plumb and Sean Evans from Hot Ones were to interview each other, the sheer awesomeness of their dialogue would form a black hole.
"Oh my god that's a great question"
LMFAOOO 😭
A black hole inside a donut hole
Ali and Sean evans are in a league of their own when it comes to interviewing celebs. Watching them light up and actually think about their responses without feeling awkward is super refreshing
Cant forget nardwuar with musicians
@@uhhRadL how could I forgot the 🐐nardwuar. I would say he’s different than these 2 in the sense that he’s on a different level when it comes to research and at times it makes his guests uncomfortable lmao.
*I never thought anyone would come close to my love for Hercule Poirot, but in just two movies, Benoit Blanc has done it!* I would happily watch 10 more movies with him all over the globe solving cases with that exaggerated Southern drawl. 🤗🤣😂🥰
How are you doing?
honestly this is a good sign. seeing fans of classic who-dunnit liking this movie :D
im reading murder on the orient express and i can only imagine Poirot as Daniel Craig hehe
@@wweep I hope you like it! After you've finished, PLEASE read *"The ABC Murders"* (also Agatha Christie). That one is wild and really tests the brain. 🤗🙌
"Good luck talking about a film you can't talk about", Ali Plumb what an absolute legend!
At the middle of the movie we started hoping they shoot a third one. This is how good the Knives Out movies are. We already were a fan of the first one… Second is amazing as well 10/10
Daniel Craig’s Southern Drawl is very charming and funny. It’s delightful and he can do an Italian-American Accent brilliantly with that SNL sketch on Long Island Medium.
How I know Daniel Craig is a good actor...
I don't see James bond, I see Daniel craig
Daniel Bond? James Craig?
@@cleverusername9369 Janiel Dond
I feel like if you can't see an actor as the character they play, and only see them as an actor playing a character , that makes them a bad actor.
Idk that doesn’t sound like a compliment. It’s like people saying how the rock is playing himself in every movie he plays in.
His actual personality (from the very few interviews I've seen) seems like a mix of bond and Benoit. And with each performance he's just exaggerating parts of himself.
"CSI, KFC" 😂 gets me every time
I hope one day Daniel Craig is remembered primarily as the man who played Benoit Blanc, who happened to briefly play Bond on the side. I think he has way more fun with it.
Doubt it. Connery had other massive roles like Indiana Jones dad, the rock, the hunt for red October, Highlander, the untouchables and Robin Hood but still was always known for Bond. I doubt Craig will be any different. Sucks too because outside of Bond he has some fantastic films. Layer cake comes to mind and it may actually be my favorite Daniel Craig film.
So he memorized a 7-8 page monologue???? Daniel, you're amazing! Props and respect, sir.
You realize all actors have to memorize their lines right?
He's theatre trained.
@@globesurfer122 They learn their lines for a scene but generally there are a lot of cuts so you can learn lines for each cut. It's rare for actors in film to memorize anything close to that at any one point in filming. Theatre actors are the ones who have to memorize entire plays, but I'm pretty sure that's where Craig from which explains it.
@@globesurfer122 , yes. But I've ner done it so it seems like a lot. 🙂
@@globesurfer122That is often not how film actors work. It's very much a theatre approach.
Ali, thank you for putting the idea of Benoit Blanc x ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Crossover.
Ali you are a gentlemen and by far the best interviewer the BBC has right now. I bet you'd be a joy to go for a pint with!
At 1:22 - I always loved Don Johnson's reaction to Benoit Blanc's name and how he mockingly repeats it. It's just perfect, like you instantly know everything about the character, how arrogant and smug but ignorant and uninformed he is (not even knowing one of the most famous detectives around), etc. And it's funny, it always makes me laugh, because his arrogant amusement at the name is so genuine.
Love this so much! As a person born, raised, and still abiding in the South, I love that Daniel had so much fun with it. (Although, I must say, in reference to Chris' character's line about it being "Kentucky-deep-fried"), I must disagree. With a name like Benoit Blanc, the man is *obviously* from New Orleans. 😉 Can't wait to see this!!
@@graysonhuggins1844 OMG. *YES!!* Come on producers and hook us up with this!
But that’s almost funnier to me because as southerners we can fully distinguish the different variations in southern accents, but Yankees are just like “pick a southern” (given, we do the same with other regions).
@@ashlynsmith7755 I hadn't thought of that, but you're right! "Pick a Southern" That's perfect! 🤣
Not necessarily New Orleans, but definitely a French Creole from southern Louisiana.
