This ultimately made me pull the trigger on the Moza R5 and the dongle. Looking forward to getting into sim racing with a wheel for the first time after pouring hundreds of hours into GT7 with the DualSense controller.
@@Doughtinator So far really loving it! The wheel controls great with your setup from the description. Did you ever experience a slight dead zone in the 0 degree position on GT7 in terms of force feedback? That's the only thing I notice, and I'm assuming it's specifically the GT7 engine. I've also been playing a lot of Assetto Corsa Competizione for the first time and that's been an absolute joy ride. I've learned so much in such a short period of time and find myself getting lost in 40 lap practice runs all night. Overall great pickup for sure!
@@plty3931 Still use it to this day. But I've primarily switched over to using it on PC for Assetto Corsa / ACC. Although it works fine on GT7, it clearly has it's issues as previously stated in my other follow-up comment (see above). Fantastic wheel, and I look forward to giving it a proper racing seat in about a year.

Thank you so much! Currently waiting the adapter. Managed to get the R5 with a great discount price earlier this year for AMS2. Shortly after grabbed the lighter F1 wheel. I have been too long absent from GT7.
Had a quick test last night and everything worked. But the force feedback torque was light. So light that I had to max out the in-game setting and the new adapter setting. The ffb was noticeably weaker than for example what one can get by maxing GT7 settings with a supported wheel. Then I tried to get the Moza Pithouse work thru my phone but the Bluetooth connection failed. The software found my Moza R5 but couldn't connect. The forces are there but behind the Bluetooth connection. Damn.. Gotta research and try again tonight..
@AutomobileVR I have my settings in game to be about 7 or 8 for the top setting and 10 for the lower setting. The pit house settings are in my main R5 review video. It’s greatly depends on which car for FFB strength. A lot of people. Even with native wheels are reporting light FFB since update 1.49 though. We may see a patch to improve. Some of the Gr3 cars feel really good. But others feel very weak.
This is the exact limbo scenario I am in! I love the Moza ecosystem, and see the R5 as plenty of nm for my use, and a future upgrade path to their formula and GT wheels is enticing. However, I want something to use on my PC and my PS5 so I can also use Gran Turismo 7 VR and ACC on the PS5, but it's that fine line of whether I take the punt on it or not.
It’s a tough one isn’t it. I’m VERY impressed with the MOZA equipment. The problem is the lack of native support for PlayStation. Relying on an adapter is always a bit of a risk. I’ve been using the KS GT style wheel recently and that’s been great too.
I've been debating with myself about the same scenario. Do I Fanatec Gt pro or extreme for use with all platforms potentially or go Moza R12 with Xbox CSX wheel and try and adopter. I've got all platforms, high end PC but want to use it on console with tv in my room. 😂 Why can't they just do a multi console platform.

Hey Chris, i hope you're well. I'm really glad to see you upgraded from the G29, it's such a huge difference, night and day. I love my G29, it got me to fall in love with sim racing so it holds a special place in my heart for sure. I really love the way the Moza wheel looks, very nice. Ultimately, I wish you would have gone with the Fanatec GT DD pro but I know this is great too. I just noticed that with the DD pro with 5nm was great but when i hooked up the 8nm boost kit it completely changed everything. Even if you are running a lower power setting, the details are much stronger. Regardless, I'm happy for you and it's great, congratulations and good luck. Also that Bluetooth app on the phone thing is great.
Have been testing with the R5+adapter dongle combo now. It seems the more you 'fiddle' with the adapter the more it is possible to get wheel disconnections. Also the dongle seems to warm a bit during gameplay. Once you have the settings ready hit the tarmac and leave the dongle in cooler place. I keep it on top of PS5 where the exit airflow occurs. Everything seems ok now. With the phone app tuning the road cars are ok in general. But the GT3 class is definitely the king of feel.

Then I remembered my phone's Bluetooth pairing showed also the adapter. So maybe the Bluetooth signal has something to do with the disconnections? So I switched the bt off on my phone. No discos after that. Hmm..

i just change from controller to R5 a week ago, i feel good with this price for a DD wheel especially playing rally race, connection is really a problem, sometimes you need to restart the PS5, last thing is worrying about PS renew something to stop Ras1ution working.
I bought the adapter based on this video. I also got the R5 bunde, my first wheel kit ever. It is not working properly. Everything is great except the wheel movement in-game. Moving to 0 degrees to 1 degree either way results in the game thinking it's being locked out in either direction. I have an e-mail out to Raslution to see if they can fix it.

