That Oliver 77 looks sweet!! You just have to find that spot in the shift and it goes up to the high range (just as the diagram says). Our 88's are the same way. The GMC grain truck looks awesome too lots of pretty good things at this auction! Love auctions like this, trouble is is I have a hard time leaving without buying something.
Yeah, off camera I messed around with it a little and found the high side and the low side. And then, later I was messing around with our older Oliver 70 and surprisingly I think it has a split shift pattern like that too.
Bid on the pony, great little parade tractor. Purrs so quiet.
It went for $750, which I think is a fair price. But if I had bid on it, my wife would have killed me.
The Oliver 77 was nice, I have a '51. Never seen that hour meter before. The best way to describe the transmission is, it has a long neutral that divides the ranges...$2k was a good price for my area.
Yeah, I thought the hour meter was pretty unique.
Those two knobs are for the hoist. That PONY would be a great project .😊
Yes, I agree, those little Massey Pony's look great when they're restored. I love the redish/orange color of the Massey Harris with the yellow lettering. Very striking.
I love old equipment. I started selling some of mine because I bought too much.....
It's an addiction. It really is.
We enjoy the auction too. Great video and thanks
Thanks for watching!
Older equipment but some of these items are real nice condition.
Yeah, I really liked that Oliver
The Oliver probably had a gearbox like some old Gallion graders that had the hi and lo all the way to the right. Go all the way to the right and go down for low and then go left. The one I herded would go from hi to lo range and the sifter ball in the floorboard would dropdown and lock the master cycilder down solid. Got really interesting. And a pal had a KW Contructioner truck with a 3406 and a tranny like that. OD box with 5th forward. 1st was left and towrd you and lolo was move stick left and then go up for lolo. Reverse was the same way BUT there was a valve on the dash that put the tranny in lolo without going to the lo position on the stick. Had a dipstick behind the cab to check oil level. Yall remain calm and Blessings
I can only imagine driving something on the road that has a weird shift pattern like that. You know, something that if you miss a shift or can't hit a gear then you might need to stop and restart. That would be a little nerve-wracking. Thanks for watching!
@@jonelsonster I always ended up with the grader having to go from hi to lo range and the stick dropping down and locking the brake pedal. It was always at the top of a hill and me scared to death and trying to get the stick pulled back up and into gear. The old maching finally died. It started out with a UD International and ended up with a 4-71 that ended up powering a pump at the quarry. I went on to other adventures, sniffing bulldog butts in Mack trucks. Bless Yall
I have a Super 77 diesel. The shifting is a double H pattern. Just have to work it a little and it goes from one H to the other. That one actually has dual hydraulic remotes. The left side just isn't plumbed up. I bought mine put on the pto generator. It running about a gallon of fuel an hour. I'd love to know what the Ollie brought.
The Oliver sold for $2,000. My Dad's neighbor bought it. He said it was one of those cases where he was bidding on some stuff, so he the out a bid on the Oliver and surprisingly, it stuck. So he has it now.
Curious what the Cummins driven generator went for and of course the JD and Oliver. I have not been to an auction for a long time. Where i am, after all the covid things happened many of the auctioneers had started doing ONLINE instead. Judging by some of the things i saw i don't think the owner would have been impressed. Lot of times many things would be bundled together in a lot and often sold cheap. Good for the buyer i guess but i sure would not be happy as the seller.
@@KStewart-th4sk not sure about the generator. But the Oliver went for $2,000. I think that is a very good price (for the buyer, especially considering the tires were so nice). And I'm not sure about the JD. But I did see that same JD for sale in the local classified for $11k. So I think someone probably got it cheap and flipped it.
It has 2 neutral . Hi & low 👨🌾
Yeah, it's kinda tricky to find.
I like that Oliver Super 77; do you know what it went for?
@@ptnelsonster $2k. Dad's neighbor bought it. Maybe I'll need to go visit him and drive it around.
