I believe Jones Road WTF foundation has no added scent, it's just from the ingredients. I actually love it on my very dry skin in the dry winter weather where I live, but I'd never use it in the summertime. The JR concealer pencil that goes with the foundation works wonderfully for me. I do lightly powder it if I'm going out, but not when I'm staying in. It sinks into my dry skin and wears well all day.
48 and very dry outside the t-zone, I usually try to wait about five minutes or so after applying sunscreen before applying WTF, and I don't use a lot of it either. It doesn't really try to cover things, it just makes the rest of my skin look so good that I don't see the things I was trying to cover. Love the stuff, but it's definitely not for everyone!
If you have dry skin like me the Jones Road foundation is amazing. It is very light coverage and the entire Jones Road line is for someone who wants a natural look and not a full face of makeup. I do have to use a powder with it when I don’t want that dewy finish.
Honestly, I have combo skin with a very oily t zone and I loved this on top of my Elta MD UV Physical just on areas where I need a little coverage. Lasted beautifully…but even using the lightest color it’s way too dark for me which is odd because in the dead of winter I’m not usually the fairest shade of foundation. Glad you like it!
I have dry skin as well. If you like this, you may like the Loreal Balm Foundation. It doesn't separate and is a fraction of the price. Very natural look, applies well no matter how you apply it. Doesn't smell weird, natural finish, not too dewy, definitely not matte. Just love it. If you want to try it, the shades look different in the pot than on the skin and I think most people seem to be a half shade lighter than they would be in other foundations. I'm usually a light-medium or medium, and in the Loreal Balm I am the darker light shade. Light 20.
Angie - thanks for taking one for the team! Greasy upper lip and then skin flakes - that’s a hard pass. After buying, wearing the Dior - thanks to your review - I feel like I have the perfect foundation already!
This clean beauty foundation is actually amazing if you use it as intended. It’s for an older demo w dry skin who are makeup minimalists looking for a natural look. I am that consumer. For me, your day time looks would be my evening look, to give you an idea of where I’m coming from. I like a fresh, I woke up like this vibe and the WTF gives me that w the JR face pencil to blur out those imperfections, the tinted balm on the cheeks and lips, a bit of mascara, and boom. Done. UA-camr Mature Makeup Masterclass, a film industry mua, has a great tutorial on WTF. Also want to say I generally hate fragrance in my products but I like this one. Reminds me of Prescriptives, rip.
@@riomctavish2405 Imperceptibly little. So little you can't see it. But it sure adds a LOT of shine! Which is good if you want to look like a disco ball.
I'm 53 with dry skin and a true makeup minimalist - I rarely wear it at all. When I do, I want sheer to light coverage that just evens my skin tone, is easy to apply, and doesn't emphasize my pores or any dry areas. This should be perfect for me. But it's not. My WTF came with a weird texture with some kind of chunks I really had to emulsify with my fingers to get it to be smooth enough to apply. I applied it 30 minutes ago and it's still tacky on my skin. I would have to powder it to make it feel better and, as a minimalist, powdering isn't what I want to do. So, yeah... I'm glad it's amazing for you, but it doesn't work for me and I absolutely fit the demo she's supposedly marketing this to. This product is not at all worth the hype, but absolutely IS appropriately named because it definitely elicited a "WTF" from me.
I’d recommend you study up on Jones Road products. This review is pretty much worthless. It’s for dry skin. It’s a tinted moisturizer. It can be used by itself, with no other moisturizer. You’re supposed to take it in your hand and rub to soften up, then apply. And if you’re read up on the concept behind this line, you’d know this is not a foundation that’s supposed to cover it all up.
For me, this is almost more helpful than "I loved everything" ones. I have plenty of makeup and get pickier as I age. Unless something is outstanding, I'm not spending money on it. I have been looking for a contour stick and will make a trip to Sephora.
I must say my mom is also picky and price isn't always the issue. I've gotten her numerous expensive foundations and concealers and she likes Sephora the best. I like this foundation though, but i have very dry skin.
