Though Metro eases traffic from KR puram to Whitefield, the narrow roads in the respective areas are always gonna be trouble. People should stop parking vehicles on the road. The recent non signalling traffic management was very good at ITPL.

Nice video. But a slight correction. Not just Bangalore, almost every major and developing city in India is synonymous with traffic. Besides, the garden city was not always synonymous with traffic. Only the real Bangaloreans will acknowledge this.
What a planning and priority by BMRCL not connecting Byappana Halli to KR Puram. But KR Puram to Whitefield would be ready first. They should have put all resources for continuous connectivity rather than disjoint line.
No no.. They don't mean that. They want us to wait for a long time so they're opening the one. And at Web grinder will definitely take some time to be constructed.
Haha, but why did i predict the yellow line would still take another 2 years to complete? Let's hope for the best. I cant wait to see the finished yellow line and the flyover
BMRCL apart, It is a delight to listen to the accurate pronunciation and diction of Kannada words by the journalist. Hope Kannada News channels take a cue.
Somehow the Namma Metro completion is indirectly dependent on the percentage of sale of apartments which dot along the route... say for e.g:- RV Road to Bommansandra via Silk board has all top builders (OZONE, PRESTIGE, SALARPURIA SATTVA ... to name a few). It seems the rate of apartment sales reduces then the metro line which ever colour (green, purple, yellow.. etc) work delay occurs with no reason. We can build a mathematical model... and validate a correlation. The Namma Metro actually works for REAL ESTATE CZARS not for Tax Payers.
Not really -- First phase came from BAIRAPPANAHALLI TO PEENYA which is having least apartment - It connected Industrial area . We citizens are ready to pay anything if Metro comes and that is being uncashed -- Its free market economy -- The moment purchasing power drops , which is happening now , metro or no metro sale will not take place. Only 2 crore and above apartments sale happens which is 100 % black money market
As i was watching it, i was like, the map overlay on the line seems wrongs but lets get through with it. Then when they showcased silkboard's like, i instantly recognised that the map overlay is completely wrong. Here i was sitting and questioning my knowledge of bangalore roads when i travelled through them for 4 years to my college
These metro works should have got completed 5years ago, BMRCL should have parallelly started Yellow and green lines during 2007 first metro project start to ease up traffic we are seeing today.
BMRCL record has been that not a single phase of a single line has been completed on time and within cost estimate. Further last mile connectivity and parking at key stations leave lot to be desired. Airport metro construction is only starting 14 years after the new airport was opened 40-45 kms from City centre and end date is anyones guess while taxis do brisk business by burning fumes and costly imported fuel. Even after completion of airport metro, majority of flyers have to hop 2-3 lines with luggage to reach airport. That does not prevent BMRCL to launch turf wars in trying to object any other transport modes or entities. Citizens of Bengaluru have to take what little they can get while suffering daily in the roads. Hope elections and corruption money will incentivise completion of phases and lines. Sadly, the city has become world famous for traffic jams and endless wait in roads in commuting.
The same thing, too, in the City of Manila, the Traffic Jams are also the Problem, but Hopefully, we Don't have to endure that Traffic thanks to the 2027 Completion of Both PNR-NSCR in all 3 Phases, and Metro Manila Subway Phase 1, and another Solution makes the City Walkable because Car-Centric City is Starting to be No Longer Feasible, and Option this decade, due to the Growing Population, Hoping this 2 Projects will not be Delayed like in Bangalore Metro, and Stick to the December 2027 Deadline, and Mid-Year 2028 Deadliest Deadline.

