I love the unfiltered nature of this channel. Love Phil's presence as well. Great to see them being natural without worrying about demonetization
"Focus you fuck!" was hilarious.
@@drags666 AVE 🤣
I agree, so much fun being had here!
@@nbrowser I look forward to more videos like this with Jay and Phil
UA-cam : What do you want ?
me : Computer but also cars
UA-cam : Ever heard of Jay ?
I was waiting for a "I like boats" after that Jay's playing WoW...
yeah was totally expecting him to end it with "I LIKE BOATS!!!"
This ^
Phil is actually hilarious and fun , love this Channel unfilter
saw you riding down foothill its good to see the old mk3 golf come back phil. now we just have to bring back the hats meets
The Hat is where it’s at.
To help you decide, ask phil to photoshop the rimtires combos on the car... it helped a friend of mine decide on his M4
Tirerack does it for you ;p
That's how we did it back in the day, now you can just go to a website and, voila! :D
"We're never ever going to open this door unless we have a pallet delivery or something, so much wasted AC"
>leaves the door open the WHOLE video
they probably turned of the ac.
It wasn’t hot bro... who said the AC was even on?
@@Jayztwocents you sneaky b...oy! You replied from pc channel account and nobody noticed that unless got in...
EDIT: or at least me...
Mariusz Chrobak your right he sneakily replied XD
@@MariuszChr He uses that account to like his own videos
Hell yeah brother, love the VR6
Phil don´t be lazy. The sunroof is a godsent. You have to do two things.
First, clear the drainports. As you said water kept sloshing arround up there. Best sign for that.
Second, new rubber gaskets, one arround the glas itself and the second beeing the rubber underneath. The gaskets will set you back ~ 20€
With a handy set of hands, that is a 3-4 h job.
The main thing are the drainports. EVERY sunroof leaks. but it leaks in designed spots which lead to the, you guessed it, the drainports.
Here is the how to drain :
www.golf4.de/werkstatt/126898-anleitung-schiebedachablaeufe-vorne-erneuern-ohne-vw-teile-ewig-haltbar.html
thanks for the info, however i know how to replace all of the sunroof stuff and i did back in 2008 when i said "fuck this sunroof", but i've been lazy for 12 years so i'll continue being lazy LOL
i'll do the sunroof whenever the car finally gets a proper paint job since i'm gonna have to remove it anyway, along with a new headliner
Probably my single favorite channel on UA-cam right here! You get PC and tech stuff, car stuff, and good-natured humor and authenticity--literally my favorite combo ever lol.
Jay, the king of using cheap solutions to fixing problems in the tech space, and now in the car space. Making car shops and Louis Rossmann cry, lol. Its like the Titan repair video all over again, haha
Just found this channel! love the 67.
I love that you mentioned the importance of undercarriage and chassis upgrades before horsepower upgrades. Massive difference noticed doing it this way. Most kids don’t and wonder why they don’t feel the horsepower increases like they should. You sir obviously know your stuff.
Omg that RX7 clip. We used to pass that around on bloody CDR, in the before youtube time. You are a blessed editor. Thank you.
"We only hire the finest idiots" 🤔 maybe I have a chance 😂
We have a chance! 🥲
That's the right Golf Phil. Nice one!
When Phil said when were you born 1910 I was laughing my ass off
13:27 *AvE has entered the chat*
was just about to comment the same
yessss!!! phill is 10x cooler now
**FOCUS YOU FACK**
The best part of of the Jay & Phil partnership is the reactions you guys have to each other with the random shit you say
I love your main channel but this car channel is really helping me aleviate some of my boredom.
Surprised to hear Phil swear “focus you fuck” killed me😂😂
Really enjoying these videos. Unfiltered Jay and Phil is awesome.
really like where this channel is going with the pure nature from both of you :)
been watching your tech channel for a long time. and as a huge car nerd with two projects. i love it.
Really like this channel, feels so much more natural
Been watching your PC vids for years...Just found this channel. Glad to support anyway I can bro. Keep up the great work and thanks so much for all your content
I worked with a transmission guy long time ago and he worked for the California Highway Patrol, a long time before that, and he said that it was a tactic of the CHP, on long stretch highways, like between L.A. and Las Vegas, that when they saw speeders going in the opposite direction, the only way to slow down, turn around and then try to catch them, would be to slam it into reverse and floor it, in order to slow down faster than you have ever slowed down in your life. The part about flooring it is absolutely crucial, because you need to break your tires loose and get them "burn out" in reverse. He said that each transmission has two of these maneuvers in them and needs to be rebuilt after the second. Have not tried it myself but Jay seems to have been one step of the way from trying himself.
Phil. as an absolute VW fanboy, I AM PROUD IF YOU!
My absolute two favourite nerds and geeks. Don't ever split up and go separate ways you guys; seriously, it would break my heart!
This series is easily becoming my new favourite series on UA-cam. I cant wait to watch and see how it turns out.
I really like Phil, he seems like a friend that we would all love to have. This is great content guys!