So glad you finally did a test for Jones Road. I am 58 and have combo skin. I had such high hope for the Jones Road. It was horrible for my skin. I felt so greasy all day. Such a fail for me!

I love Jones Road! But please note th at I dont' like a full face of make up like Angie, and I definelitye don't like powder, I love my skin to show through. On a daily basis I just use the miracle balm which I have on three shades on top of my sunblock and I love it! I love shine!! I also have the eyeliners, concealers, the mascara and some eyeshadows. I'm pleased, I love the hydration and my skin suctions everything in a dcouple of hours. To each their own. ;)
Ordered the miracle balm, bronzer, and blush. It was so greasy that I had to wear my hair in a ponytail so it wouldn’t stick to my face. Wish I saw this a couple of months ago because I alway trust your reviews. Thanks for the video!
Thank you, Angie, for your honesty and reviews! I tried the WTF soon after it launched and could not get it to work well with my over 50 dry & sensitive skin. I love Bobbi Brown, but this Jones Road line hasn't been a hit for me. Also, tried that Sephora lip liner. The shade was really pretty, but it was so sticky.
I really appreciate your honest reviews. I always want to try everything new, but it doesn’t make sense for me, so I will stick to my tried & trues. Why fix something if it isn’t broken, right? Thank you, Angie! 🥰
So funny, what a coincidence. I thought JR was only online, and just today I walked into Credo in Boston, looking for something else and there was the WTF. Credo carries the line (and lots of others that I thought I couldn't find in stores like Westman Atelier, Kjaer Weis and lots of others, all clean brands). I have very dry skin, tried it and loved the finish and feel, and it wore well all afternoon, it plumped up my skin without feeling wet or sticky (but I have very dry skin and it is cold here in New England today). I didn't have the same problem you did, sorry it was so 'glowy' on you! It was also a perfect color match which is hard to find. I would describe the fragrances as botanicals. We are all different!
I hope your experience doesn’t scare anyone, including yourself Angie, away from trying cream foundation products. All formulas aren’t the same so perhaps one that doesn’t have as many oils in it would give a better result. I had a similar reaction to the KVD Good Apple cream foundation which even though it didn’t have a scent it was just too greasy feeling for my preference. Thanks for being such a trooper and trying it for your viewers! 💖✨💕
Thanks so much for the reviews! After reading the comments from super dry gals, I might like to try the foundation. I am super dry. I have watched your channel for several years and was surprised to see you buy the warm eye shadow palette - I thought you preferred a cool toned palette. Fun to try new things.
I have used WTF foundation in light for about a year now and absolutely love it. I live in Wisconsin and the weather is so dry and cold . I use Beauty by Josen sunscreen spf 50 , let that set in , then put on my WTF . It provides a light, even coverage to my skin and I feel the layer of protection on my skin helps so much with the dryness in this climate. After I apply the WTF, I do a light spray of the Charlotte Tillbury setting spray. I let that sit on my skin while I dry and style my hair. When I am ready to apply the rest of my makeup, I have such a beautiful canvass ready for blush and Seint Demi. After my makeup is on, I spray one more time with the charlotte tilbury setting spray and I’m set for the whole day. I work in a hospital and in spite of wearing a mask, my makeup looks great the whole day. I love the WTF…it provides the right amount of coverage for me , doesn’t disappoint , smells wonderful and protects my face . My method just works for me and makes me never want to go without this product
Thanks for the information. I love that you are honest about all the products, and show how they perform over hours on your skin. It helps so much when new products come out and there is a lot of hype about them to know how good they work on different skin types. THANKS !!!
You're beautiful with or without makeup and I appreciate that you courageously put yourself out there. I'm 61 and my lips have thinned as I've aged. I've considered lip filler but it makes me nervous. I have to ask, Angie, do you use lip fillers? Also, would love to see a review of Lady Gaga's Haus Labs foundation.
A dermatologist can help you with thinning lips that doesn't require any fillers at all, they focus on stimulating the muscles/fascia between nose and top lip to tighten it back up so your top lip is also pulled up, as if defying the gravity of aging.
