I left a toxic work environment. I can not tell you how much my life has improved. Looking back, I'm glad I experienced this, was able to move forward, and appreciate my current season in life. Backstabbing, dog eat dog, throwing you under the bus, high stress, overtime, call-ins, management against you... the list goes on and I can't stress this enough, your mental health is more important! Take care of yourself!
No amount of money is worth that, please know your life is more important! It's not worth your health or mental well-being.
Workplace performance declines in toxic work environments. If an employee performs
fine, and then it changes, look at the management team. They have likely acted from a point of hardness, or been overly critical of an employee. Playing mind games, collecting dirt, and flat-out fear-mongering is something poor leadership does!
At most times, management usually supports narcissists and toxic people. Never tell management what is happening, just smile, sharpen your resume, and look for another job or start a business that will generate money.