Great content. I’ve just won a Moza R3 and have set it up with GT7 on my PS4. Your content helped. I have swapped it over and replaced my logi 923 I seem to get zero road feedback - no wobble, no feedback when I hit the curb. Feels like I need to turn the wheel a lot more to make sharp turns like turn 1 at spa vs what I need with the Logitech. Have I set it wrong - I’ve got all sensitivity and feedback at 10 and the pedal calibration worked fine. I just seem to have zero feedback, and even when I spin on purpose, the feedback is nothing compared to the Logitech. Help needed !!!
@ yes. I went back to my Logitech. After speaking with the distributor / tech help here they said it was a common outcome when you go through the adapter. They did ask if I had downloaded the moza app to set up the sensitivities etc in there as well as game and adapter settings, but at that point I had returned the Raslution and so now my R3 sits in a box. I do also have a new Xbox so I’ll set it up with Asetto Corsa Comp at some point - which is my plan B ! Sorry I can’t help more - try the app and see if you can improve the feel / feedback and let me know - if it works I’ll try again and buy a new adapter .
Great review, Chris! Im really liking what Moza is doing for simracing, and excited about the upcoming Moza R3, which should be the new entry-level king. I knew you would love ANY direct drive wheel. Like you, i had a couple of G29s before i got Logitech's G Pro DD wheel. The DriveHub adapter I use allows just about any peripheral to be used, like here, but also allows the full 11nm of the G Pro to be unlocked. PD normally nerf the G Pro to 7nm. See if you can get the G Pro and DriveHub. You will be amazed at the performance leap from the G29.
Can you use any handbrake on the market? I’m looking at DriveHub as a solution as I also have the Logitech DD Pro, however, their documentation says DriveHub only supports the Fanatec 1.5 handbrake, which isn’t that high quality. Also, do you still get TrueForce support with the DriveHub?
@@passone I think handbrakes are limited, sorry, but other peripherals such as gearshifts and pedals are pretty well supported. Having said that, I ordered a Moza HGP shifter which I thought was supported but isn't. Yet. They do support the Moza wheels and pedals. Oh well. An option would be the Thrustmaster handbrakes, too.
Problem with these devices is sony can update firmware and ban them pretty much at any time and it costs $100+ so if you play gt7 a lot best to just get a ps5 supported wheel unfortunately. I had to use collective minds drive hub with similar experience just less convenient as it requires some off brand controller to add for it to work. I will probably try gt7 once ps5 pro comes out and just get DD+ for it(not exactly much choice here) as i did not find regular ps5 visuals good enough on psvr2.

I was looking at the Cammus C12 and their CL100 pedals but they aren't compatible with Ps5. I see your using the Brooks to emulate the Logitech G29 for your Moza so I'm wondering if the Brooks emulate the G pro for something like the Cammus? Also does the emulation of the G29 give you the true Force effect to your Moza. Say you are building a sim system for PS5 from scratch. Would you get R5 + adapter or get something like Thrustmaster T300? I like the feeling of direct drive but I don't want to pay over 1k for a direct drive system. I only play GT7. Thanks
Sorry for the late reply. It’s a hard one to give a solid recommendation because Sony could just block the raslution adapter. I certainly hope they don’t but there is always that risk. However. I’ve been thoroughly impressed and happy with the R5 performance so far. Since plugging in as described in the video it’s been faultless. 👍🏻👍🏻
was thinking which was better csl dd clubsport 15nm one or the moza r21 21nm one, i usually play on pc, but sometimes console compatibility is also a nice thing, this videos make me think moza is not so bad on console after all

Hi mate, I have a weird one I can't figure out. The r5 connects to GT7 and sees its a g29 but the steering is hard locked left to +450 degrees and recentering it in the app doesn't do much. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

i just got my moza r3 bundle and using it on ps5 with ras1ution 2 like you, works great! using the ES wheel except only one problem, I can't figure out how to change my fuel maps! On my old g29 i use the +/- and the dial. The ES don't have anything like that, I went too button config and can't figure it out.

I’m not sure a split brand pedal set would work. Others have said a TCLM pedals work with MOZA base but I’ve not tested those combos. Maybe drop raslution support a message. They’ve been good at replying when I’ve tried.

I haven't tried it on Project Cars 2, but I would start with the same wheel base settings, and then try changing settings in the game to fine tune the feeling
I’ve not tested. But the R3 is listed as compatible. I use the KS wheel. Most of the buttons work. But the dials do not work. I do plan to review the KS wheel at some point 👍🏻
I just moved from a g29 and got this setup and I'm loving it. It makes me want to play more. The force feedback is actually stronger than what I need so I put it on 8. I highly suggest this setup for GT7 players (if you want a wheel)
@@plty3931 for me it depends on which car I'm driving weather or not I feel ffb in the center. Maybe it has something to do with the dead zone settings. I'll have to pay specific attention to it next time I play. This issue hasn't really jumped out at me though.
Hi mate, after watching this video decided to get the adapter. All connects the way it should, but I can't figure out why in GT7 it shows the steering wheel at +450 degrees even though I've recentered in the moza app. All firmwares up to date. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Can I ask what firmware the moza is on? Read somewhere that could be the issue Update: Definitely was the latest moza firmware. I rollback the firmware and works great. Does anyone know if this adapter works with the R3? I would suspect that it shouldn't be any different, but I ask because the R3 has the chip for Xbox compatibility installed into the wheel, so i wondered if that would make any difference or not?
I don't have any ffb with Moza R12 V2+CS V2P wheel+SR-P pedals. The wheel, pedal works, i can control the game fully but no ffb. 10 strength/10 sensitivity or lower nothing
Hi Doughtinator, thank you for the video, it’s very helpful. What firmware do you use as I have an issue with mine. The wheel feels very light when it’s straight and up to about 5 degrees turning left or right as if there is almost no feedback. Though some bumps do go through, but the car revs and etc are not giving any force feedback. After turning slightly more the feedback is normal and feels great. I have firmware 1.7.0.1 (sent by brook). Thanks again
On GT7 or ACC? I think I’m using 1.70 from the brook website. Feels great in GT7. Perhaps a few degrees of empty FFB in ACC but I felt like this was more a trait of ACC console FFB.

