Would the delete kit work with 2024 model?
No you would need the kit for the 2022-2024 Ram which requires a new ecm. Here is the link shrsl.com/4ke04
It's always great to see a Cummins the way it's supposed to be! Sounds great and I'm sure the owner will be super satisfied with the increased reliability and fuel mileage. I love that FCA is now sending out notices for the 67A recall for the PCM because of the fine against Cummins. I know most owners will absolutely be throwing that notice into the trash heap, where it belongs. Owners would be wise to never take their trucks back to the dealer at this point, because you know they'll perform that update while it's in for service and I'm sure it's really going to choke down the engine even more.
I love this body style. It looks like a brand new version of the early 3rd gen trucks (02-05)
@darkirondiesel You rock brother!!! Thanks for the video and content you put out
Super nice work Kyle! It sounds just like my 05 3rd gen with the 5inch exhaust. Really appreciate your knowledge and all your Cummins content!👍
Thank you!
Kyle, that truck sounds and looks amazing, great work 👍
Thank you 👊🏻
Once again I love your work..
Man my 2005 Cummins with 35” tires gets 28 mpg. If it had the 6spd auto or even that 8spd auto would be freaking awesome!!! Nice video.
Can’t wait for all my goodies to arrive!
Great info. Along with the installation video prior to this one. Thanks!
Thanks!
Pick up my 22 duramax tomorrow after its delete. I’m an old guy so I just got the 45hp upgrade that comes with the delete. But the have a tune that ties into the steering wheel buttons and shows on your dash screen.
2019 3500 6.7 HO, with Aisin trans. 44,000miles and guess what??? DEF Reservoir/Pump went out. $750 for parts and ??? for labor. "F" THAT! For under $2k - No more emissions repairs... Ever!
Awesome job my friend! 🤙
2021 6.7, guess what the engine light is on for @ 50k miles? Yeah.... thanks for sharing this and the how-to.
Emissions on a diesel truck should be illegal, periodt!
The truth is the epa and the federal government want diesels to be less efficient also they should be able to run on peanut oil like they were intended but they (the government) won’t get their road taxes
Exactly!!
The carbon footprint of refining gasoline is so much worse than diesel fuel. Diesel should be exempt just on that positive alone.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Emissions on a gasoline vehicle should be illegal
🔥🔥🔥🔥 AMERICA Kyle killing it as always loving the channel as always man I hit the diesel dudes up talked to cole dude is great and so very knowledgeable awesome stuff my dude.
Dope man! Thanks for the love
@darkirondiesel no problem brother appreciate you and your channel my dude.
Great video, I’m fairly certain that anytime you switch tunes the trans does a Relearn and you have to drive it nice
You are correct
Badass!! I got that exact truck gonna get my kit from those guys too 🤙🏽
Sweet man! Use my link if you can, I get a little commission
Sounds great man! How’s the weather out there! Ground still soft here in Nova Scotia
Thanks man, ya it’s very mild. No snow yet, freezing at night but hovering around 0 during the day. It’s crazy.
I have a 2015 4th gen with the 5 inch straight pipe, but it's a 6 speed, it sounds heavenly
I had a 15 Cummins w/6 speed tuned and deleted. It sounded amazing downshifting with the exhaust break on. I didn’t have to change my breaks until about 88K miles with downshifting myself.
@@jeremynoel3088 man I fucking love the exhaust brake lol sounds so goddam mean, I love it! Hoping for the same luck about not doing the brakes, trucks about to roll 70,000 and I’ve owned it since 48,000 and brakes looked good last oil change!
Mahalo for sharing! I have a 2019 and considering deleting it. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks Kyle, I have learned a lot just watching your videos. I had a problem like your 2022 with the limp mode and being over 2 thousand miles from home. I used diesel dudes and will be finishing up tomorrow hope all goes well. Dependability is what I am after.