Wider roads at heavy traffic points and direct flyovers are needed in the heavy traffic areas .Imagine a direct flyover from silk board to marathalli or marathalli to Whitefield or kormangala to bellandur etc similar to the electronic city flyover. This would drastically reduce point to point traffic
Unfortunately widening roads will not reduce traffic. As when you widen a road...more people start using cars meaning again you get traffic. Only way to reduce traffic is public transportation !!! & building good walking/cycling infra (so that people dont use cars for short distances) The issue with cars is that they take up too much space. just think about the number of people in a bus compared to even few cars. If you want to widen roads...then they should be dedicated to buses/trams.
Well my high school Life will end in 1 month I hoped if the metro line were ready before as i have to travel 1:30 hours from my Home to school it sometimes become frustrating to get stuck in the traffic and give a lame excuse to teacher 😂
I wish i never have to go to office again. Happy with my wfh despite living in Bangalore, i never go during morning nd evening time as i live near kr puram and i know the situation.
To be honest , metro is not going to solve the bengaluru traffic, there has been many studies done on the this subject, as many people will prefer the mode of metro , this will not directly imply decrease in road traffic, as the numbers of vehicles on road is always on the rise, a good example is New Delhi, and Mumbai . Path to less traffic pollution is a combination of better pedestrian lanes, bicycle lanes , and OfCourse public transport system . People should be encourage to walk over shorter distance rather than take rides but this will require as mentioned people friendly lane/roads.
Trams? Why? With the kind of lane discipline that Bangalore drivers have, a tram will not be very different from an articulated bus. Trams will get stuck in traffic and thus lose their advantage over buses. Better have a grade-separated metro, and bicycle paths on bollarded footpaths leading to it.
All the transportation planning for the convenience of JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Indiranagar and MG road.. BMRCL ensured that Whitefield metro is delayed connectivity with Byappanahalli busy constructing on Kengeri and Kanakpura road to help some real estate mafia selling their properties.
Bruh.. You have gone too far. Byappanahalli phrase is delayed because they are constructing Silk board corridor bridge right next to the Metro bridge and They're also constructing the metro above the tin factory - hebbal flyover.
Half the problem is because various contractors selected went "bankrupt" half-way through the construction, for example "Simplex Infra" is prime cause for half of problems in Bangalore: 1. They delayed the on-going lines as even the BMRCL head says. 2. They were winners of tender for Phase 2 line from SilkBoard to KR Puram. After winning they went bankrupt, so re-tendering was required and pandemic came in middle. 3. They are the contractor for that Ejipura flyover and went bankrupt half way through construction that too AFTER delaying it.

Nope. Traffic in the old city has come down drastically since the current lines opened up. Buses are empty now, that's the proof. Whitefield and Electronic city being connected to the rest of the city will obviously bring down the private vehicles and cabs being used. Traffic can be reduced by atleast 35 to 40% when its all operational.
That's OK. It's the politicians who fix impractical deadlines for political gain. We can also use a multiplication factor to arrive at a realistic deadline. We aren't stupid .
The city is badly planned. Cannot provide walking connectivity to stations. People will still prefer own vehicles due to lack of footpath or bus connectivity. This city is doomed to fail

Tears in my eyes. This would not be possible without Rahulji who was instrumental in designing the train and route. He woke up all night during the day. Vadraji was also very gracious to donate all the land he earned with his hard work.
Who?
You chamchas will keep sucking upto Rahul Gandhi but it is our dear Modiji who toiled so hard to get this metro built. Modi ji himself monitored the progress taking time out of his busy schedule of self promotion and I would say he even engineered the solution whenever engineers were facing problems.
😂😂😂
Aree bhai comedy kar diye tum to
you forgot mataji and didiji's contribution.....they toiled hard to prepare chai and pakoras for rahulji and jijaji when they were digging land, laying tracks, welding coaches....
The March 2023 deadline was the first that wasn’t extended. The line to white field just got tested and will be open to ride soon in a few days. I hope this positive trend continues. I am optimistic about this.
For those thinking about the accuracy of the map overlay
Green line:
Nagasandra shown in GAIL Marathahalli roughly 32km apart
BIEC shown in Banaswadi roughly roughly 25km apart
Yellow line:
RV Road shown in SMVT Bengaluru station roughly 14km apart
Bommasandra shown in Varthur roughly 23km apart
Purple line
Baiyappanahalli shown in Commando hospital roughly 6km apart
Whitefield is suprisingly accurate
It goes without saying that the intermediate stations and the line overlays are highly inaccurate
Not usually expected of a news reporting
Though Metro eases traffic from KR puram to Whitefield, the narrow roads in the respective areas are always gonna be trouble. People should stop parking vehicles on the road. The recent non signalling traffic management was very good at ITPL.
Bengaluru is not just meant for traffic; it is also synonym of staggered development of civic infrastructure.
Road widening work should be done too where possible with proper lane markings.
Banglore roads are very wide already. But the number of people is insane
They should add more cycling lanes and bus only lanes instead of widening lanes for cars.
we need more public transportation. Cars take up too much space. So no matter how wide you build a road eventually it will get clogged. 1 bus can handle 30-50 times more people then a few cars.
You can look at US as an Eg. They have lesser population density in their cities & very very wide roads. Yet even they get terrible traffic.
more roads wont change shit... public transit is the future
More Lanes never solves the problem the traffic, in fact it can become a leading cause to it. See all the available examples worldwide, from LA or in China
Congratulations to Metro Management in Spite of Lot Difficulties in Doing the Job.
Disjoint line is better than no line.
Haha, but why did i predict the yellow line would still take another 2 years to complete?
Let's hope for the best. I cant wait to see the finished yellow line and the flyover
There is a correction in ur yellow line stops
Electronic City is much much needed
BMRCL apart, It is a delight to listen to the accurate pronunciation and diction of Kannada words by the journalist. Hope Kannada News channels take a cue.
Good information & good going. Our BMRCL should extend its network till HOSUR. This will ease traffic & help the commuters plying on this route.
joke of the decade , 🤣🤣 it will never happen
Use of Electric cycle will reduce the lot of traffic and increase the health and fitness. It can also be used to connect to metro stations
Not sure why all the projects goes to Simplex contractor. There have been so many issues with other projects in the past.
we need more metro like Hyderabad
Hyderabad is baby metro..
Metro??? Like Hyderabad?? Bangalore will get spoilt if we use such metro...
You mean Delhi
@@erenyaeger9407 Bruhhh. Delhi is the capital of the country...

