Angie, I have an important question and am hoping you will see this and answer, but I read on the Omnilux website that you cannot use Tretinoin if you want to use the Omnilux mask.
I cannot imagine that you gave up your Tretinoin and I know you use the Omnilux so is it safe in your opinion?

Regarding tinnitus: I've learned that if you have tinnitus it is imperative to get your hearing checked (as it often accompanies hearing loss) - even if no tinnitus get your hearing checked if you are older (even if you think you don't have any hearing loss). Pasted below from the Alzheimer's Association International Conference 2023:
HEARING AIDS SLOW COGNITIVE DECLINE IN OLDER ADULTS WITH HEARING LOSS AND AT RISK FOR COGNITIVE DECLINE
    Key Takeaways:
    ● Largest clinical trial to investigate whether a hearing loss treatment intervention can reduce risk of cognitive decline.
    ● In the study, in a subgroup of older adults with hearing loss who were at higher risk of cognitive decline, using hearing aids for three years cut cognitive decline in half.

I too have had tinnitus for years - mostly in my left ear, so I was excited when you mentioned the supplement but what a bummer that it didn't work! I finally went to an audiologist about it and was surprise to learn I have some hearing loss - which may be the cause of my tinnitus. She told me the importance of treating hearing loss with hearing aids for your long term brain health. That's all she had to say - I got my hearing aids quickly! In addition to the brain benefits of wearing the hearing aids, they also make me less aware of the tinnitus.

If you don’t get your ears cleaned regularly, I would recommend trying it for tinnitus. I suffer from vestibular migraines and started getting my ears cleaned at the PCP. Had no idea it would lessen my tinnitus by 50%. I used to hear it many times a day ( at least 10x) and now it is usually 3x a day and some days less. Worth a shot if you haven’t tried this.

Angie, thanks for the video. It's the type of video that I really appreciate. You explain clearly what something is, you say what's good and bad about it, particularly with reference to your skin. You say why you did or didn't like it. You explain your skin's characteristics. Your listener can then take your information and adjust it to fit the needs of that person's skin and that person's preferences. I also appreciate information like the recent change in the Elta sunscreen. While I don't use that sunscreen, the information is valuable to any of your listeners who do and might be affected. I discovered your channel about five years ago, I think, and it's been a great resource.
On tinnitus, I also have it. Taurine and NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) help mine. My tinnitus has always varied a bit in loudness and sometimes stops for brief periods. These supplements don't cure it, but the ringing doesn't get as loud and there are more and longer times during the day when the noise isn't there. Either alone improved it some but not as much as taking both. I don't know why. I mention it because neither is mentioned as possibly helping tinnitus.

I have tinnitus - and have had migraines since age 5. So butterbur or petadolex, helps clear out excess glutamate from your brain. Some peoples tinnitus is made worse by excess glutamate (msg, aspartame) but tinnitus is complex. I use butterbur as a migraine rescue (though i prevent 98% of them now). So I can see why it may have helped your friend but it is not something that I use to help my tinnitus.

Thank you for another informative video, Angie. I’m sorry about your tinnitus. I also had it in one ear only (post covid.)I went to an audiologist who was very helpful. Mine has all but disappeared. She told me to avoid complete silence (ex: use a white noise machine at night, or listen to audiobooks.) It took the better part of a year to improve. I hope yours resolves. 💕💕💕

You’re very Blessed to still have your Dad with you Angie for the age you are, I lost my Dad 35 years ago and my children missed out on knowing him as they grew older, especially my youngest child, he was only 4 weeks old when my Dad passed suddenly, brings a tear to my eyes whenever I hear someone mention their Dad who is in their 60’s, I was only 30 years old when he passed, sorry off topic, I was wondering your thoughts on Caster Oil for the skin, I’ve heard so many talk about it but just not sure if it’s the right thing to use on ones face. I am surprised I never see anyone talking about SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen. I love the tinted version and as someone with ultra sensitive skin, it works super well for me - zero irritation especially around the eyes. I also absolutely love Isntree's Watery Sun Gel SPF 50 (PA +++++). There is a ton of hype around Beauty of Joseon's sunscreen too, but I wasn't a huge fan as it makes me look too greasy.

Hi Angie, thank you so much for your detailed and informative videos! I have learned so much from you. I recently used the EWG Skindeep Database to looked up the ingredients and toxicity ratings of all of my make-up and skincare and was horrified to discover their poor ratings. I realize not everyone agrees with or trusts EWG as a source. You really dig into the science of products, so I would love you to start including videos to educate us about the claims that are valid, and which brands and products are worthwhile. Thanks for all you do. ❤

I have been going crazy trying to figure out why my beloved Mychelle Tinted sunscreen suddenly made my skin burn like crazy after using it for years. She told me the importance of treating hearing loss with hearing aids for your long term brain health. In addition to the brain benefits of wearing the hearing aids, hearing better also make me less aware of the tinnitus (there are some hearing aids that offer a white noise feature to drown out the tinnitus, but I found the white noise more distracting than anything - but some love it).

I have a sister in law who has a salon in Cherry Creek (Denver Colorado). As a hostess gift for Christmas she gave me a Devines Heart of Glass gift set for Blond hair. There's a lightly tinted purple shampoo, a lightly tinted conditioner and a and thermal and UV protector to use during styling. OMG!!!! If you want luscious hair, this is the produce for you. I have very fine blond hair and it's a little too conditioning for me to use all the time but when I do use it, my hair feels so soft and shiny for days. Even after washing it with my regular shampoo. I've started adding just a teensy bit of the Devines products to my regular shampoo and conditioner and that is a happy balance for me. If you have a little thicker hair though, I bet it would be really awesome.

@user-ws3xk3mc8j Officially, it says that mascara conditioners have keratin in them, which is the protein that's in our hair. So the mascara conditioner strengthens, prevents clumping, lengthens and thickens the lashes, and it's supposed to increase the longevity of your mascara and can also add volume and curl. I do notice that it makes my eyelashes look longer and thicker because my lashes are pretty sparse. And my mascara seems to go on better afterward. L'Oreal Paris, Pacifica Beauty and Honest Beauty all have mascara conditioners that I have tried.
