Holy shit guy. You only need to grout the joints not the whole tile. Try a bag next time for natural stone. Especially slate and ALWAYS seal slate before grouting
@@Apexjasonmorganllc lol. Ask anyone if u should seal slate before grouting and they will tell u absolutely. Probably videos on here addressing the issue. Lol
@@trumpking4874 you mean grout release? Used it a million times it wasn’t an issue on this shower. If you watch the whole video you’ll notice even after one with wash it cleaned up well. After a second clean water pass it was very clean, no haze.
james cipriano I like the pro lite thinset, it's spendy but worth the extra. You can also just get a good modified thinset. The grout in this video is power grout. If you set your mud pan up correctly you can keep the waterproofing to a minimum but yes I do use hydroban for my waterproofing
james cipriano I do have a good video on here that shows the process of putting the final bed of drypack in a mud pan. I believe it's called "mud pan drypack the right way"
Best

It cleaned up perfectly, what are you talking about? You’ve obliviously not worked with stone or tile very much.

I agree hydro ban is the way to go. Apex floor rocks, mud walls is the way to go
Wtf that's not how to grout
Lmao
That slate is screwed. There’s probably a haze on it to this day
Trump king- I’m not a rookie man. I never leave haze behind. That job came out sweet.
