When King Hiram went to Ophir to get gold for the temple in Jerusalem (1 Kings 9:26-28, 2 Chronicles 9:18 - 10:1), King Hiram gave the news about King Solomon's greatness to the Queen of Sheba. It was obvious that the Queen of Sheba knew King Hiram very well. In Psalms 45:9-12, it is clear that the Queen of Sheba is daughter of King Hiram in the Kingdom of Ophir. The fact that travelling from Ezion-Geber to Ophir takes a round trip of three (3) years (1 Kings 10:22) means that the Queen of Sheba is not from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, or Ethiopia but farther from the east (to the outermost part of the known biblical world). Ophir according to the Spanish explorers can be found below China and Japan. There is no other country down there identified by the explorers but the Philippine Islands.