I’ve rolled back to 1.7.0 and if using a gt3 the force feels normal and very good but is non existent with slower cars when going straight. I guess can’t have everything with the wheels that are not licensed/compatible
@loxkocapb I’ve not tried WRC. In ACC I think it works well. Though I’ve only tried the GT3 cars. You could try and turn up the ‘strength’ setting on the adapter directly to see what effect that has. Also make sure you don’t have any dead zone set as that will likely leave a gap in the FFB. let me know how you get on 👍🏻
I just got my r5 and adapter this week but I’ve been struggling to play acc gt7 seems to be fine. Great video I now realise I’ve been connecting the device wrongly. Anyone have a suggestions to help me set up acc?
I’ve seen few of these vids and most say that the forcefeedback is terrible, when using the Moza woth the adapter. Are you saying the forcefeedback is good for you? If so, how good?
The rev lights only work on ACC on PC. I play LMU and Rennsport occasionally & the rev lights don't work on those 2 games either., until Moza recognises those 2 games in Pithouse.
@@maxavina6562 you using Moza r5 on ps5? If so, is guy in this video correct in saying if g29 works for certain games then the r5 will deff work? Also, the bundle doesn’t come with loadcell . Can you add later? And is it poor before possibly upgrading? I’m used to g29 so it will probably be much better in every way. I’m just anxious to buy in case it don’t work. Also only 5.5 NM worries me a bit as it’s quite low and if I feel like I need more in months, I’ll have to buy new setup. Although £500 sounds appealing for r5 bundle but maybe it’s worth paying £1200 odd and get 11NM Logitech and that will probably blow r5 out of the water. If I could try r5 I’d know if it was enough in 1 race and it may actually be good to use for few years and get moneys worth from it.

Thanks for this video! Question: Am I able to use my G29 pedals with this wheel on ps5? I've modded my g29 pedals with an AXC TrueBrake and I'd like to keep using those.
Can I plug it into the back instead of the front of the ps5 without any issues as I have the slim version which only has the usb ports at the back. Or am I able to use a USB A to C adapter to connect it to the console.
This R5 and T-LCM combo works for PS5? I'm using the T300 RS GT and the T-LCM now and i only play GT7 with the PSVR2. What I really wanted to know is the R5 significantly better than the T300 for GT7.
@@kevinlei1969 I use R5 base & T-lcm pedals with Ras1ution 2 for GT7 only. I took some fiddling with the settings in the Moza phone app to get the best out of it. But imo, I think it's better than the T300. I had the T300 before the Moza. I also play LMU and ACC on PC, which was the reason for getting Moza. But I don't have any loss of FFB because of overheating as the T300 does. If you only play GT7, then I'd stay with the T300 or maybe upgrade to the TGT II.
Great Video, keep it up please, but why doesn't Moza just come out with a Direct Drive for Console? I believe they are cheeping out with this adaptor. I'd like to see you do a comparison video using Moza on PC and then with the adaptor on console, say 10 laps each to see your lap times.
I’m currently using the same set up but i had to max out my ffb on the Ras1ution, Moza app and in game setting too. Its weak when i didnt max it all out. Also there is like a small play on straight while im going fast like there isnt ffb until i make a small rotation on the wheel. Is that normal?

For some reason, everything works except my steering wheel in the calibration controls starts off all the way to the left. I can’t steer the car at all. Do I need to do a firmware update on the actual device on a PC first?
When I’ve seen similar it’s because of a new firmware on the wheel base. I think raslution will need to make an update to cover the latest FFB3.0 updates from MOZA. contact raslution support and see if they can help.
It’s hard to say. A natively supported wheel is safer to buy for future comparability. But with Fanatec financial situation even that presents a risk. Overall. I’m really enjoying the R5. I would be happy buying it again 👍🏻

Hi Doughtinator have seen your video about moza setup i bought moza r3 bundle and brook Ras1ution 2 for ps5 gt7. When I connect brook it comes up as Logitech g29 on ps5 (perfectly fine) but under controller settings it shows the steering wheel is turned -450 degrees and if I then turn the steering wheel 3 millimeters to the other side it shows +450 degrees, that that is to say inside gt7 the car turns to one side after autopilot, so can't use moza r3 steering wheel on ps5 at all. Really hope you might know what I can do there
Hello! This happens with newer firmware updates on MOZA wheel bases. Due to FFB3.0 from MOZA. If you contact raslution support and explain this problem they can provide a firmware for the adapter that works with this. I have a beta version of this firmware and it fixes this problem. I think it’s version 1.8.X Let me know if you have any other problems 👍🏻
I'm in trouble. I have R12 + FSR +CRP. The steering wheel does not center. Impossible to drive. The other buttons work well, but the steering wheel does not center. That's the point.
Do you mean centre with no force feedback or to able to drive straight? I have been testing and the beta update for FFB3.0 does NOT work with the Raslution2 adapter. If you’re using the Beta MOZA firmware you’ll need to roll back to released version firmware. If it’s a lack of force feedback problem. Power everything off and follow the power up and plug in exactly as described in the video 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator I'm using the latest official firmware, not the beta. The steering wheel angle always varies around 448 degrees. It is not centralized. As I haven't been able to keep the car in a straight line yet, it's not possible to know what the forcefeedback is like. I've already centered it in the moza app, I've set it at 900 degrees, but in the GT7 nothing changes.
@rafaelcarrij that problem sounds like the same problem I get when updating to the beta firmware. Contact Raslution support via their website. They are really good at responding 👍🏻