Just keep it in a low tune and treat the truck nice and you should have very good reliability
Awesome you did the MPGs. Thanks 👍💪. About what my 08 gets cleaned up.
My 08 is at 13-14 😅 definitely need to get on deleting.
I did mine witch is a 2015 ram the 5inch sounds nice but I just did the delete pipe witch is the 4 inch straight pipe and it sound super similar but with my budget I just did the 4 inch delete pipe but I am super happy with it
Thanks for the excellent info
I deleted my '21 2500 using your other videos as guides. Thank You!!
It took me 3 days lol, but I'm old and I did it outside.
Glad it helped!
I’ve got a 21 2500 and considering a delete. Which exhaust did you get? I’m concerned about the “drone “ people talk about and definitely don’t want that when pulling the camper. Thanks
I'm not sure what happened, but I sent a long reply and it disappeared.
I used a 4" full exhaust with muffler. There is minimal cabin noise, and only under load.
Use the paddle shifter to find the sweet spot when you're towing and you're all set.
@@EnduroTrails71
@@EnduroTrails71notice he didn’t reply
@@EnduroTrails71I’ve got a 16 6.7 with Flo pro 5” straight pipe. Definitely has drone at certain rpm’s. wouldn’t suggest for pulling. Don’t get my wrong I love it and get tons of smiles per gallon. But I’d recommend 4” with a muffler
i enjoyed this video, subbed
Thanks buddy
Definitely want to see the 2022 Cummins just bought the kit for mine, should be getting it between December 8-15
Nice man! I’ll get a video as soon as possible
@@darkirondiesel I appreciate it! You earned a sub.
@@darkirondieselAre they still governed after you tune and delete them? I can’t get mine over 103mph just curious lol.
Welcome to the team. I swapped out my gauge cluster for a gas one so I didn't see the stupid DEF gauge anymore. You can make $ on the switch, Diesel clusters go for more.
But what about the tach? A gasser tach goes up to 8k, with a redline at 6k.
Also interested in this
@eddiewillers1 True. The tach works normally. Just a lot of unused space.
Thanks for changing the units for us Americans!!! WE APPRECIATE IT
No problem, Canadians are too polite to complain so this way I get no hate comments haha
Lol 🤣 Canadians have such nice attitudes! For the most part at least! They are all so chill! Also, I was just having fun saying what I said, because I don't care if someone doesn't change things so that "Us Americans" can understand them..
Good vid Kyle.
Thanks 👊🏻
Cool there able to tune it as well 👍 .Got my tuning from Raceme Canada on my 19 ram HO and there tuning is good too.after tuning I notice Def fluid guage says its full reading and still was able to tune it after the latest update after the dealer swap my cp4 to cp3 but you have to let them know if ur truck has latest software update .but be aware only raceme Canada is legit . The one from somewhere from Europe I've been hearing some negative things about them
I own a 2020 2500 6.7 mega cab. emissions deleted at 50k and stage 3 ats 68 rfe was required at 70k. i haul a 40 ft 5th wheel across the country and through the rockies those 20k miles on 100 hp 150 hp tune. save for the trans after the emeissions delete and tune its the next week point.
16k installed. its a whole other animal after. takes a bit for the trans to learn the shift pints even with the co pilot trans tune you cant tune. holds a gear longer up and down and has an amazing tow mode and exhaust brake thatll stop a train. headbolts..banks intake setup and 5 inch exhaust with ats stage 2 turbo are next. 600 hp or so with 1300 ft lbs right now.
Clean 🔥🔥
Keep em coming. Do you have a video for a 2018 cummins?
Coming next weekend! Turn on notifications so you don’t miss it 👊🏻
Awesome bro
Have you thought about using cetane booster to increase MPGs?
Also, great videos
Awesome video on installation. Just ordered my kit. Getting tired of seeing the limpmode pop up. Just went with the delete pipe intead of the full 5" pipe. Also with muffler.
That will work just fine!