I love the sound of a VR6, nice car Phil!
This model is a classic one of my favourites !!!
I see your World of Warships Anchors Away shirt good sir!! Excellent, got mine at the USS New Jersey Anchors Away - Hope you had a good time at yours
it was super fun, wasn't the first time i'd been to the USS Iowa but it was cool talking shop w/ jay and the other ship / WoWS fans there. i'm not super into the game or boats but i do appreciate all machinery, and she's still an awe-inspiring machine to go look at and touch.
Ours was from USS Iowa
@@frickingphil Truly amazing pieces of engineering and hefty machinery - for a ship of that size/ weight to travel so fast
Damn Jay. Bought my 6th Gen Camaro 2SS just before you got your ZL1. Last year I sold my old 02 Monte Carlo SS that was red and painted black and I also owned a 2002 Camaro SS 35th Limited Edition F-Body. About 3 months ago I bought a 3rd Gen 1986 Iroc Z28 as my project car after watching Matt's (Lethal Garage) channel. The amount of stuff we enjoy in common is crazy. Glad to see you resurrected this channel with more car content. Maybe next year I'll bring my Camaro to the west coast and perhaps see you and Lethal at CamaroCon. You, Lethal and Motorfire are the 3 UA-camrs that I've always hoped to meet in person one day.
I'm feeling this. Mini-tub, 18's, 305-315 out back, 275 up front. I never understood the Foose style of 22's on an old muscle car but I think 18's look amazing. My '04 Cobra still has 17s, only because it's very hard for me to pay the money for good lightweight wheels. Cheap.
Shaved drip rails is an awesome call. Shaved the rails on 67 turned out awesome.
Phil needs a raise in every way and form 🤣
Love this channel!! We need more Phil!
Earned a sub for the golf
3.2l VR6 swapping my 03 Jetta this week. Absolutely love the vr6's. They'll run forever as long as you keep oil in em
Been also following Jay's car channel for years now! Glad to see the new content and some old school muscle to boot! I have found trying to get computer noob dudes to understand computer parts and building...if I relate it to car parts then they understand better.
Jay, I think you are my favorite youtuber. I went to school for Cyber Security so i'm into technology and computers. But my other passion is cars, and you are very knowledgable about both. Very impressed and glad I found someone that enjoys the same hobbies as me. Keep up the good work!
Big fan for years and I work in a body shop, I am so happy to hear you'll be doing everything properly
Easily my favorite jayztwocents video to date 😂
Haha, very cool glad to see you two getting back to life as normal and loving all the content...
i love phil even more. my daily driver is a 95 golf 4 door celebration edition that i VR6 swapped a few years ago
Loving the new channel so far Jay, REALLY loving that you guys use "my type of language" if you will lol
Just found this channel yesterday...didn’t even know Jay was a car guy! Subbed
I would absolutely love a video on the details of flaring and reliefs cuts for your fenders. I had no idea this was an option and would love to do it on my car. Thanks Jay!
I have a red Mk3 VR6 golf GTI from 1998! Nice car!
Love the main channel, but I've also added this to my list of favorite car channels because I'm a car guy and tech nerd.
@phil, I had the exact same car in Purple. I'm driving a Tesla now, but that Golf was one of the most fun cars I ever drove!
idk, I got yo back Jay. I knew them as "drawers" when I was a kid too. lol
Same
Oh my god, the big cheesy grins when, "Told you it was an important errand!", total gold.
Literally just watching the first two vids on the Camaro, refreshed the page and.... More content. :D
It's time to get Nick (Coconut Monkey) to help you. I miss him on the channel
I miss him too
We miss Nick !! I wonder if that three idiots will cause more chaos than ever be seen in the channel !
Was just about to post the same.
Same. I do miss seeing Nick on the channels.
the best of both worlds. Half the warehouse is PC building stuff, the other half is garage :D the dream right here
Love the car channel Jay. Some food for thoughts for selecting wheels, besides the obvious make sure you like the design. You want to make sure you have the correct offset, because you don't want the wheels too sunken in where it could hits the suspension parts and you don't want them to poke to much causing drag. Unless your widening the fenders, if you are keep that in mind too, best to avoid spacers. Also if you plan on upgrading the brakes (caliper) make sure the wheel will clear the bigger brakes. Good luck Sir!
really enjoyed this video.... man that was entirely way too much fun.
Phill got a vr6, mad respect
Had a 99 mk 3 Ibiza Cupra. Still one of my fav cars. Miss it soooo sooo much
Same body, Spanish made. Had a very very nice motor in it. Made it run 300hp’s at the wheels. Non turbs
a fricken mk3 on bags AND it has TE37's! im in love
I just found your channel its great! Also you're living my dream working with pc's and cars its dope man.
Time to roll those fenders Jay!!!
This video is giving me flashbacks of working on my old VW. There are so many weird connectors on these things!
Jerry: "I fixed the paint on my car with a can of spray paint lol"
Jay: "Hold my beer"
I have nylon coated wheel sockets, theyre amazing everyone should have a set. Im also a 5 time concourse winning detailer, and a sharpie is a detailers emergency best friend. the amount of times man, also black nail polish works amazing for a quick stone chip touchup.