Most of the reviews for the Jones Road WTF that I have seen have been negative. Sorry you were talked into testing it! You are a real trooper, which is why I always watch your videos. I know you will give an honest review based on how something works or doesn't work for you. Since I find your recommendations to be excellent and your "fails" to help me prevent mistakes I will be passing on the foundation, et al.
Good morning Angie ❤️ As soon as you opened the Jones Road foundation, I thought "No way!". A foundation that separates to an oil and whatever isn't for me. I have the Merit bronzer and it's a favorite. Thank you for saving me lots of $$! I was wondering if you have a Favorite Conclear list (like your ongoing foundation list)? It would be helpful to me & maybe others. Just a thought. Have a great week ❤️
You are so much fun to watch! Your videos are actually my reward once I’ve finished working out and cooling down...lol. I have tried so many of your recommendations and been so pleased. Thanks for always keeping it honest😊
I agree with everything you said about Jones Road WTF Foundation. I bought it and was so disappointed. Mine actually has these little gritty granules throughout. So it smells, feels gritty and greasy when applying, didn't cover anything and I looked like I a sweaty mess. Wish I saw this before I bought the product.
I purchased this about 3 months ago. I agree with Angie. It is extremely greasy. Mine also had gritty granules. You could see the granules on my face after applying the foundation. What a mess. Hard to believe BOBBY BROWN would endorse this.
Thanks for doing this, and talking us through what you were experiencing. You are a real trooper! My skin is just like yours and I would not have been able to endure greasy-feeling (and looking) makeup for more than 10 minutes, even if it meant completely removing skincare and sunscreen, too. I agree with you, it looked more greasy than “dewy”
My morning chuckle. I love your willingness to try new makedup. The foundation looked nice under natual light but like you, if it doesn't feel good, smell good then I can't do it. The first glance at the foundation with the oil seperating would've made me take the foundation back to the store. Your sweater is beautiful on you and you really made the eyeshadow work so well with it. I loved the "Help!". LOL.
Oh my, so glad to see this Jones Road review. I’ve been eyeing it and for some reason hadn’t pulled the trigger and now I’m so glad I didn’t. Thank you … as always! 🤩
You just saved me a huge headacheB My jar just arrived from Amazon half an hour ago. I opened it and immediately noticed the smell. Then I did a swatch test on my arm and thought…huh. This is sticky. I thought it was just because I was used to a powder foundation. I wondered if it would “dry.” So based on your review, I’m sending it back without trying it on my face. Thank you!
I love Bobbi Brown’s WTF. Makes my skin look dewy and fresh. The Miracle balm makes my face have a soft flattering glow. It looks lightly sun- kissed. I don’t find the scent medicinal or overwhelming.
I wasted a lot of money on her “Miracle Balms” …I’m 60+ and it broke me out…and so sticky! Also tried two eyeshadows, no payout and flecks everywhere. Cannot understand her releasing such poor quality products. Thanks for going through this for us!
I looked at the ingredients and saw castor oil, said no thanks. Its great for the lips, but why you would want to put sticky oil on your face is beyond me 🤷♀️
It took me a while to get the hang of the miracle balms, but now I LOVE them. The stickiness goes away after a few minutes of you use it the right way.
I wish I would have waited for you review this product before buying it! I had the same issues - bad coverage, too shiny/slimy, highlighted any skin issues, plus... it irritated my skin (burning sensation). Good new, though - I was able to get a full refund. They don't want me to ship the product back, though. Not sure what to do with it.
Thank you for reviewing this product. I have been very curious. BB has such a good rep and I have liked her products in the past- but a strong smelling make up is no good for me. And I don't like anything sticky. So that's a pass for me . Good to know about the smell before I purchased. ( I tend to have sensitive skin)
Oh Dang, you have got to try the Face Defender by Mally. It is perfect for oily or just a tad oily skin instead of power. It looks like jelly. I'm not sure what kind of miracle it is but look into it, please!!!!. Let us know what you think.. You look beautiful as always....
I tried that one years ago but sadly it wasn't great on my skin... it's mainly silicones and gives a really silky matte finish but didn't get along with most of my sunscreens & foundations.
