This was probably the best comparison video I’ve ever seen. You had high end and drug store and compared them side by side and you had a lot of choices. Also you showed us actually putting them on and removing them which is so helpful. When UA-camrs just sit there droning on and on about items without showing us how they apply my mind wanders and I loose interest. Great job!! Unbiased as well, you can tell you’re not sponsored.❤

I love the tubing mascaras. A little trick I figured out taking it off, after I get my lashes wet with hot water I keep my eyes closed and use a spooly to brush my lashes. It comes right off instead of pulling or rolling it off. And you are so beautiful.

I know but It's just so hard for me. And I haven't been able to change in all these years. I had a super super critical mom, so I got in the habit of heading off the negative criticism ahead of time. Like Ok, I know my (fill in the blank) looks terrible mom, but I didn't have time to work on it this morning. It was hair, clothes, my kids, my spouse, my eyebrows, my makeup, my voice, , my, well you get the idea. Whew, sorry. I didn't mean to open up like that. lol.

And you have this beautiful fun platform to show other girls how to uplift themselves how to make themselves feel better and we can do that with our words you’re so positive you’re so uplifting so we want to make the younger generations feel there’s nothing wrong with them, your grandparents might’ve been harsh on your mom and she carried that down we have to educate and change from the bad years prior. Love you! hugs. ☀️🐰

@@Melissa55Boy, I hear you and the same here. However, we tear down God’s workmanship in us when we do that. I started just attacking those voices in my head and countered them with the Word of God and what He says about me! Satan is the accuser of the brethren and he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy! I pray you will start tearing down those thoughts and taking them captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus! We are fearfully and wonderfully made! Glory be to God the Father!!!

I use a different method for removing tubing mascara which I think is better because you're not putting that glop down the drain. I use a Neutrogena make-up wipe to take off the make-up, then run the water until warm/hot and wet the wipe under the water. Press the warm wipe up to your eyes a few times, then use the same “pinching” technique you showed, but with the wipe! All the tubes come off on the wipe and you can just disard it.

Melissa you're looking fantastic. The hair is "extra" today, so pretty. This is so timely for me. As I've given up on regular mascaras. Bought the KVD, it made my eyes itch, returned. Used Thrive in the past, I liked. Definitely gonna try Tarte next time I get to Ulta. I had no idea there was a special way to remove these. Appreciate all your tips. regarding this type of mascara. Happy Easter🐣 to you and your family..

Loved how you filmed this comparison video, Melissa. I know what you mean regarding the way a wand grabs, and coats the lashes. In my early days of UA-cam I tried the Blinc tubing mascara, and did like it. Then I tried the regular Superhero, and Have stuck with it ever since. But, I have to say, you've tempted me to try tubing mascara again. Love you, my beautiful friend...MaryEllen

Lune & Aster makes imho, the best tubing mascara called Eclipse. Blue Mercury carries their line and I never hear anyone mention it. I’ve tried my fair share of them including several of the ones you mentioned. It’s a very wet formula which I like because most of them are quite dry. A tube lasts forever.

I think the Victoria Beckam gave your lashes a little lift on the outer edge, which is very flattering! Maybe that's part of what you liked? Tubing mascaras have changed my life! They walk the line between a traditional mascara and a waterproof one - best of both worlds, imo! Thank you for sharing all these options! The It Cosmetics has been my go-to, but now I have others to try!

I thought I was the only one who struggled for years with mascara smudging. I’m surprised at the Thrive and Milani comparison. When I tried Milani it was sooooo liquidy and wouldn’t build, whereas the Thrive was fantastic. I have had the Thrive in blue before - I didnt care for that one at all, so I wonder if the colours affect things. I haven’t tried any of the others you showed, except the Panda Eyes (rubbish - smudged everywhere) so I have a few new ones on my list now. Currently the ELF is my go-to. Fabulous result with a low cost…win-win.

To combat smudging, make sure you are usually water-based formula (not waterproof). Water will be listed as the first ingredient. Then, after you have applied your foundation/concealer, dust a very thin veil of powder under your eyes, close to the lashes. I use a powder puff, and just press it once.

I was always a Maybelline mascara customer, but the whole mess of politically correct pandering made me furious. So I started experimenting and luckily discovered L’Oréal right off the bat. Same problem as you : most mascaras smudge and I do not like waterproof mascaras. In 2017 I discovered the Clinique tubing mascara. Bought it as once, quite happy, even if it does not transform my lashes into "dream" lashes. But it does the job and never smudged. Easy to take off. I bought the Milani recently and it is definitely my favourite because it is very "generous", thickens my lashes and is easy to clean. Plus the price which is quite low and it is available nowhere.
By the way the Maybellline Sky High does not smudge at all, but the Fireworks does....
    Thanks for the video.

I struggle with pink eye quite often so I have to replace my mascara more frequently than it would actually expire. Because of this I mostly use inexpensive mascaras (because who can afford to buy a high end product six to eight times a year on a fixed income?) and I've bought the Catrice one a couple of times this year. It is excellent!