waiting for mumbai metro😭😭
Bangalore people vote for hindu muslim that's why they have these politicians.
@@anujsethi7845 lol, tell me which part if the country(rather world) has good politicians

Need if the hour. Once all the metro lines are completed, the government needs to put a restriction on all private vehicles.
Hope after opening these lines traffic will ease in major roads of the city...
BMRCL is not thinking to connect the city with the airport - unfortunate
In Bangalore, airport and metro does not build as per demand, it is built in areas where the politicians hold lands. Eh kanakpura has very low population but it has metro connectivity, but not Bannerghatta road or ORR.
Proves how much corruption is there in Bangalore (which city is also know for)
What about north? Hennur Road or Airport road or Hebbal???
In kr puram 2 days back station is named it was KR PURAM . Krishna rajapuram .Now they have changed the name like KR PURA don't know why ..
The video Description is good. But the imagery used in the video should have improved. There are key mistakes, ex, Bommanahalli Metro Station is named as Tin Factory. Atleast the use of map to display metro routes should have been correct.
Nagasandra to BIEC Metro this year also doubtful.
Does anyone have any information on metro line expansion from Kengeri to Bidadi..is it in pipeline or they have cancelled the expansion plan?
The plan is there, but will take atleast 5-10 years
There is something called Suburban Rail. Educate yourselves about that.
@@amithpallavoor true lol
Wider roads at heavy traffic points and direct flyovers are needed in the heavy traffic areas .Imagine a direct flyover from silk board to marathalli or marathalli to Whitefield or kormangala to bellandur etc similar to the electronic city flyover. This would drastically reduce point to point traffic
Unfortunately widening roads will not reduce traffic. As when you widen a road...more people start using cars meaning again you get traffic.
Only way to reduce traffic is public transportation !!! & building good walking/cycling infra (so that people dont use cars for short distances)
The issue with cars is that they take up too much space. just think about the number of people in a bus compared to even few cars.
If you want to widen roads...then they should be dedicated to buses/trams.
Wider roads do not solve anything. You need cycling/pedestrian infrastructure instead of more car infrastructure to reduce travel times
Bengaluru needs trams.
@@PK-tt5kk stop spreading this brainless communist propaganda, wider roads are much needed in 2 lane city Bangalore.
The wider the road the wider the traffic, more flyovers again more traffic
When will they think about Sarjapur route too 😰 specially any route that connects kadubesanahalli to Sarjapur that's also worst traffic zone
Yellow line will be game changer
To be honest , metro is not going to solve the bengaluru traffic, there has been many studies done on the this subject, as many people will prefer the mode of metro , this will not directly imply decrease in road traffic, as the numbers of vehicles on road is always on the rise, a good example is New Delhi, and Mumbai . Path to less traffic pollution is a combination of better pedestrian lanes, bicycle lanes , and OfCourse public transport system . People should be encourage to walk over shorter distance rather than take rides but this will require as mentioned people friendly lane/roads.
Doesn't matter. At least people now have a way to get to their destination without caring about traffic.
When single person travelling in SUVs take up metro for office.Traffic will automatically reduce.

