Electric Scooter Smackdown: Which One Wins the Battle? Splach Titan vs Apollo Ghost
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- In this video, I compare two electric scooters, the Splash Titan and the Apollo Ghost, and test their acceleration, ride comfort, maneuverability, and off-road capability. Both scooters have 1000W motors or bigger, are 52 volts, and have different types of brakes and tire sizes. The Splash Titan has larger off-road tires, while the Apollo Ghost has more street-oriented tires. I test both scooters on steep hills, trestle bridges, and in different terrains, and compare their performance, ride quality, and handling. Ultimately, both scooters have their strengths and weaknesses, with the Splash Titan being better for off-road use and better lighting while the Apollo Ghost has a more compact deck design. Special thank you to Jamie for helping with the filming :)

I just got the Ghost a few days ago, smoothest scooter I’ve ever rode out of like 42 different ones I’ve tried. And that’s including the throttle, suspension, and breaks. Everything can be used very gradually and I have a lot of control over the scooter. Definitely on my top favorites list.
Awesome @Frostorm777, love the Ghost :) :)
The handlebar on the Titan is very practical. Easy to mount lights and other accessories.
you're right! awesome observation :)
Something you probably didn't know there's also a cruise control on the splach that you have to enable in the p settings plus much more settings in the p settings on the splach. Also for maximum speed on the splash make sure it's on gear 3 while using dual motors.
thanks so much for the info...will check out the P settings for sure :) cheers :)
Great review Tim. Thanks for posting, and keep them coming.
Cheers Bryan...you'll have to tell me in a week or two which one you'd choose :) :) :)
Excited for this!
Cheers Eric...it was a blast to film :)
The pings are annoying af...
good to know...trying new things :)
Just turn it down a bit. Idea is sound. Pun intended.
Great comparison! Answered a lot questions. Would've pick the Titan, but it would be nice to see its shape after a few hundreds of miles.
Awesome idea @yordannedelchev8797, maybe a follow up later this year :)
great comparison Tim! Yes, a video with Jamie on a door dash day would be excellent! there's a UA-cam channel here in sounthern California called Electric Scooter Academy and that's mostly what he posts! His channel is pretty big!
thanks Tone, yes indeed Yogi Steve...I've spoken with him through IG...seems like an awesome dude :)
Def wanna see this when i awaken from my sleep (love the splach tho its fast)
so quick :) :)
best video how to tighten the breaks? I have the same scooter
That might be a good video idea for e-scooter users or e-biker users on how to tighten the breaks or do some small un-harmful changes to have easier access for things. Or modifying your scooters/bikes with cool accessories.
@@hairtrigger6555 awesome ideas :) :) will ponder :) :) maybe a few shorts to help :) thank you :)
Good video and ill go with the Titan for sure 😀
glad it was helpful Trini :)
the apollo ghost has been around and have good parts replacement support for long term care. Always think of repairability and customer service. I have owned the Ghost, City Pro and Exlore for that reason that they support repair and tons of video on maintenance and repair on youtube. It may not be the fastest but it will last long and i can repair it.
Awesome @mlrealestateinvestments2106, thanks for sharing your opinion :)
Yes you’re right. Post sales support from Apollo is great & important customer appreciation +.👍👍🤩🇨🇦
Should compare customer service, spare parts, delivery times, etc
Awesome idea @JoeyCbr
@@TimsElectric I recently purchased the Splache but waiting for them to restock in Hongkong, to ship to UK. The wait is for the most popular (Jade) colour choice though.
hope you love it :) Cheers
I used to have titan splach. Loved the lighting , It was amazing off-roading , but I always thought high speed handling was a bit off , sold it and bought a ghost and what a difference . Better climber , smoother throttle , and rides like you're standing on a cloud . I owned a Apollo phantom V2 as well , but handling and ride quality , nothing so far comes close to ghost
the Ghost was awesome @vicsaggu, glad you're still enjoying it :)
I saw the Phantom V3 is getting close to coming out :)
I just wanted to say that I’ve owned a Ninebot Max G30 for a few months now and I was wondering if I should get something faster with suspension too handle the streets around me. Just pre ordered the Splach Titan 10” inch Jade needed something with power at an amazing deal. Thanks for helping me decide with your videos now I’m gonna be a doordasher as well 👍
Can you let me know how it works out...if you make good money etc? I think you're going to like the suspension :)
@@TimsElectric Well of course I will! I’ll let you know how it goes in July :)
awesome :) :)
Why didn't you talk about the price? Given both have similar specs and ride feel.
