He goes by the name of The Treeman and hails from Liverpool and between the months of March and July 2011 I have been filming him trying to play the intro to his song 'Ghost of Love' which has frustrated him to the point were he has broke 3 guitars, almost chewed his hand off and smashed his house to smithereens...
During that time to now he has been working on a new song called 'The Magic Man' which has frustrated him 10 times more than 'Ghost Of Love' ever did. Here are the out takes from them sessions.
The Treeman has finally managed to complete the song 'The Magic Man' and is featured on his debut 7" vinyl.

Just read some 'study' (whatever that means) by Fender which says over 90% of people quit playing guitar in the first year.
And the maybe 2% who keep playing after 5+ years, myself included, would probably all understand.
I remember the painful sensitive fingertops, skin falling off, bleeding, playing with selfmade fingertipbandages. Just feeling like quitting when bar chords got introduced lol. Then when I still couldn't get the F properly after another year lol. Nothing ever sounded nice too, every note is pitchy and bendy and plucked too agressively. You think you sound good until you record and listen and it still sounds incredibly bad.. such a harsh ride.
Nothing is more fulfilling tho to now be able to play things I wouldn't have even dreamed of when I started, or playing modern techniques that not even my old guitar heroes I admired 20 year ago knew about. Or that feeling when other people (or musicians even!) step to you and tell you that 'you can really play dude'.. that's bliss
It really is an incredibly rewarding never ending journey if you get through the beginner/intermediate stages

@@teddmented 100%. you really have to love it- but also kinda actively have to keep trying to make it fun. Guitar simply sucks at plenty of stages and it takes some effort (or a good teacher) to know HOW to keep practicing in a efficient, but ALSO fun way.

I empathise with him. I have moments where the results I want aren't the results I get and I find myself increasingly frustrated to the point of lashing out at what I'm doing and losing my patience. My outbursts are kept to myself but I get a feeling it's something that those on the spectrum suffer with on a regular basis.

I wanted to quit so many times xD I was so mad that this is so hard, not touched guitar for several months, but then I really wanted to learn a lot FUR REAL, was sitting and training training and training hard, my fingers were burning with pain, then learned some techniques so I'm quite happy of what I learned.
BUT THIS FOQING $HIT IS SO HARD!!!! It requires too much time, and if you have a job this will take like forever to learn :/. After a job you don't always want to train on guitar, you just want to chill out.
Can't relate that... I started learning the guitar like two months ago and I absolutely love every bit of it. I'm always surprised of what I'm able to do which I wasn't so long ago. I love how my fingers hurt because I know how good it'll feel when my fingertips become stronger and I love how hard it is when trying to play a new song because I know how good it'll feel to finally master it. I LOVE PLAYING THE GUITAR WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM

I had to rewatch this video the other night to feel better after attempting to sing while playing acoustic guitar on a song I'm currently writing.
It's so hard to sing different notes from what I'm playing, especially when I'm playing melodies with an alternating base note.
My voice always wants to match the notes I'm playing instead of singing the individual notes I'm trying to voice to compliment the notes being played...
Not to mention trying to sing in and out of the melody's active and resting points.
Still my favourite music video on the Internet. Love to buy this fella a pint 👌