How much does the 4" delete pipe with muffler quiet the truck down ?? I need to keep mine as quiet as possible.
I just tuned my 07 6.7, totally different truck.
At some point I’ll be doing this to my 21 L5P.
GM locked ecm’s after 2017. So you’ll need an unlocked ecm or an HP unlock kit. I got my kit from Unlimited Performance
I just looked into Diesel Dudes delete kit for my 24 F250. They're kit without stainless piping, without a tip and just downpipe back was pretty much $4500.
The same kit at Elite Diesel WITH a full stainless exhaust turbo back and a 7" tip, same tuner, same EGR delete with bypass was $3800.
Don't get ripped off peeps!
Hey looks and sounds great.
Thanks man
Can you please do a video on deleting a 2023 LZ0 3.0L Duramax? Or is it possible yet?
love the videos... hows the drone with a full 5 in pipe? I have a g56 with a 5in and 30 in resonator. Thinking of just going full straight pipeski
A lot of drone around 1800-2200 rpm
Yeah buddy 👍🏼
Ppei has transmission tuning available for the aisin now. I installed it on my 3500 ho 2 weeks ago.
Emissions on or off tuning?
What’s the most fuel efficient tune for a Cummins?
Do a 2021+ 6.7 power stroke next!
I’ll get one in the shop
Going through the different tunes on the SOTF, should you let the aisin trasnmission re learn/ adjust for a while as well or can you freely change between tunes and get into power without hurting anything?
Always better to let it relearn a bit but most guys don’t. The main thing is ease into the throttle, never punch it wide open, that’s a tranny killer
I think you said you had a 2019. Did you do anything with the CP4? I am thinking about a CP3 upgrade, and I am trying to find out information about the S&S CP3 conversion but am unsure what exactly has to be tuned once swapped. Any thoughts? Love your brevity and tech know how.
This is why I stayed with a 2001. (55 block.) NO egr, no bullshit. But my truck also has dual 4 inch stacks outta the bed and she's MINTY. Had 180k miles on her when I bought her.
Sick truck. You ever gonna turbo swap? I did it to my 2012 3500 and it's fun.
I have a 2016 ram 3500 dually what should it cost for a new turbo and a full delete 4” exhaust no muffler. I’m in the lower 48. Love your channel thanks.
Didn't know you could legally delete these engines! I would love to do it
We aren't beyond that, we just don't admit it. 💨
You’re looking good 😉
I try
Have you done a delete with the muffler option? If so how much quieter? I don't like the drone with the straight exhuast
I did that to mine but I might have to put a muffler on mine. With the camper or tractor as a load it can get a little loud
Thanks so much for posting this video! Just picked up the kit for a 2017 3500 DRW LB but unfortunately I have the 3.42 rear end so I'm nervous about the transmission holding up. 100k miles on the truck pre-surgery. At 10:20 you start discussing the "easy rolling" into passing a vehicle. Is this basically all I can do to keep my transmission for as long as possible or are there other things I might be able to do to protect it? I do know the previous owner and he babied it as well (stock daily driver, 5k oil changes etc). I'm a feather foot myself and just want fuel economy and reliability out of this kit. Besides how can I best protect or baby the tranny question...with the EZ link what is my best tune going to be for hauling 5k lbs in the bed around flat lands and through mountains? It's a Lance 1172 slide-in truck bed camper and she is a big beast. On my order, Unfortuantely I did not receive my 4" muffler that I ordered...just two 4" straight pipe sections so I have to call TDD on Monday.
very nice!!!!!!!