Make sure the adapter is plugged into the front of you PlayStation and don’t allow it to get too hot. When I followed the plug in method detailed in this video mine has been perfect since.
Can you get the Moza to work on Snowrunner... on the PC ? There seems to be an issue, and it's preventing me from making the switch from my lowly G29 setup.
Has anyone tried this Moza with raslution2 on ps5 woth dirt rally, dirt rally 2 and Wrc 10? They are the games I play and I’m wondering if Moza and the Raslution2 on ps5 will work and give great forcefeedback on ps5? Surely a Moza wheel will give much less quality forcefeedback because it’s on ps5 and not made for that? From what I’ve gathered , the forcefeedback feels bad on ps5 but I just don’t know who to believe. If this works great, I’d much rather buy Moza for ps5 rather then Logitech g pro.
I’ve not tested with those games but if G29 works then this should work too. I’ve been trying to validate if anything is lost due to the adapter but I find it hard to tell. I can’t feel any input lag. The force feedback feels crisp and WAY better than G29 effects.

Wish I was 15 again in the 90’s there wouldn’t be so much choice and I’d have been happy with any direct drive wheel 😀 I just bought a dj controller for £1000 and it was disaster and disappointing. Been waiting for my best friend Amazon to pick it up so I can get my refund. Let’s hope when/if I ever decide on a wheel, it will go much better.

Nice review, lots of good info. Im still on the fence of what to do on upgrading my current t300 Alcantara edition. I was really hoping for an update from thrustmaster to make the pc wheel work on a ps5 without an adapter or new ps5 version DD wheel base. Has anyone heard any news on Thrustmasters plans?? The only thing that comes to mind is Sony and fanatec licensing that is making thrustmaster hold off?? That being said with all that stuff happening with fanatec maybe that licensing will be terminated. Subscriber now!
Thanks man. Yeah it seems PlayStstion are very tight when it comes to compatibility which is a real shame. It’s hard to know if it’s technical reasons or political reasons for various brands not having ability to work with PlayStation 🤷🏻♂️
The buttons/controls disconnect happens on fanatec playstation wheels as well and their owners have had to pause and unpause to get it back working again must be a tad frustrating........I always found fanatec wheels for playstation to be too expensive and the games themselves as good as they are dont justify a £1300 layout just for the wheel and another £300+ for pedals to pay a buggy game that cost £20 on a £400 PS5 something seems a bit off with that, moza seems to be more in the correct price range to me.....
@@Doughtinator yeah Tidgney has had it happen a couple of times with his DD wheel and also Rory Alexander, not sure what the problem is whether hardware or software but not great at that price
@@telmo2430 Tidney doesn't have the extreme pro as far as I'm aware and his review videos show Rory has the extreme pro I believe but they both seem to have the same problems, I remember connection issues being a problem with the QR1 as well.....but its likely a software or handshake issue due to pausing and unpausing the game fixing it
I already bought moza R5 + res1 2 but got centre wheel issues -400++ . I try to updated res1 1.8 beta and its work but no FBB . Already try all firmware 1.5 - 1.7 still not settle centre issues on gt7😢
Probably a stupid question but is it possible to use a higher powered Moza wheelbase, using raslution2? Maybe 9-12NM? Or it only works with this r5 bundle, on ps5?
Yes. Check the raslution 2 website. It looks like most of the MOZA bases are supported. I can’t validate them personally but they are listed as supported 👍🏻👍🏻

There isnt any word if they will update the Brook so it is recognized as a DD? It looks like VRS isnt supported.
I just checked my stats. A+ 167 races 24 wins 97 top5s I’m not sure that combo of equipment works. It needs to be same brand stuff for the brook to work properly. 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator how do you mean transfered over? As in all your stats from GT Sport transfered over? Or do you mean that you maintained the same level of driving and carried that over to GT7?
It’s hard to know. The R9 will work. But the FANATEC pedals aren’t listed as compatible on the website here. www.brookaccessory.com/products/ras1ution2/index.html
using raslution 2 with r9 for a year, its not that good as this guy tells here. actually its not better than my old thrustmaster t300 in terms of ffb quality and ffb a bit slow (latency?). I also tried to use raslutin 2 with ACC on ps5 and PC. FFB is much better on PC (native support), like night and day. I spent a lot of time trying to tweak settgins, but got nothing close to PC version of ACC. If your main platform is ps5 better get a fanatec dd or wait for moza base/wheel with native playstation support.
I have the T300 with a T-LCM and contemplate and upgrade to the R5. Have your try his setting and are your on the latest firmware? I really would like to know if the R5 would give better force feedback than the T300
@@kevinlei1969 hi, my Raslution2 have the latest firmware at the moment. I cant say that my r9 is superior to my old t300 on gt7 in terms of ffb quality. On pc in asseto corsa and acc its much much better. So if you are on pc it's definitely worth to upgrade to r5. If you play only on ps i strictly recommend to test r5 + Raslution2 yourself before buying. Otherwise it may not worth the money.