Good on ya Phil! VR6's are brilliant engines, they sound amazing and have a good amount of pull at all rev ranges. I miss my old VR6 Golf :(
mooooooore. I love the OG channel but this. this is the true masterpiece lads. Can't wait to see how it all ends up!
next live everyone will spam R in the chat. dude I wish that was recorded :D
Use SEM trim black paint and when you spray the chrome pieces it will look and hold up like an oem black trim piece, I used it for all my 91 mustang and it turned out amazing.
Love these kind of videos. Looking forward to the next one
hey Jay! I think you would like the tire layout that you were talking about! having like 215 or 245 on the front and a 275 or 305 in the rear on 15's. On my 71 challenger I have mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T 235/60/R15 on the fronts and mickey thompson ET Street drag radial 275/60/R15 on the rears and I gotta say, the stance and appearance are badass hands down
You know, there's nothing I love more than cars and computers, definitely my most watched channel topics on UA-cam. +1 sub, Super excited to see how the camaro works out
That would make a great road/touring car!!
Dynacorn makes everything you could need when it comes to the bodywork. Also, you should get Mr. Vengeance Streetfighter kit to fit the future wheels.
I have all BMR suspension I think it’s some of the most solid suspension out there I have a UPR k member and tubular control arms in the front doesn’t seem as well-built as bmr if they made a k member for my car I would’ve got that to but on car adjustable upper and lower control arms in the rear with bracing can’t beat how good they are
Oh yeah farmer's boys is awesome, getting french toast through a drive through

Phil, I love you and your AVE reference! ‘Focus you F**k!’ Love it.
This was so good! And dang informative too! I actually didn't know there wasn't a lockout for reverse then, then again I never knew when it started haha.
"Focus you FUCK" I felt that Phil, I felt that.
Phil seems like a fun dude
15:33 ... *raises hand as a member of said club who also owns a VW...*
Have had a 2010 Touran with the glorious 1.9tdi for 4 years and have had zero problems. I will stick with diesel VAGs unless they stab me in the back.
Damn that Golf looking slick
No, it looks like golf with decent rims
Took me 3 months to choose my wheels.. But they matched perfectly to what I wanted lol 20 inch crusier alloy 908mb on my 98 ext. Cab black and chrome trimmed Silverado 😁
Agreed with blacked out grill jay.
Fresh Prince throw back ... "Drawers!"
Also, at 6:45 if Phil's seat was any further forward ... he'd be driving from the engine bay!
13:00 Phil demonetizes the video.
22:05 Jay drives dangerously.
i'm 5 foot 2 and i'd drive from the engine bay if i could, the cabin is just unnecessary weight LOL
Jay - I saw a jaystwocars video for the first time the day before yesterday and was surprised that I hadn't heard you mention the cars channel on the cents channel and I was going to suggest that you mention the cars channel on the cents channel but decided that you wouldn't read my comment andwouldmentionit eventually. Then yesterday you mentioned it and now the cars channel has gained 10k subs overnight! Boom!
For the wheel situation hit up fitment industries. Old muscle looks amazing with 5 or 6 spoke wheels and to de-chrome you could go with a bronze wheel like Enkei T6S, Cosmis Racing S1, or the factory reproduction Z10 IROC-Z Camaro replicas. personally I like the smaller size wheel with the meaty tire giving it the drag look and also added insurance of not accidentally curbing your wheel.
Phil is Da Man!
Omg I died when you messed with the chin spoiler it looks so good stationary lol
PhilzOneCar 15:05. AMPS. They're like the PSU of stereo systems. Gotta love how long they last as long as you get a good one and don't do stupid shit with your volume. I still have my infinity reference series amp from like 2007. I never thought of mounting a sub inverted. That's actually pretty damn smart but then again I drove an 87 190E 2.3 back in 2007 and I didn't wanna cut any holes in the trunk. Not to mention the plastic in the car was pretty brittle to begin with.
You make me want to install a system in a car. I just don't know if I wanna do it with my current car. I already get butt hurt over a clear coat scratch I got from a cardboard box the other day.
i really like that VR6 golf
I like how Jay said we never gonna use that door, uses as a garage now lol!
Although I agree with your logic of doing the bodywork last, you could tell if the rear quarters have been body-filled by knocking on the panels by hand or by using a weak fridge magnet.
Also looking at the inside of the quarters from the "trunk" is usually a give-away. Many people also feel the blind spots inside for welds as replacement quarters are also common on early Camaros.
Jay has 245 on the Camaro and it looks big. I have 285s on my truck and they look tiny
There are hubrings that will make the wheel center on the hub pilot like it should. Also, for stud conversions you are supposed to use the blue locktight so they dont come out when you take off the lugnuts....
That shift lockout thing was still a thing in 86 too in Camaros, I found that out the same way you did in the 67...
_Bushes are green things that flowers grow on here_
