It's always great to see a Cummins the way it's supposed to be! Sounds great and I'm sure the owner will be super satisfied with the increased reliability and fuel mileage. I love that FCA is now sending out notices for the 67A recall for the PCM because of the fine against Cummins. I know most owners will absolutely be throwing that notice into the trash heap, where it belongs. Owners would be wise to never take their trucks back to the dealer at this point, because you know they'll perform that update while it's in for service and I'm sure it's really going to choke down the engine even more.

On my order, Unfortuantely I did not receive my 4" muffler that I ordered...just two 4" straight pipe sections so I have to call TDD on Monday.
Deleted trucks (light duty especially) are generally way more efficient, run better, tow better, last longer and do it all while making more power. It’s a shame how frowned up deleting a truck is. The sound alone from an uncorked Cummins is worth it, she sounds like a pissed off tractor.
the tuning on that doesn't take care of def guage/warning light? i just deleted my 19 cummins with the kit from dirty diesel customs. i just did the single tune on the efi live tuner rather than the multiple with selector knob but the tune has my def level at 100% so no dash lights on. having that on would drive ne nuts lol
Yeah you could but once you program the truck with the ez lynk you probably won’t want the pedal commander anyways because the ez lynk tunes will increase throttle sensitivity.
So definitely not for MPG. Highway 70mph I get about 19.4mpg and that’s a dually HO. Combined I get about 18’s. Heavy towing I get mid 15’s. I will do this but only if something breaks and I’m out of warranty in 38k miles.
I have the same truck….and wanted to delete it (as mpg are main concern). My mileage is as good or better than your results, not sure why but may hold off for now. As for sound…I could care less what others hear or think.
Where I live most people delete to increase reliability. It’s pretty typical to have a emission system component fail every winter, with lengthy downtimes. Hell, the dealerships where I live tell the customers to just delete their trucks.
@@darkirondiesel prior to the 2019 ram , I had a 2009 which was awesome, no freaking def, more reliable, better mileage and even though they SAY the 2019 has more torch….bs! I Boat weighs 10,000 pounds and I get 9.5 mpg now and 13 with other truck. I do appreciate your videos, well done, I wish I had some of your mechanical skills
So I'm definitely thinking about deleting my 2020 Ram 2500 this coming Monday due to the Def service See Dealer light coming up twice on me while on a family road trip off the grid, definitely not cool
I have a 21 Mega cab dually. I can’t get over 16mpg to save my life. And I get 10-11mpg towing. Don’t really matter the weight. I want to delete for fuel mileage mostly. But also, my truck gave me a “service def” at 30k miles in the middle of a long distance tow… seems the emission systems on these rigs are the weakest link.
Kyle, thanks for all the info. I’m running a 2017 6.7 in Ontario and just had my first DEF service scare. Cured with a recall software update. I’m after reliability only. I tow a 35ft boat twice a year and my Harley trailer down south in the winter. Empty the rest of the time. I’m running 37’s so I didn’t lift and mod the truck to worry about MPG, don’t care about that. So my question’s are…will full delete affect my trucks overall reliability? Is there a kit that leaves it “looking stock”? Is there a Diesel shop in Southern Ontario that you recommend to do the delete mod for me? I could do it but I’m semi retired and lazy now. Once again thanks for your time.
I would delete personally in Canada unless you are willing to freeze every morning. The EGR only runs when the engine is below 60c you shouldn't bring your rpm over 2k until your engine is over 60c. The delete doesn't really add power. The tune does that and it does lessen the exhaust back Pressure removing the scr however the new emission systems have there flaws worked out pretty well so they don't really restrict it that much. Then the other issue is if you have a 2500 which has the 68rfe the worst tranny in existence then you are asking for trouble by upping the power if that was your concern a 3500 high output is the truck you want. Personally I think 800ftlb is a ton of torque. Pulled my 40 foot long destination unit from Ottawa to northern Alberta with no problems

There’s no dash lights on what are you talking about?
@@darkirondiesel my bad, just went back and looked. may have mistaken the light showing exhaust brake on with the low def light
How much was the total cost for everything done in this video?
Link is in description man, just that kit and nothing else
I did that to mine but I might have to put a muffler on mine. With the camper or tractor as a load it can get a little loud
Dumb question alert but I’m curious:
Can you add the peddle commander to that ezlynk?
Yeah you could but once you program the truck with the ez lynk you probably won’t want the pedal commander anyways because the ez lynk tunes will increase throttle sensitivity.
Also that’s not a dumb question at all
@@darkirondieselso the EZ Lynk is basically the same as peddle commander?
Do a 2021+ 6.7 power stroke next!
I’ll get one in the shop
So definitely not for MPG. Highway 70mph I get about 19.4mpg and that’s a dually HO. Combined I get about 18’s. Heavy towing I get mid 15’s. I will do this but only if something breaks and I’m out of warranty in 38k miles.
Yeah tons of guys wait til their truck has its first emission breakdown while off warranty, makes sense.
@@darkirondiesel yeah I mean your gonna spend $2k anyways. Might as well spend $2k on nothing vs $2k on shit that’ll break again.
Will deleting avoid the truck going into limp, thanks in advance
Lots of good advice brother
Yes and even if the truck goes in limp mode as soon as you tune it with this tuner it will erase the codes and take it out of limp mode.
Yeah buddy 👍🏼
Looking for some 3rd gen ecodiesel love if it exist.
Im in the Virden area where you at?