I am so surprised that you reviewed this one considering the type of foundation. This is definitely for a certain type of skin type. I am wondering if the concealer won’t mix well with the foundation. Thank you for taking one for the team. I know it’s drugstore but could you please review Catrice foundation?
Most of this line is a no go for me. All these balmy products just cling to the dry patches on my face, sink into any fine lines, and make feel like Im wearing grease paint. I'll stick to Bare minerals powder foundation. Thanks Angie for your great reviews, Ive found many favorites from watching your channel.
I love the smell of it. To me, it is herbal. It goes on beautifully - I use very little - and covers more than I thought. Of course I usually use tinted sunscreen which doesn't cover much. I am over 70 and have dry skin so this adds some moisture. WTF stays for many hours. The model above used way too much product. It goes on slightly tacky but after a half hour or so, feels matte. I love the idea of wearing a clean foundation that also has skin improving benefits.
I just started using Jones Road Miracle balm and after watching her video’s on how to apply it, I LOVE it. You do not apply this like typical foundations and after watching her video’s on her WTFoundation the same goes to applying it like other foundations. She also recommends to use the concealers before doing the foundation which you didn’t do. Less is more for her products so you DO NOT feel like you are wearing makeup. I have been a follow of yours for years and do appreciate you content, but I wished you looked into Bobbi’s product before you did your review.
Wow this was a great review!!! Very comprehensive and detailed, with just great practical information. I was intrigued about this product, but really appreciated your review to decide that this is not for me.
Hey Angie! Been watching you for a while now, and love all your videos. I feel you give a thorough and honest review all the time. With that being said, on days your not trying products, what is your go to face products? What foundation and concealer do you use?
Living in MT has my drier skin needing moisture. I love the Jones Road lip & cheek color stick, face pencil, eyeshadow, mascara, and bronzer. I haven't tried WTF...I moisturize with Wella Skin Food light and cream.
Thanks so much foe the review of the Jones Road. I have been looking at that for quite awhile waiting for a review that I could trust (you). Will being taking a hard pass on this. My wallet and my husband thank you very much! ❤
The BB WTF foundation so sticky, shiny and fragrant. Barely any coverage at all. Good news is Jones Roads refunded me for the product and said not to return it. So basically got to try it for free!
VERY helpful. Have been so curious about Jones Road products. So happy to see you were trying the foundation. I wonder about the other Jones Road products..ie: lipsticks. Totally love all your videos. Have been with you for years. My skin care is all Angie recommended. Love everything. 🇨🇦
I’ve wondered about this foundation. It seems like you would have to mix the foundation too often, and I know I wouldn’t tolerate the smell. While my skin is desert dry and I like some glow, greasy, sweaty and cakey won’t cut it for me. Thank you!
I'm so glad I watched this before switching foundation.. I have the Jones Road Miracle balm and I like it for a little color when I hike or at the lake but it's too sticky for everyday wear... I was hoping the foundation was more practical. Thanks Angie 😊
I just ordered some Jones Road products and I hope to have better results. I am a senior with dry skin and everything else I use seems to accentuate the lines more than wearing nothing.
I love jones road wtf. I have combo skin and large pores. It does not feel greasy to me and I don’t smell anything. It is not intended to be matte. Everyone’s skin is different.
With WTF you don’t need any moisturizer under it if you have oily or combination skin - it replaces that. That can be why you had issues with the application. I have very dry skin so it would all work for me.
Lol, you're so gracious. I'm OK imagining you walking up to the trash and giving them a good riddance! Ugh, thank you for the endurance of torture for us mature skinned ladies! Bless you!
I just love your reviews Angie!!! You are the only influencer that I have found who truly provides a thorough, honest review of products! I knew you weren’t going to like the Jones Road-WTF as soon as you opened it. It just looked gross!! Bless BB’s heart, but just not impressed with her line. 😏
I tried the Jones Road Balms. I got caught up in the videos. I didn’t think about the fact it is a balm. It’s sticky like lip gloss on your face. I should have thought about since it is a balm.