Oh bhai, phele itna toh ane do.

Tunnel boring is 70% over. And is expected to be completed by August 2023. The entire line is scheduled to be operational on December 2024.
It's 2024 now still only 2lines
And how many pillars to fall down in this year
When will challghatta station open
When is expected to bo operational blue line to kempegowda international airport ?
Good job
Now introduce congestion pricing and build trams!
Trams? Why? With the kind of lane discipline that Bangalore drivers have, a tram will not be very different from an articulated bus. Trams will get stuck in traffic and thus lose their advantage over buses. Better have a grade-separated metro, and bicycle paths on bollarded footpaths leading to it.
The maps used to represent green line and yellow line are completely wrong in the sense of where the line has been overlaid on the cities map
Should watch out for bommasandra silkboard line. The mother of all problems
All maps are wrong. Basically the overlays are matching not the metro stations but where Google Claims those "localities" are.
Plz improve the audio. Audio balance of this file is not proportional.
When will it come to YELAHANKA ?
All the transportation planning for the convenience of JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Indiranagar and MG road.. BMRCL ensured that Whitefield metro is delayed connectivity with Byappanahalli busy constructing on Kengeri and Kanakpura road to help some real estate mafia selling their properties.
Bruh.. You have gone too far. Byappanahalli phrase is delayed because they are constructing Silk board corridor bridge right next to the Metro bridge and They're also constructing the metro above the tin factory - hebbal flyover.
Half the problem is because various contractors selected went "bankrupt" half-way through the construction, for example "Simplex Infra" is prime cause for half of problems in Bangalore:
@@motog-rocks6544 there is no wonder contractors goes bankrupt.. After paying this much commission and bribe to government engineers and politicians, any one will survive?

When will Baiypanahalli to Whitefield be done?

March for Whitefield metro, main connectivity from KR puram to bypanahalli is not done. All these deadlines are imaginary!!
delay in metro is majorly result of political failure and achieving 100 km in 12 years is disgusting. But unfortunately people do not have better option there. Bengaluru being tech city is shamed for its traffic . Hope BJP central authority be little more strict on state for this completion at war footing
We all will be complaining a little less about traffic in 2024 😅
2023 Dec? The construction goes at snail pace in daily basis...
Traffic won't change inspite of Metro in Namma Bengaluru!
Public transport is the only way forward and you better wrap your head around that
Make separate lanes for government buses, only govt buses should run on those lanes
Silkboard to airport via kr puram line will reduce 40% of bangalore traffic. But no one knows when they would complete.
When it will connect to KIAL
The maps with the metro line overlaid present in this video are hurting my head! @ 4:35 nagasandra is in marathahalli!
can anyone give me information on new plan of metro near Rameshwaram hotel which is in jp nagar is this a rumor r is it true
The maps used are completely wrong!
Im from bangalore these metros are near my home only
That's OK. It's the politicians who fix impractical deadlines for political gain. We can also use a multiplication factor to arrive at a realistic deadline. We aren't stupid .
The indicative maps are wrong eg. Benniganahalli to Whitefield stations are shown not at their corresponding points, but haphazardly chosen!
The city is badly planned. Cannot provide walking connectivity to stations. People will still prefer own vehicles due to lack of footpath or bus connectivity. This city is doomed to fail
yeah. Its sad a great city like Bangalore is being destroyed,
where the hell is the outer ring road line!!!! . they get so much taxes from the it employees in that region..
Until Metro reaches Marthalli, SilkBoard and KR.Puram, traffic will not come down..
I am waiting for yellow line, as it will make easier to reach iiit bangalore.
K R PURAM TO BAYAPANAHALLI will never complete even by next century. It is better to sack entire MRCL Staff and to recruit new blood so that they can meet the targets timely
It's June. Still baiyyapanahalli kr puram not completed
If you launch 100 color lines also there will no change in Bangalore traffic and by 2025 city is gng to increase 58% and these huge project are time taking
Traffic may or may not get worse. What matters is whether people are getting to their destination.