Thanks man 👊🏻
Hey Kyle. My gdp instructions show the purple wire in the middle. Did your wire orientation work. My switch doesn't feel like its working
Crazy how quiet it is for having a 5” straight pipe
Ya not bad until you open it up or the exhaust brake kicks in with the high idle
You have the stock downpipe? A 5 inch turboback is a lot louder
I had one of these trucks and I had a terrible time after egr deleted And Race me tuners It was way more powerful, but seem to have computer problems all the time and I took it to every mechanic in town and they all said it was a computer replace the computer 1500$ and two months later same problem. Just buy a 5.9 it will save you a lot of money
Kyle, thanks for all the info. I’m running a 2017 6.7 in Ontario and just had my first DEF service scare. Cured with a recall software update. I’m after reliability only. I tow a 35ft boat twice a year and my Harley trailer down south in the winter. Empty the rest of the time. I’m running 37’s so I didn’t lift and mod the truck to worry about MPG, don’t care about that. So my question’s are…will full delete affect my trucks overall reliability? Is there a kit that leaves it “looking stock”? Is there a Diesel shop in Southern Ontario that you recommend to do the delete mod for me? I could do it but I’m semi retired and lazy now. Once again thanks for your time.
I would delete personally in Canada unless you are willing to freeze every morning. The EGR only runs when the engine is below 60c you shouldn't bring your rpm over 2k until your engine is over 60c. The delete doesn't really add power. The tune does that and it does lessen the exhaust back Pressure removing the scr however the new emission systems have there flaws worked out pretty well so they don't really restrict it that much.
Then the other issue is if you have a 2500 which has the 68rfe the worst tranny in existence then you are asking for trouble by upping the power if that was your concern a 3500 high output is the truck you want. Personally I think 800ftlb is a ton of torque. Pulled my 40 foot long destination unit from Ottawa to northern Alberta with no problems
What do you think about deleting a 2020 International MV 607SBA 6.7ISB WITH VGT. its a Nexus 35 ft RV build.
I call it RED tune... reliability, efficiency, and durability that's all you need.
Dang on tune 5 i would want headstuds to prevent issues
Ya definitely not a bad idea
Question : I have deleted my 2021 the same, but curious about the pedal monster? I haven't thought about the throttle response as being an issue, but from.what I've read, these things make a night and day difference. Have you used these, and would you recommend?
Pedal monster is what it sounds like it’a monster , the throttle response is like if it’s deleted and it has various settings
@@juliovalencia256 yeah, I've heard good things. I just wasn't sure if it's a valuable upgrade to a truck that's already deleted. Would you say it's worth it?
My 21 is deleted with the trans tune. I was told my 86RFE won’t hold together very long with hard pulls. Any thoughts??
I have a 2014 with some parts that fell off. My Exhaust brake hast worked since I bought the truck with all the work already done. Is there a trick to make it work or did they tune that feature out maybe? Thanks man
You must have gotten the vgt delete tune
I been thinking about getting a 2023 6.7 powerstroke and I was wondering if u have deleted available yet? I won’t buy one till I can delete lol. And no I’m not the epa I have a 2016 f350 but I’m gonna keep that truck and maybe a 2023 but I can’t do that emissions crap
I think you can do the 2023 but you have to get an ecm out of a 2021
So if I have an 07 6.7 Cummins, I’d I’ve to drive it kinda easy if I switch from an Eco tune to performance or race tune to let the transmission remap??
What are your shift points after deleting? To me after deleting it seems to shift early unless I make it run up to 2,000 ish RPMs. At lower speeds it’s still trying to get into 6th gear as fast as it can without (to me) the appropriate RPMs. It seems like it’s shifting passed off speed and not RPMs. Would another relearn help and just start and stop as much as possible and try to keep it at lower speeds? Thanks for the help
I’m lucky to get 11 out of my truck on the highway 😂
Looking for some 3rd gen ecodiesel love if it exist.
So I'm definitely thinking about deleting my 2020 Ram 2500 this coming Monday due to the Def service See Dealer light coming up twice on me while on a family road trip off the grid, definitely not cool
Will deleting avoid the truck going into limp, thanks in advance
Lots of good advice brother
Yes and even if the truck goes in limp mode as soon as you tune it with this tuner it will erase the codes and take it out of limp mode.
