You don't know that she does or doesn't agree with him, just because she is not verbally expressing which it is. Sometimes the wife is more of the talker, sometimes the man is and neither one is better than the other, all about personality.

@@rufusdusol9453 my comment was just based on other women that grew up in the same environment as her. They have the tendency to only agree with everything their husbands say and are not allowed to express their opinions and thoughts. Jill, as we can notice, broke free from those ancient rules.

There are numerous doctors and trans people that have come out and said it’s wrong as well. As well as many reversing their decision in adulthood. You have to take some things with a grain of salt. Derrick has said some pretty transphobic things in the past and I don't recall him acknowledge that or apologizjng but I also stopped following the duggers around the Josh incident.
I mostly came to this channel because I see the way Jill is being treated and I can't even fathom it. When I reported my sexual abuse my family was behind me 100% (it wasn't family who did it). I can't imagine speaking my truth and being met with what Jill is. I give her props for being so strong and brave.
I do question the LGBTQIA stuff but I also know people that grew up in pretty conservative Christian households who believed everything they were taught about the LGBTQIA community etc and they're still learning, growing and changing and breaking away from that. When your raised in a religion that ingraines so much hate and it's enforced by everyone around you, it is hard to break away from. Some people are fortunate and do and some never do.
I'll hold judgment and keep hoping for the best for Jill and her family in regards to the way she is being treated for being honest and open.
All of this confirms my reasons for completely disengaging from most Dugger related stuff around Josh... I knew at least one of the girls was being forced in front of the media. There'd be no way I could have done it if my abuse had been made so public. 🤷‍♀️

I just have to say how much I just feel like you've recently really grown. You're such a wonderful woman mother and wife. Im so sorry for the horrible and or sad things you've had to go thru. NOT that almost everyone has to go thru some horrible and sas times in their lives also. I just love to see you finally finding and USING your voice. Doing what you want with yourself and your own family. AND NOT allowing your parents any leeway no more. I can only imagine how nervous you were in the beginning. But how amazing it feels to you now! My last comment is that Im really really sad.... Shocked..... Taken aback...... and absolutely down right SICKENED that not only you had to ask your father for YOUR SHARE of the earnings that were allocated FOR you. But to actually be required by your father to hire an attorney to get it just makes me sick and ANGRY for you. And not only am I all those things about this situation, but I'm ALSO EXTREMELY EXTREMELY CONFUSED! Because for so many many years, I've watched your family's shows. And I couldn't even begin to count the times your father portrayed himself to be such a GOD FEARING RELIGIOUS MAN WHO ALWAYS DID THE RIGHT THING. That he has all these morals and values. YET HE TRULY STOLE FROM HIS OWN CHILDREN. THERE'S ZERO OTHER WAY TO PUT IT!! What on earth could possibly make him think he didn't owe it to you. And quite frankly, more than likely many of your siblings. I just see him now for the crop of crap he is and not who he portrays himself to be. Because it's a lie. He has NO MORALS!! He shuddered to think of giving you YOUR MONEY THAT YOU RIGHTFULLY EARNED. But yet I wonder whos helped your eldest brother pay all his EXTREMELY RECENTLY COSTLY ATTORNEY FEES???
    Hmmm..... Give you 2 guesses!

I loved yalls stance on LGBT and friendships with disagreements! I'm LGBT myself and it annoys me when people on either side like you said want to preach at you or belittle you or try over and over to force you to agree when you simply don't see eye to eye. It sometimes feels more like the person is building themselves up instead of having genuine conversation. I love talking to people with all different perspectives so I can learn and grow when we have a genuine connection! And I've always thought if someone is strong in their faith they wouldn't have to try to convince everyone around them all the time in order to even hang out.
Anyway its REALLY encouraging to see people who think like you guys do knowing how and caring enough to be respectful and pointing out that either side of any issue can have a tendancy to get heated and there's no need for that.
I asked my brother over the holidays if he could simply refrain from talking to me about his opinions about my lifestyle and religion for the couple days I was visiting as well as use my new name that I've changed years ago (I said he could use whatever pronouns) and it was really confusing to me that he said I was being unreasonable and acted like I was asking him not to share his faith in God...which I wasn't I'm very interested in Jesus and learning from people's faith but in the end he said as a Christian he couldn't do that and it was very disheartening since the reason I asked him is it's connected to some traumas for me and I'd rather focus on healing his and my relationship then talking about that but anyway it's lovely to see people with his similar beliefs who think it's totally reasonable to have respectful and kind conversations. :)

If you are a bible believing Christian, then the answer is right there to read and live by. To believe in God is a choice. If you live that life then you believe all that is written, it isn't a difficult concept. What they mean by a choice to be gay or whatever letter you want to assign to alternative lifestyles, is that its a fight that can be won and has to be won if you believe what the Lord wants for us. It's hard to stay on the Christian walk, it isn't easy by any stretch, but it's worth it! Being gay is just another fight that you must fight to not participate in. Period! It isn't ignorant to love the creator and therefore be loyal and obedient to his laws and tenets. It isn't a different basket...it's the same basket, but maybe not the right one for you!