I’d recommend to power everything off and power up and reconnect everything exactly as described in the video. Should work then. If not. Check what firmware your wheel and adapter are using. Let me know if that works further you 👍🏻

This ultimately made me pull the trigger on the Moza R5 and the dongle. Looking forward to getting into sim racing with a wheel for the first time after pouring hundreds of hours into GT7 with the DualSense controller.

@@Doughtinator So far really loving it! The wheel controls great with your setup from the description. Did you ever experience a slight dead zone in the 0 degree position on GT7 in terms of force feedback? That's the only thing I notice, and I'm assuming it's specifically the GT7 engine.
I've also been playing a lot of Assetto Corsa Competizione for the first time and that's been an absolute joy ride. I've learned so much in such a short period of time and find myself getting lost in 40 lap practice runs all night.

@@plty3931 Still use it to this day. But I've primarily switched over to using it on PC for Assetto Corsa / ACC. Although it works fine on GT7, it clearly has it's issues as previously stated in my other follow-up comment (see above).

Currently waiting the adapter. Managed to get the R5 with a great discount price earlier this year for AMS2. Shortly after grabbed the lighter F1 wheel.

Had a quick test last night and everything worked. But the force feedback torque was light. So light that I had to max out the in-game setting and the new adapter setting.
The ffb was noticeably weaker than for example what one can get by maxing GT7 settings with a supported wheel.
Then I tried to get the Moza Pithouse work thru my phone but the Bluetooth connection failed. The software found my Moza R5 but couldn't connect. The forces are there but behind the Bluetooth connection. Damn.. Gotta research and try again tonight..
@AutomobileVR I have my settings in game to be about 7 or 8 for the top setting and 10 for the lower setting.

It’s greatly depends on which car for FFB strength. A lot of people. Even with native wheels are reporting light FFB since update 1.49 though. We may see a patch to improve.
Some of the Gr3 cars feel really good. But others feel very weak.

This is the exact limbo scenario I am in! I love the Moza ecosystem, and see the R5 as plenty of nm for my use, and a future upgrade path to their formula and GT wheels is enticing. However, I want something to use on my PC and my PS5 so I can also use Gran Turismo 7 VR and ACC on the PS5, but it's that fine line of whether I take the punt on it or not.
It’s a tough one isn’t it. I’m VERY impressed with the MOZA equipment.
The problem is the lack of native support for PlayStation. Relying on an adapter is always a bit of a risk.
I’ve been using the KS GT style wheel recently and that’s been great too.
I've been debating with myself about the same scenario. Do I Fanatec Gt pro or extreme for use with all platforms potentially or go Moza R12 with Xbox CSX wheel and try and adopter. I've got all platforms, high end PC but want to use it on console with tv in my room. 😂 Why can't they just do a multi console platform.

Hey Chris, i hope you're well. I'm really glad to see you upgraded from the G29, it's such a huge difference, night and day. I love my G29, it got me to fall in love with sim racing so it holds a special place in my heart for sure. I really love the way the Moza wheel looks, very nice. Ultimately, I wish you would have gone with the Fanatec GT DD pro but I know this is great too. I just noticed that with the DD pro with 5nm was great but when i hooked up the 8nm boost kit it completely changed everything. Even if you are running a lower power setting, the details are much stronger. Regardless, I'm happy for you and it's great, congratulations and good luck. Also that Bluetooth app on the phone thing is great.

Have been testing with the R5+adapter dongle combo now.
It seems the more you 'fiddle' with the adapter the more it is possible to get wheel disconnections. Also the dongle seems to warm a bit during gameplay.
Once you have the settings ready hit the tarmac and leave the dongle in cooler place. I keep it on top of PS5 where the exit airflow occurs. Everything seems ok now.
With the phone app tuning the road cars are ok in general. But the GT3 class is definitely the king of feel.
Glad you’re getting more success. Mine has worked perfectly since plugging into the front of the PS5 and keeping the adapter away and in the cool 👍🏻
I've noticed that myself the more u fiddle with the dongle the more things act up this thing is set it and leave it alone .

Then I remembered my phone's Bluetooth pairing showed also the adapter. So maybe the Bluetooth signal has something to do with the disconnections? So I switched the bt off on my phone. You actually do lose a lot with this adapter. It’s sending a G29 signal, not a DD signal. HUGE difference.

i just change from controller to R5 a week ago, i feel good with this price for a DD wheel especially playing rally race, connection is really a problem, sometimes you need to restart the PS5, last thing is worrying about PS renew something to stop Ras1ution working.
Since plugging in as described in the video I’ve not had any problems 👍🏻
I bought the adapter based on this video. I also got the R5 bunde, my first wheel kit ever.
It is not working properly. Everything is great except the wheel movement in-game. Moving to 0 degrees to 1 degree either way results in the game thinking it's being locked out in either direction. I have an e-mail out to Raslution to see if they can fix it.