@@SubangelisI hadn't thought of narrowing it down even to French -Creole. Good ear!
I refuse to imagine Benoit Blanc with a subtle southern accent. Him talking like he in deep louisiana is perfect
Classic interviewing, as always... 😉
Anyone else think it's funny that the two Knives Out movies so far have each starred someone from Daniel Craig's Bond movies (Ana de Armas from No Time To Die and Dave Bautista from Spectre)?
I mean they were and still are very hot right now
@@RDSRELOADED especially Ana 😏
I can’t imagine Ali having a bad day at work!! Soo positive and enthusiastic for every interview
superb was a joy to watch good work my friend:D
He's a good interviewer, and you can tell after having to answer the same questions for movies for months and years it was a breath of fresh air to talk to someone who asks genuine questions and have a laugh and have banter with.
Daniel Craig should’ve gotten a freaking Oscar for Knives Out! Not only is he amazing in it he also looks like he’s having the time of his life.
Also he NEEDS to be in Only Murders In The Building. Benoit Blanc would PERFECTLY fit in that show.
Great acting but not quite oscar-worthy
@@tmoon9297 Brad Pitt got an Oscar for playing himself in that Tarantino movie.
Nah
If this is what comes out of Daniel Craig not being Bond, I'm all in.
Dude in the orange chair at 0:42 looks stunned at the performance/ conversation
Lakeith Stanfield?
Remarkable interview. Daniel Craig, such a talented actor and charming guest. And then the equally charming and marvelously witty Ali Plumb, delivering another entertaining and clever interview. Love these!💯💣💥🤙🏽👊🏽👌🏽👏🏽
Daniel Craig is iconic as Benoit blanc I hope he continues this role longer
Good news! Part of the original deal from Netflix _(a WHOPPING 450m$ deal)_ included at least 2 follow-ups - Glass Onion is the first, so there is at _least_ one other Knives Out movie with Craig as Blanc! Hopefully more!
This dude killed it in this movie!! Man awesome job
Benoit Blanc cameoing.... no, guest starring I am going to say, in Only Murders In The Building would be absolute bliss!! Please, someone... make it so!!
Ali is a great interviewer. Everyone seems to feel comfortable talking to him.
This was such a fun interview unlike other ones. Wouldnt have minded sitting longer
Maybe it’s because Captain America has been etched in our memory that it was nice to see him in a quirky Jumper not being a superhero.
You can't ignore Logan Lucky being an influence on that Benoit accent
Daniel's Foghorn Leghorn is spot on. 😁
I really like Blanc because of his absolute funny personality. He reminds me of my uncle who can talk about how making a good gravy is important to learn in life.
Can't wait for this tomorrow, shame the first isn't in Netflix
It is.
@Edward Vincent Laybourn Waller not in Canada
"It was a lot of lockdown craziness" should be the Glass Onion tagline 😃
Love Daniel Craig. Layer Cake sold me on his talent back then, Bond only made it clearer, and Benoit Blanc *sealed* the deal. Brilliant.
I think he enjoys being Blanc more than Bond
I think there's a lot more technical stuff to do in a Bond film than there is with this sort of thing. Lots more to be thinking about all the time.
Less gruelling action sequences, and more having fun with his insanely ridiculously yet funny accent
Hope we're getting at least 5 more of Benoit Blanc. Glass Onion really threw me off. The back story was awesome.
Love how relaxed Daniel is with an interviewer he likes. These are such fun.
Daniel Craig talking sweaters when he wore his Navy One in his last Bond movie - I want one! 😂
You might be able to get one from an army surplus place. Don't know what branch of the armed forces its from or if those shops would have stuff from the other branches, but you could have a look. 🙂
@@loonylaura85 Back in the day I had a wool German navy jumper that I loved (from a surplus store.) Unfortunately it got mixed with the wrong batch of laundry and subsequently might fit a prepubescent girl of nine. That broke my heart.
@@tarmaque 💔
N.peal made the actual sweater for that film, and I believe still sells it.
@@Lasciatemi_Guidare correct! Customised with extra bits around the elbows, but that is the one. They have nice stuff
Daniel and everyone were perfect in Glass Onion. One of my TOP 10 movies easily.
He seems much more relaxed and giggly since the Bond exit lol
Damn, i love his bright blue eyes!
That BBC Radio dude is the best interviewer I have ever seen! 😳
Shame you can’t see it in the cinema here in the UK (VERY limited release before heading to streaming).
Love that Rian put in the golden ratio meme in there at the beginning of Glass Onion
Amazing interview
Nice to see him get a meaty role. It’s amazing what can happen when typecasting is subverted.
