Many years ago we had an old ABI Celebration we were repairing.
When all the rot had been sorted we attended to the aesthetics.
We polished the pale green paintwork several times with a certain expensive car polish (that comes in white bottles...) Looked wonderful.
The black grab handles were solid and intact but had faded and looked tatty.
We masked them up and coloured them back to black with a thick permanent marker.
Like new !

Hello Phil we’ve just had are caravan cleaned ready for the bank holiday weekend, the people that cleaned are caravan recommend fitting a awning rail protector to help prevent black streaks, ( one ordered) if I can’t get two out of a 12 metre length, I will order another one later, thanks for your tips, until next time, 👍.

Hard work, attention to detail and the right tools and products is what you need. Nice job there Phil and thank you for choosing Caravan Magic. We would recommend a top coat of Spot Wax Finisher once the area has been cleaned with Black Streak Remover. It provides a barrier against traffic film and black streaks while enhancing a polished high shine gloss on paintwork, plastics and metal. It makes it easier to clean next time and keeps your caravan black streak free for longer.

I have tried most of them & a get the best results with Autoglym caravan & motor home cleaner. Then rinse thoroughly & apply a little Gyeon wet coat & rinse off. Good video cheers.👍🇬🇧🏆
Hi Senna I think there are so many ways and products to remove black streaks. The hardest are the ones engrained in the body paint work. I use t-cut on them. Thanks Phil 👍🙂

Black streaks never look nice , but if there’s a product to make the job easier it’s good ( oh since you cleaned the roof I’ve had no black marks )

Great video Phil. I do the same with my caravan as I’ve been detailing cars for years so do the same with caravan. The Wife thinks am nuts but it’s the small detail that makes the difference an I do love a clean caravan. Just not worked out which is the best product to clean the front on the swift as it’s starting to go dull and it’s only three yrs old. Cheers 👍

Yes been looking at that myself as watched the the caravan place use it. I didn’t really want to get my DA polisher out as it’s hard to get electric up at the storage yard. How is for the love of caravans getting on ? Usually see him round by mine on the M53 but not seen him for weeks an know he not been well. Hope all is well

Enjoyed watching that Phil. You clearly demonstrated how the products lifted the dirt away 👍. We had our caravan treated with Glamour Shield and it’s always stored in the garage. We always get black streaks after being away in wet weather which should wash away but don’t, it obviously wasn’t done properly. I use car polish to buff them away but probably should try the product you’ve demonstrated. Is it ok to use on protective coatings? Cheers Rob

Thats a good video there Phil. Our Bailey is a nightmare for black streaks at the back. Even after the roof etc has been cleand it's still dirty at the back. I do wonder if it's the roof strap getting dirt built up as don;t have the bottle to give it a good scrub with the issues with the roof strap. As I say mine needs a good clean but I am keep putting it off. There is clean cold water at storage so should get it done.
Hi Paul. A lot of the dirt collects around the Brake Light and the straps. I use warm water to clean the vans as it lifts the dirt much better. Maybe a 12 volt kettle could help you with the cleaning. Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Nice tips Phil, I’ve a dreaded join and it’s a nuisance. My awning rail protector strip is filthy and struggling to get it clean.
Hi Colin. Thanks for watching. I soak the awning rail protector in warm soapy water for 1/2 hours and then use Cif to clean it. It works most of the time it depends how old the strip is. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Found our 2018 Sprite 4SB rarely gets black streaks but know some people get loads of them?!
Hi Gary. I have recently noticed on ours, a few streaks coming from the front windows. When I clean it tomorrow I am going to really clean the window rubbers and the Channel surrounding the Sun Roof. This channel gets blocked easily. Thanks Phil👍🙂