I seem to get zero road feedback - no wobble, no feedback when I hit the curb. Feels like I need to turn the wheel a lot more to make sharp turns like turn 1 at spa vs what I need with the Logitech.
Have I set it wrong - I’ve got all sensitivity and feedback at 10 and the pedal calibration worked fine.
I just seem to have zero feedback, and even when I spin on purpose, the feedback is nothing compared to the Logitech.

@ yes. I went back to my Logitech.
After speaking with the distributor / tech help here they said it was a common outcome when you go through the adapter. They did ask if I had downloaded the moza app to set up the sensitivities etc in there as well as game and adapter settings, but at that point I had returned the Raslution and so now my R3 sits in a box.
I do also have a new Xbox so I’ll set it up with Asetto Corsa Comp at some point - which is my plan B !
Sorry I can’t help more - try the app and see if you can improve the feel / feedback and let me know - if it works I’ll try again and buy a new adapter .

Im really liking what Moza is doing for simracing, and excited about the upcoming Moza R3, which should be the new entry-level king.
I knew you would love ANY direct drive wheel. Like you, i had a couple of G29s before i got Logitech's G Pro DD wheel.
The DriveHub adapter I use allows just about any peripheral to be used, like here, but also allows the full 11nm of the G Pro to be unlocked. PD normally nerf the G Pro to 7nm.
See if you can get the G Pro and DriveHub. You will be amazed at the performance leap from the G29.
Can you use any handbrake on the market? I’m looking at DriveHub as a solution as I also have the Logitech DD Pro, however, their documentation says DriveHub only supports the Fanatec 1.5 handbrake, which isn’t that high quality. Also, do you still get TrueForce support with the DriveHub?
@@passone I think handbrakes are limited, sorry, but other peripherals such as gearshifts and pedals are pretty well supported. Having said that, I ordered a Moza HGP shifter which I thought was supported but isn't. Yet. They do support the Moza wheels and pedals. Oh well.
An option would be the Thrustmaster handbrakes, too.

Yeah direct drive is so sharp. Once I got the settings dialled in everything comes to life!
Problem with these devices is sony can update firmware and ban them pretty much at any time and it costs $100+ so if you play gt7 a lot best to just get a ps5 supported wheel unfortunately. I had to use collective minds drive hub with similar experience just less convenient as it requires some off brand controller to add for it to work. I will probably try gt7 once ps5 pro comes out and just get DD+ for it(not exactly much choice here) as i did not find regular ps5 visuals good enough on psvr2.
Yes agreed. If you have the budget to buy native compatible DD wheel then it’s the safest way.

I have a Ps5 an want to get into sim racing but I didn't want to spend the Bigger money on the Logitech g pro wheel and pedals. I was looking at the Cammus C12 and their CL100 pedals but they aren't compatible with Ps5.
I see your using the Brooks to emulate the Logitech G29 for your Moza so I'm wondering if the Brooks emulate the G pro for something like the Cammus? Also does the emulation of the G29 give you the true Force effect to your Moza. I'm researching before I buy my peripherals wheel n pedals🎉 I'll spend the money for the Logitech G Pro but I'm really impressed with the Cammus because I plan on racing later on PC also so I wanted something compatible

was thinking which was better csl dd clubsport 15nm one or the moza r21 21nm one, i usually play on pc, but sometimes console compatibility is also a nice thing, this videos make me think moza is not so bad on console after all

i just got my moza r3 bundle and using it on ps5 with ras1ution 2 like you, works great! using the ES wheel except only one problem, I can't figure out how to change my fuel maps! On my old g29 i use the +/- and the dial. The ES don't have anything like that, I went too button config and can't figure it out.
Yeah it looks like the +/- buttons aren’t mapped on the MOZA unfortunately.

I’m not sure a split brand pedal set would work. Others have said a TCLM pedals work with MOZA base but I’ve not tested those combos.
Maybe drop raslution support a message. They’ve been good at replying when I’ve tried.

I just moved from a g29 and got this setup and I'm loving it. It makes me want to play more. The force feedback is actually stronger than what I need so I put it on 8. I highly suggest this setup for GT7 players (if you want a wheel)

Hi mate, after watching this video decided to get the adapter. All connects the way it should, but I can't figure out why in GT7 it shows the steering wheel at +450 degrees even though I've recentered in the moza app. All firmwares up to date. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Can I ask what firmware the moza is on? Read somewhere that could be the issue

Contact raslution support. I think they have a fix for this. It happens with new MOZA wheelbase firmware.
Does anyone know if this adapter works with the R3? I would suspect that it shouldn't be any different, but I ask because the R3 has the chip for Xbox compatibility installed into the wheel, so i wondered if that would make any difference or not?

I don't have any ffb with Moza R12 V2+CS V2P wheel+SR-P pedals. The wheel, pedal works, i can control the game fully but no ffb. 10 strength/10 sensitivity or lower nothing
Before connecting the MOZA device to Ras1ution 2, please turn on the power of the MOZA device to see if it can work normally". Now the ffb works :D

I have an issue with mine. The wheel feels very light when it’s straight and up to about 5 degrees turning left or right as if there is almost no feedback. Though some bumps do go through, but the car revs and etc are not giving any force feedback. After turning slightly more the feedback is normal and feels great. I have firmware 1.7.0.1 (sent by brook).