I tried this many times over the past few months. It was so sticky and very little coverage that I tossed it. Was very sad since it wasn’t cheap but it had to be done.
I’m the odd one but I do not like Jones Road products. I wasted my money on this product. It was very greasy for me. I will go back to Dior Forever. Thanks Angie. Your videos and information are always the best!
Morning, I absolutely love your channel - you look amazing and you have literally helped me through menopause. I do everything you do and I love the results except for one thing - my pores are showing terribly and I feel no matter how good I look overall, this dramatically spoils the look. Any ideas please 🙏🙏
Sigh, I know. The Jones Road WTFfoundation is no fun. I wore it once to my chiropractor and when I was face down on the paper it left an oily face print. I was so embarrassed. There is no dry down. xo, Cowgirl Deb
I remember decluttering the Nyx Mineral powder years ago, but youve made me curious. Powders with a lot of color/coverage tend to look terrible on my under eye wrinkles, plus it says its a finishing powder. But ill try it. My drugstore go to is the Wet n Wild Photofocus loose setting powder, and my high end the Lorac loose powder. They are perfect but you know, we like trying new things.
Hey there! Love your videos first of all…I have to wonder if some of these fails are not due to the many products applied prior to the foundations🤷♀️. I know for a fact that products don’t necessarily melt in to the skin, they tend to sit on top…even serums. My own experience is just that. Foundations don’t apply and wear well if I have several layers of stuff underneath. I tend to go with a good moisture and sunscreen and call it good for daytime anyway….IDK just food for thought.
Please evaluate the Merle Norman foundations in particular the Lasting Foundation compared to Dior Forever Glow. Which does better is hot summer climate? Thank you!
If there is one thing I hate on my face it is an oily, tacky finish that things like fuzz or small hairs stick to. I already know this product (Jones Road) is a big NO for me. Yuck! Great review Angie.
The reason I love Angie is despite having a 1M+ subscribers, therefore lots of sponsors, she does not love everything she reviews, unlike other beauty vloggers.

I have the balmy stuff. You don’t want it. I might use it when I have dry winter days but it’s not great either. Thanks for taking the plunge for us!
I'm glad you consider JonesRoad to be too oily, as I do! I don't like it, but loved Bobbie Brown’s former company products!
I love Jokes Road makeup! Its buildable, and the foundation goes on better when you pat it on.
Great idea Mary! I need to do that + a holy grails list!! 💜
@@AngieHotandFlashy both would be awesome 💖
You are so much fun to watch! Your videos are actually my reward once I’ve finished working out and cooling down...lol. I have tried so many of your recommendations and been so pleased. Thanks for always keeping it honest😊
I agree with everything you said about Jones Road WTF Foundation. I bought it and was so disappointed. Mine actually has these little gritty granules throughout. So it smells, feels gritty and greasy when applying, didn't cover anything and I looked like I a sweaty mess. Wish I saw this before I bought the product.
Same here! I was wondering if I was the only one with the little gritty granules.
The foundation has given up the ghost 😂😂 There’s a fine line between glowy and greasy. Lots of fails here, but I’m going to check out the lippie.
I hated the balm on my face but found it worked well on my crepy neck and chest
My morning chuckle. I love your willingness to try new makedup. The foundation looked nice under natual light but like you, if it doesn't feel good, smell good then I can't do it. The first glance at the foundation with the oil seperating would've made me take the foundation back to the store. Your sweater is beautiful on you and you really made the eyeshadow work so well with it. I loved the "Help!". LOL.
😉
Oh my, so glad to see this Jones Road review. I’ve been eyeing it and for some reason hadn’t pulled the trigger and now I’m so glad I didn’t. Thank you … as always! 🤩
You just saved me a huge headacheB My jar just arrived from Amazon half an hour ago. I opened it and immediately noticed the smell. Then I did a swatch test on my arm and thought…huh. This is sticky. I thought it was just because I was used to a powder foundation. I wondered if it would “dry.” So based on your review, I’m sending it back without trying it on my face. Thank you!