Awesome question @williamko4751, the reason being that I've found over the years that different stores, Amazon, distributors etc seem to offer different prices, free shipping sometimes, other add ons etc, so to keep it consistent across all my videos I don't mention pricing at all...but good point that they're very similar pricing :)
For that splash (orginaly Hiley Tiger 9): I dont know why that company puted that skinny tyres on it. They re cheap. Orginaly hiley comes with 10x3 street sport tyres from tuovt company. And did you put N-Soft option for full power? Also the shocks can be make softer/harder - so we can not know whos shocks was the best.
I think the street tires would be more useful for me...but I guess for the trails :) Sorry I don't know what you mean by N-Soft...I didn't adjust the shocks...I found them comfy :)
@@TimsElectric In display options is a setting wich enables/disables N-Soft. If this letter is lighted in display then off. (No-Soft). With the street tyres its perfect. Also this scooter is perfect on crashes/accidents. The best steering columb ever seen in our workshop. One of the lots wich has crashed and even into a tree has 6k milles and without any movements. So this scooter base is the most recommended in our workshop. Marry Christmass.
thank you so much :) :) :) Merry Christmas to you too :)
Please can u review the Kugo Kirin g3 pro, seems to have a lot of features that include 2 x 1200w motors, hydraulic brakes and a removable battery which is very similar to what you are riding in this video. As always love the reviews 😊
I would like a video on how Jamie does doordash on scooters. I'm curious how he carries the food while riding
Me too Eric...I think I need to do a full review of how to do it ...behind the scenes...equipment , pro tips...the works...coming very soon :) Cheers
thanks so much Joseph, I'll reach out to them and see if I can get a review unit to review :) Cheers
@@TimsElectric thank you I really hope you get to review and ride it, there isn’t a lot of reviewers out there that will test hill climbs on up and coming scooters. It seems to be an overlooked aspect when reviewing them.
@@TheeUnknown_OG I need to put it up the hill of death with my big butt on it :) :)
Tim what about long term reliability?
Awesome question...I did a video after 300 Miles on some recent scooters...but I guess time will tell :) I'll do some videos after 1000 miles once I get there :)
Are u canadian. I am is splash canadian ? Or does it take months to receive
I am Canadian :)
and yes the Splach are sold locally :)
Link below the video :)
If the unit you want is in stock then you should be golden :)
But do ask them :)
@@TimsElectric your amazing as always sir
@@KingK1. you're very kind...I'll let it get to my head...not :)
@@TimsElectric should cuz u are. If it wasnt for you i wouldnt be in this amazing, tome saving money saving investment. I havnt use a car in years xD
I do have a car..but honestly from March to September it rarely get's used as the scooters are so much easier for getting around the city :) Awesome to hear :)
how tall are you
185cm about 6'
Ive heard splach doesnt hold up over time and people only bought them because of paid reviews
I haven't had an issue @thomasK411
@TimsElectric okay well maybe it was isolated. Hey are you gonna review the dualtron thunder 3? That's my next purchase it looks amazing
The splash is faster due to more watts in the engines so on the top speed section is false
Interesting...you have both?
may be faster but not reliable, it brakes with in 3 months (Light use) also warranty is not a thing, they ignore you until your warranty is up plus you have to pay 200 bucks extra for shipping.
The ghost is 4 years old and just a rebrand.
I don't think they sell it anymore...but this is an older video :) @mikehagquist5198, thanks for watching :)
I liked the Splach until I found out its Canadian 😂😂
lol @dpl2617, are you in the USA?
@@TimsElectric Yes indeed, can't say I'm very proud of that at the moment either.
Definitely have a Splach in my near future...
@@dpl2617 it's an awesome unit and I'm sure my American cousins will love it :)
THE PINGS ARE VERY BAD Same as loud bells🔔!!!🤡👎
IRRITATING. Couldn't watch video at all.
oh well...sorry to hear ...I tried something new :(
No worries . Watching it second time wasn’t bad Thx