I think I’m using 1.70 from the brook website.
Feels great in GT7. Perhaps a few degrees of empty FFB in ACC but I felt like this was more a trait of ACC console FFB.

I’ve rolled back to 1.7.0 and if using a gt3 the force feels normal and very good but is non existent with slower cars when going straight. I guess can’t have everything with the wheels that are not licensed/compatible
@loxkocapb I’ve not tried WRC. In ACC I think it works well. Though I’ve only tried the GT3 cars.
You could try and turn up the ‘strength’ setting on the adapter directly to see what effect that has. Also make sure you don’t have any dead zone set as that will likely leave a gap in the FFB.

I just got my r5 and adapter this week but I’ve been struggling to play acc gt7 seems to be fine. Great video I now realise I’ve been connecting the device wrongly. Anyone have a suggestions to help me set up acc?

Yeah I forgot to mention that. The shift light don’t work on PS5. But I don’t look at them anyway 👍🏻
I’ve seen few of these vids and most say that the forcefeedback is terrible, when using the Moza woth the adapter.
Are you saying the forcefeedback is good for you? If so, how good?
@@grahamkelly8662 The force feedback It's not good.... it's great as he mentioned on the video you can feel everything I have no complaints.
The rev lights only work on ACC on PC. I play LMU and Rennsport occasionally & the rev lights don't work on those 2 games either., until Moza recognises those 2 games in Pithouse.

Also, the bundle doesn’t come with loadcell . Can you add later? And is it poor before possibly upgrading?
I’m used to g29 so it will probably be much better in every way. I’m just anxious to buy in case it don’t work. Also only 5.5 NM worries me a bit as it’s quite low and if I feel like I need more in months, I’ll have to buy new setup. Although £500 sounds appealing for r5 bundle but maybe it’s worth paying £1200 odd and get 11NM Logitech and that will probably blow r5 out of the water.
If I could try r5 I’d know if it was enough in 1 race and it may actually be good to use for few years and get moneys worth from it.

Thanks for this video! Question: Am I able to use my G29 pedals with this wheel on ps5? I've modded my g29 pedals with an AXC TrueBrake and I'd like to keep using those.
I’m not entirely sure. It might be possible but it needs to be some way where the pedals plug into the Raslution 2 adapter via USB and supported.
Can I plug it into the back instead of the front of the ps5 without any issues as I have the slim version which only has the usb ports at the back. Or am I able to use a USB A to C adapter to connect it to the console.
I’ve bought a psvr 2 which should come in a few days, have you tried this setup with the vr headset?
I tried VR2 (borrowed for review) but that was back when I used a G29.

I use both the ES that came with the R5 and also the KS wheel with no problems. I can even change the wheel while driving and it works perfectly.

I think in F1 you can map buttons in the options menu, I've used it on F1 24 and it works great
I have my Moza R5 plugged into port 1 and my Thrustmaster T-lcm pedals plugged into port 2, as the SP lite pedals don't feel great to me.

This R5 and T-LCM combo works for PS5? I'm using the T300 RS GT and the T-LCM now and i only play GT7 with the PSVR2. What I really wanted to know is the R5 significantly better than the T300 for GT7.
@@kevinlei1969 I use R5 base & T-lcm pedals with Ras1ution 2 for GT7 only. I took some fiddling with the settings in the Moza phone app to get the best out of it. But imo, I think it's better than the T300.
I had the T300 before the Moza. I also play LMU and ACC on PC, which was the reason for getting Moza. But I don't have any loss of FFB because of overheating as the T300 does.
If you only play GT7, then I'd stay with the T300 or maybe upgrade to the TGT II.
Great Video, keep it up please, but why doesn't Moza just come out with a Direct Drive for Console? I believe they are cheeping out with this adaptor. I'd like to see you do a comparison video using Moza on PC and then with the adaptor on console, say 10 laps each to see your lap times.
Thanks man. MOZA are working on PlayStation compatibility. From what I understand it’s a lot of work to get approval etc.
So that means that the Ras1ution 2 Adapter works with any base that’s pc only correct? Like the podium bundle from fanatec.
Check the raslution 2 website for full comparability. If it’s listed. It should work 👍🏻
I’m currently using the same set up but i had to max out my ffb on the Ras1ution, Moza app and in game setting too. Its weak when i didnt max it all out.
Also there is like a small play on straight while im going fast like there isnt ffb until i make a small rotation on the wheel.
Is that normal?

For some reason, everything works except my steering wheel in the calibration controls starts off all the way to the left. I can’t steer the car at all. Do I need to do a firmware update on the actual device on a PC first?
When I’ve seen similar it’s because of a new firmware on the wheel base.
I think raslution will need to make an update to cover the latest FFB3.0 updates from MOZA.

It’s hard to say. A natively supported wheel is safer to buy for future comparability.
But with Fanatec financial situation even that presents a risk.

