    It would be interesting to see aikido techniques done in live resistance sparring like the Gracie channel does

    Watch carefully for the word "not" in several of the questions, and answer accordingly.

    For me a problem is ki projection.

      The application of "Ki" in Martial Arts is nothing new at all - It is used under various names in a wide variety of traditional arts; Kung Fu , Karate etc. But when you mention Ki Projection specifically it leads me to assume that you might have/or is training "Ki Aikido" - is that so?.

      @@markracadio5207 Okay Mark - Well, I am not here to bash any art as such - But if I was you I would properly go and try out some more traditional Aikido styles, perhaps a camp or seminar - does not mean you should quit your Ki AIkido, but just get a second perspective on it before you make it a problem. And just to make it clear - "Ki" is already an integrated part of "Ai Ki Do". In the most basic understanding, Ki is about bringing all focus to one point - That includes both the mind, the "soul/spirit" and the body - So if it does not work in one way learn it with another way. Cheers ;)

    Practicing aikido costs too much money, the grading system is useless because it does not reflect anything but the amount of your annual fee. Aikido should be more liberal and egalistic like yoga. It should not be so costly and bureacratic.

    • @HesteBremse
      @HesteBremse 5 років тому +1

      That is quite a narrow perspective and/or perhaps based on your local options. And yoga is not necessarily cheap to say at least - that also depends on local offers and options. If you want to be a Yoga Teacher it can easily cost you 2000-5000 USD. The grading system in Aikido is not useless - Any practitioner has to perform basic curriculums and then some more on the request of the Sensei to determine if the student has understood and/or masters what is needed to graduate. Secondary AIkido graduation cannot be forced since both the time span and hours of training needed is incremental to the degree. But perhaps you have good reasons for your reply and have trained in an Aikido system that has lead to your reply - I´m curious to hear whom that Aikido organization/affiliation/dojo is?