Do you have a vibration that feels like the rear end ? I have a 22 mega and i have a vibration at highway speeds.
I have a 22 and also have that same vibration.
have you done a trans tune on this yet?
Yeah i had a brand new def pump take a dump and my exhaust brake turbo ate crap at 120,000 km
Have you ever had to revert back to stock program after a failed upgrade? (assuming there has been a failed upgrade)?
It’s rare but it does happen.
Sounds mean 💪🏻💪🏻👍👍
Oh ya
is it worth deleting your truck when new an void warranty or wait till truck is passed a certain milage like 50k km or more ?
I'm sorry, new to deleting here, but can the EPA get you for this? I want to modify my f250 but i worry that i'll somehow end up screwed for wanting to improve my '05
Do I need trans works or head studs when using more hp??
What tunes are you running on this truck?
How are the tunes from them? Do they work pretty decent? Thinking about getting them. Do they do trans tuning?
Tunes are great, and yes If you have the 68rfe it comes with trans tuning.
Hello how is the trans shifting is the truck shift flareing?
I have the exact truck. How much do u charge for this kit installed. And where are u located. I’m from Ontario
Here for that too
I’m looking at a 5th gen 3500 single wheel but not sure which transmission. Will the aisen trans ever be tune able ?
Yes I think In the future it will be tuneable.
I previously had a 5th gen gasser 2500 Loved that truck, as it was a daily driver. Mostly city type driving with occasional highway. I have been thinking about getting back into a 5th gen Ram 2500, but was looking at these diesels because they can be had used for a decent price. Obviously a full delete is the way to go, but does the delete make the truck a bit more reliable of a daily, non highway, little towing driver?
Ya I would say the delete makes them more reliable as long as you don’t install a really high hp tune and bag drive it
@@darkirondiesel I definitely would be doing any high HP tune, etc.. Only reason I would want to diesel over the gasser is fuel economy and longevity. I have just always read that doing shorter drives without many long highway driving hurts the diesel engine. But then again, I dont think we talking deleted and tuned trucks. So I was curious if that was more the fault of the emissions trash systems that are on the trucks
Where can I find delete kit and tune for Ram 2023 Ecodiesel ?
Have you ever or know anyone that has done a delete on a Chevy express van engine code LGH?
I have a 21 Mega cab dually. I can’t get over 16mpg to save my life. And I get 10-11mpg towing. Don’t really matter the weight.
I want to delete for fuel mileage mostly. But also, my truck gave me a “service def” at 30k miles in the middle of a long distance tow… seems the emission systems on these rigs are the weakest link.
I would definitely add a free-flowing muffler mainly because I'm not a 14-year-old boy who thinks that I sound cool when I make noise
Is there a way with the ez lynk instead of having the def gauge empty you can have it read full?
You would have to contact the tuning company (in this case GDP) and ask if they can write you new tunes that make it read full instead of empty. They should be able to as far as I know.
There is not. I have the same truck with the same kit. I asked there tech line that question.
It would be nice if the def gauge showed what position the switch was on. Empty for 1, 1/4 for 2, etc...
The Tunes on the Raceme Ultra has the DEF gage read full.
do you need to put in head studs with those years? an can you just remove an replace one at a time?
You don’t have to but head studs are always a good idea. For the 4th gens you can replace them one at a time starting from the middle and working your way towards the outsides. I’d assume the 5th gens would be the same, but I personally haven’t done one yet.
@@darkirondiesel The diesel shop I went to, for a very similar set up on my 2018 2500 4x4 stick-shift, told me to not use #4 or 5 on the SOTF switch until I had the head-studs replaced.
What about All the fines impounds and expenses to put it back stock?
Don’t do it if you live in an area where it’s illegal and that does emission testing
How can you tell what power level you are on from your phone? I’m not sure if my SOTF switch is working
Do a pull in 1 and then do another pull in 5 you should feel a difference
Im in the Virden area where you at?