WELL, that was FUN! Shows how few of the new releases are actually wearable. I am sticking with your great Dior review. Sincere thanks!♡
Its great for the lips, but why you would want to put sticky oil on your face is beyond me 🤷♀️
I can’t understand how products like this make it to market … smh
Sorry, but a lot of women love her products.
It took me a while to get the hang of the miracle balms, but now I LOVE them. The stickiness goes away after a few minutes of you use it the right way.
I hated the miracle balm too! I trusted her since she had such a good reputation with her original products. Very disappointed
I really appreciate the close-ups and details you gave us. Great review!
Your skin is so beautiful and you look natural
just beautiful
Thank you for reviewing the Jones Road product. Looked greasy to me, and I wasn't crazy about the shine and especially the scent.
I love how honest you are!! I have just discovered the Merit and will look into this bronzer!!
You look very pretty especially for being 60 , I’d never have guessed that . I hope I look that good . Thanks for the video
I love this foundation ... and other JR products.
Ugh, I tried the Jones Road and thought it was a greasy mess on my skin! So many better options out there, IMO!
Thank you!
Thank you Angie, for sharing this review. I certainly would not wear such a grease makeup. Love the rest of makeup and top. God bless.
Appreciate your honesty.
Good color on you. I agree with your opinion on foundation . Dior is beautiful on you!
I have been waiting for this review! Thanks.
I love jones road wtf. I have combo skin and large pores. It does not feel greasy to me and I don’t smell anything. It is not intended to be matte. Everyone’s skin is different.
Probably one of my favorite videos of yours!
Fragrance is my no go. Oily is also a no go. Thanks for the review so I don’t waste my time and money
You look so beautiful in that orchid color!
With WTF you don’t need any moisturizer under it if you have oily or combination skin - it replaces that. That can be why you had issues with the application. I have very dry skin so it would all work for me.
Thanks for reviewing the Jones Road. It was very helpful.
Oh my goodness luv your so Gorgeous 🥰❤️🔥✌️have a fabulous Christmas holiday.
Lol, you're so gracious. I'm OK imagining you walking up to the trash and giving them a good riddance! Ugh, thank you for the endurance of torture for us mature skinned ladies! Bless you!
Thanks for reviewing the foundation. So glad that I decided not to try it. The lipstick is pretty!
There a few products I wondered about and this video was very helpful as usual! Thanks Angie🦋
It looks so pretty at 14:15 time on the video.
Morning, I absolutely love your channel - you look amazing and you have literally helped me through menopause. I do everything you do and I love the results except for one thing - my pores are showing terribly and I feel no matter how good I look overall, this dramatically spoils the look. Any ideas please 🙏🙏
I am wondering if the combo of two creamy products was why you had too much shine? Can you try again with just the foundation, no face lotion?
Sigh, I know. The Jones Road WTFfoundation is no fun. I wore it once to my chiropractor and when I was face down on the paper it left an oily face print. I was so embarrassed. There is no dry down. xo, Cowgirl Deb
Hmm I was curious about this. Looks like a no go because of the oiliness and fragrance.
I don't see what your talking about AT ALL. The make ALL OF IT LOOKS FABULOUS 👌💯❤
I had the same trouble with this product! Very disappointing! My Mom has dry skin I’m going to pass it to her.
Thank you!
Thank you Angie. I feel the same about the new Bobbi line. I really wanted to love the miracle balm but it’s just too greasy for my skin
Would be interested to know if her Miracle Balm is the same…
Oh my Angie, I feel like that is a huge oil slick look. That’s a hard pass for me, I don’t like a oily face.
I had to pause this so many times to make sure I wasn’t going crazy and hearing a beeping noise that didn’t exist. Lol!
I’ve read similar negative reviews of this foundation. Not for me!
I'm 57, still oily and so disappointed the Jones Road foundation isn't for oily skin. I bought the ND palette and agree that it's just ok.
Beautiful as always
If there is one thing I hate on my face it is an oily, tacky finish that things like fuzz or small hairs stick to. I already know this product (Jones Road) is a big NO for me. Yuck! Great review Angie.
I hated the foundation, I tried everything to get it to work for me but nothing worked.