Daniel Craig and Prince William both speak identical dialects of SSB. It’s almost uncanny.
It's amazing that Daniel's accent as Benoit Blanc is so cartoonish it's awesome and perfect.
Daniel Craig, the reason I rewatch all the James Bond movies, he’s the best !
Daniel Craig is a HOOT! His character in Logan Lucky is so damned hilarious and yet not unexpected. I watched the Knives Out movie last night on Netflix and giggled the entire duration.
Heh..
The fact this opens with "One," is more stupendous than most may realize 😎
Oh the Benoit Blanc cameo in OMITB would be gold!
First time hearing of Daniel Craig I was thinking that this dude is another way "to cool" action actor again. But these movies proofed me otherwise. He fits so perfect in genius funny roles and hes surfing on the mood these films have, like no other. Hope they are doing a third one!
My onl gripe in this entire interview is that Ali said One of Us Is Lying is new lol. It was topping teen YA novel lists my freshman or sophomore year of highschool and then adapted, but it was very popular pre-Knives Out!
Sir Daniel Craig is a very humble man from the way he speaks🎼🎵🎶🌹💙
It's always nice seeing gruff, hard-looking actors like Craig play rolls they can really have fun with being over the top and campy. It reminds me of Liam Neeson in Lego Movie.
Yo a cameo on murders in a building would be so littt
Why is it that I'm so disappointed that he didn't use Benoit Blanc accent on this interview. Was waiting for it till the end
Such an underrated actor
Saw it yesterday. Great movie. I get what he means when he says there's not many good movie scripts about. I used to be a comic book nerd as a kid and even I think there's too many of that about.
It was also a terrible script!
The interview I've been waiting for!
Ali Plumb is the new Bazza Norman. Love his interviews, like it's with mates rather than the boring interview circles the actors normally have to do.
I hope Wired do another accent breakdown with Erik Singer on this
I keep forgetting some people havent seen it yet. Was totally worth seeing in theatres
Its Daniel doing a Tom Hanks and I love it. 20 years ago it would have been Tom and Meg Ryan and others. You know it. Today its this and it fills me with joy to see it.
God I fucking love these movies. And it's an absolute joy to see Craig having such a blast as the character.
Daniel is Incredible and this file will be amazing
I watched the first Knives Out and was hard to see Benoit character after Bond, however, got through that and the film was excellent. When Glass Onion came out, I don't understand why the only character trait carried through was the accent, in the first film, he was calm, calculating and level headed, but in Glass Onion, he was so excitable and energised..... a complete contrast. This was also evident in the change of character in Bond in the last film - didn't seem like Bond at all. Still,.. all fabulous movies
Lots of real fun stuff to do in upstate NY on holiday but it's gonna be quaint town stuff.
He seems a lot more happy in interviews since quitting Bond
...Thank you for bringing that wodka ad to my attention... Loved Glass Onion & love this, thx
I too find myself anticipating the terminus of Gravity’s Rainbow
“Enter…Ali Plumb.”
Just 11? He went hard in this! Was absolutely fantastic 😍
I'm not tired to whatch Glass Onion, so great movie, over and over , just to watch at Daniel Craig, jajajajaja
"Benny, I hear what ..." the senior detective.
"Shh, shh, shhh" says the young detective, whose having so much fun!
Best dressed movie of the year. Like a 2022 style guide.
Ali is to notch as always
Daniel Craig Is one of my favorites...He cant dance but he tries. His southern accent gives me the giggles.
Ali you are creative and I love your interviews and how you respect other actors I suppose you speak another language I noticed
Amazing and funny film.
Spoilers:
Really enjoyed the plot point of mocking modern billionaires as incompetent, greedy, and destructive members of society.
That's not really a spoiler, it's what the trailer already showed us
Super excited 🤩💯
Until Secret Wars and Kang Dynasty comes out, I'm convinced every live action Marvel actor will make a reappearance in some way because of Mutliverse shlock.
as an aspiring actor one of my dreams is to be interviewed by ali plumb, thats when i know ive made it
A cameo in Only Murders In The Building! Yes please omg
I hope they do a prequel (midquel?) about the ballerina with the thing and the thing.
100% rumors for Doctor Strange... Daniel's smile says it all 😀🤣
I'm waiting for the day when Daniel gets an Oscar, because he is so excellent! He should have already got one with Bond...it's frustrating because he deserves it so much ! ❤
Only murders in the building crossover would be fantastic!!!!!
Daniel dancing brought me here