Hi Doughtinator have seen your video about moza setup i bought moza r3 bundle and brook Ras1ution 2 for ps5 gt7. When I connect brook it comes up as Logitech g29 on ps5 (perfectly fine) but under controller settings it shows the steering wheel is turned -450 degrees and if I then turn the steering wheel 3 millimeters to the other side it shows +450 degrees, that that is to say inside gt7 the car turns to one side after autopilot, so can't use moza r3 steering wheel on ps5 at all. Really hope you might know what I can do there
Hello! This happens with newer firmware updates on MOZA wheel bases. Due to FFB3.0 from MOZA.
If you contact raslution support and explain this problem they can provide a firmware for the adapter that works with this.
I have a beta version of this firmware and it fixes this problem. I think it’s version 1.8.X

I'm in trouble. I have R12 + FSR +CRP. The steering wheel does not center. Impossible to drive. The other buttons work well, but the steering wheel does not center. That's the point.
Do you mean centre with no force feedback or to able to drive straight?
I have been testing and the beta update for FFB3.0 does NOT work with the Raslution2 adapter.
If you’re using the Beta MOZA firmware you’ll need to roll back to released version firmware.
If it’s a lack of force feedback problem. Power everything off and follow the power up and plug in exactly as described in the video 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator I'm using the latest official firmware, not the beta. The steering wheel angle always varies around 448 degrees. It is not centralized. As I haven't been able to keep the car in a straight line yet, it's not possible to know what the forcefeedback is like. I've already centered it in the moza app, I've set it at 900 degrees, but in the GT7 nothing changes.

This is a problem with the wheel base firmware being new.

Make sure the adapter is plugged into the front of you PlayStation and don’t allow it to get too hot.
When I followed the plug in method detailed in this video mine has been perfect since.
Got mines working thank God I'm loving this direct drive so far everything is working perfectly 🤞

Has anyone tried this Moza with raslution2 on ps5 woth dirt rally, dirt rally 2 and Wrc 10? They are the games I play and I’m wondering if Moza and the Raslution2 on ps5 will work and give great forcefeedback on ps5?
Surely a Moza wheel will give much less quality forcefeedback because it’s on ps5 and not made for that?
From what I’ve gathered , the forcefeedback feels bad on ps5 but I just don’t know who to believe.
If this works great, I’d much rather buy Moza for ps5 rather then Logitech g pro.
I’ve not tested with those games but if G29 works then this should work too.
I’ve been trying to validate if anything is lost due to the adapter but I find it hard to tell. I can’t feel any input lag. The force feedback feels crisp and WAY better than G29 effects.

I just bought a dj controller for £1000 and it was disaster and disappointing. Been waiting for my best friend Amazon to pick it up so I can get my refund.

The LEDs don’t work on PlayStation either the adapter. I never looked at them when I was using it on PC anyway.

With the universal hub i was able to connect it to my pc
Now i want to switch to ps5 so my question is can I Connect only the moza ks wheel without the base but only with the universal hub ?

The only thing that comes to mind is Sony and fanatec licensing that is making thrustmaster hold off?? That being said with all that stuff happening with fanatec maybe that licensing will be terminated.

The buttons/controls disconnect happens on fanatec playstation wheels as well and their owners have had to pause and unpause to get it back working again must be a tad frustrating........I always found fanatec wheels for playstation to be too expensive and the games themselves as good as they are dont justify a £1300 layout just for the wheel and another £300+ for pedals to pay a buggy game that cost £20 on a £400 PS5 something seems a bit off with that, moza seems to be more in the correct price range to me.....

@@telmo2430 Tidney doesn't have the extreme pro as far as I'm aware and his review videos show Rory has the extreme pro I believe but they both seem to have the same problems, I remember connection issues being a problem with the QR1 as well.....but its likely a software or handshake issue due to pausing and unpausing the game fixing it

I already bought moza R5 + res1 2 but got centre wheel issues -400++ . I try to updated res1 1.8 beta and its work but no FBB . Already try all firmware 1.5 - 1.7 still not settle centre issues on gt7😢
After you updated your firmware 1.8 did you power EVERYTHING off and re connect everything as shown in the video?

using raslution 2 with r9 for a year, its not that good as this guy tells here. actually its not better than my old thrustmaster t300 in terms of ffb quality and ffb a bit slow (latency?).
I also tried to use raslutin 2 with ACC on ps5 and PC. FFB is much better on PC (native support), like night and day. I spent a lot of time trying to tweak settgins, but got nothing close to PC version of ACC.
If your main platform is ps5 better get a fanatec dd or wait for moza base/wheel with native playstation support.
I have the T300 with a T-LCM and contemplate and upgrade to the R5. Have your try his setting and are your on the latest firmware? I really would like to know if the R5 would give better force feedback than the T300
@@kevinlei1969 hi, my Raslution2 have the latest firmware at the moment. I cant say that my r9 is superior to my old t300 on gt7 in terms of ffb quality. On pc in asseto corsa and acc its much much better. So if you are on pc it's definitely worth to upgrade to r5. If you play only on ps i strictly recommend to test r5 + Raslution2 yourself before buying. Otherwise it may not worth the money.
It’s hard for me to compare to a T300. My comparison is to G29 👍🏻

I’d recommend to power everything off and power up and reconnect everything exactly as described in the video. Should work then.