For those of you getting mad and saying they are homophobic and calling people in LGBTQ+ sinful... I'm not sure you were really listening. They were very respectful in what they said, as well as mentioned that EVERYONE sins, including them. So what I am hearing them say, is that they can be friends with anyone and that they have no place to judge. They also have a right to their Christian beliefs. I think a lot of you are wayyy too hard on them. They have come a long way from where they started. I also think that it is very healthy and okay to be able to have friends and love people that you disagree with or don't necessarily have the same values as, it shows maturity. We can not agree with someone AND not judge them at the same time. Humans are cool like that 🥰 Be kind people! It takes alot of courage these days to speak up about who we are and what we believe, I have much respect for anyone who can do it out of love and kindness. There are alot of UA-cam videos out there of debates that I find very interesting, (Christian vs. Atheists) (Muslim vs Christians) and so on... And the best thing that I get out of it, is for the most part no matter what the beliefs, they treat each other with love and respect. I think that if you want to be accepted and respected for your beliefs you need to respect and accept that others have their own as well. It's actually a really beautiful thing if you think about it. Much love!

You both talked about the LGBTQ+ community in a pretty respectful way, and I respect that. It sounds genuine when you speak about us like that. I also want to add that as a former Christian (charismatic), I don’t believe that the Bible fully explains the modern applications of the verses that are “against” the identities of LGBTQ folks. it’s not as much about “disagreeing” with a person’s “lifestyle”, as it is about honoring who they are as a person- if you believe that God doesn’t make mistakes, that he made us in his image, and (especially) if you follow Calvinistic beliefs and everything is preordained, then your beliefs would actually support the development of different, non-heteronormative and non-cisgendered identities. There are plenty of other cultures that have more than two genders and sexualities.
Letting a person know that you disagree with a part of them, presumably a large part of their lives because it is something that directly affects their relationships and families, can put a huge rift in between you and the friend who is LGTBQ. Of course, it varies from person to person. I’m not suggesting that you abandon your beliefs, I’m only suggesting that acceptance is the most Jesus-like action one could take. Agreement and acceptance are two different things for this. I think it would mean a lot for a person to know that you accept them for who they say they are, and it would likely bring you closer. Again, I respect how gently you’re going about this!

I have a couple things in response to that.
      1. There is no such thing as a former Christian. You’re either sealed by the Holy Spirit or you are not.
      2. The Bible and its word are the same yesterday, today, and forever. There is no modern, or traditional, or ancient version. It is all applicable at every point in history, and for every person regardless of time. It doesn’t have a modern take. What God has said applies to every generation.
      3. Who you are is a person created in the image of God. Your sexual desires are not who you are. You completely misunderstand the idea that God does not make mistakes. He made you to worship and surrender to him. If you have chosen not to do that, it is YOU who has made the mistake, not God.
      4. No, there are not other countries who have more than two genders. There is only male and female. Anything other than that is a deviation from nature and from God‘s plan.
      5. No, excepting sin is not the most Christlike thing one can do. The most Christlike thing one can do is to tell them about repentance, the gospel, forgiveness, and how they can be changed from the inside out.
We are not to except people based on who they SAY they are. A person can SAY they’re a turnip. We are to except them as creations of the creator. And that is completely different than excepting their sin, which we are not to do.

I don't believe you have any real friends that are LGBT or Q. You may know people who are, but you're not friends with them if you believe they are sinners and are judging them and not wanting them to be who they are. We all know that feeling when someone doesn't like you or is judging you, even if they're being polite, and it doesn't feel good, it hurts.

I have to agree. I couldn’t be friends with someone who believes I’m sinful based on how I was born and created. I would be polite and respectful but not friends.

Kind of like how everyone acts like they don’t like the Duggar’s and judge them just because of their beliefs? Does that mean that if someone doesn’t think like you or act like you, then you hate and don’t want them too? Really think about what you’re implying about them when you yourself don’t actually know that they feel that way. It’s hypocritical to say “if you don’t think like me, you’re a bigot” and then judge them for supposedly doing the same 😅

They have really grown up, they seem like a really nice couple.
Through the years this family has gone through a lot publicly. I really respect these two for always speaking their minds.
Regardless of what the media has reported they have supported each other, protected each other and their family.
    I respect that.

She was always the most upbeat, nurturing n adventurous. Her virtues are almost unreal. Thankfully intelligence was also a primary/secondary attribute. I am always stunned by their lack of education but throughout history, autodidacts do quite well.
