Hey man, great video. Just wanted to share the reason why the bolts that come in with the kit are so short. They designed it to put the spacers between the diff mounts and the diff. That's why it only comes with two nuts, the driver side bolts into the diff mount. Instead of the bolt going all the way through with a nut. The way you did it makes more sense than supreme suspensions design. It's so much harder to get the spacers installed between the mount and the diff than the your install.
Dustin Hendrickson I’m not sure I’m following your description. None of the bolts on my 2014 threaded into any of the mount. They passed all the way through and all required a nut. Are you sure we are talking the same year trucks?
@@WaterFowler41 well more accurately I can't say for sure on your truck. But my 2015 silverado, the driver side of the diff just had two bolts threading into the diff mount bracket. The diff mount bracket had 2 bolts and nuts mounting the bracket to the frame. At least on my truck. I put my spacers between the diff and the diff bracket. I should have done it the way you did. Supremes bolts were just barely long enough for mine, I got longer bolts for mine anyway. It's just the driver side though. The passenger side all 4 of the bolts for diff and bracket go through with nuts on the end.
Dustin Hendrickson ahhh makes sense, I wonder why GM changed it, is your silverado a Canadian truck? My Sierra is, temp gauges are in Celsius. I wonder if that makes the difference.
@@WaterFowler41 no my truck was actually made 40 minutes from my house in fort wayne, indiana. That could make a difference. I had a 2001 Sierra that was built in Canada and every part I had to buy I had to make sure it was for the Canadian built trucks.
Glad you posted this! I'm going up to 3 1/2" on my Sierra an was looking at ordering a diff drop kit to help angles out... An this is the only video that showed up lol
Thanks for the video . After watching several times I decided to lower my diff after installing a supreme 3” kit in my 2015 Sierra. Truck feels so much better now that it is level. Now I’m ready for the slightly bigger tires to be mounted (255/75r17). I agree with you about the kit. It should come with the correct bolts...cost me another 20.00 bucks in hardware.
I have a 3” lift and for a long time I didn’t have a diff drop and didn’t really have any issues. I just got done installing a home made diff drop but I would not have even attempted it if it wasn’t for your video. Took me a while just to figure out how I would even do it, and it was not fun. I used 7/16”-14 x 4.25” long grade 8 bolts, washers, and nylocks with homemade 1/2” thick machined steel spacers. I appreciated the dimensions btw! I haven’t driven it yet, but personally, it was such a pain, and the visual difference in the CV angles is not visible to me (I took before and after pics) that I don’t believe it was worth the effort. I hope I’m proven wrong after I drive it, but just a fair warning to anyone who wants to try it themselves
My 2012 GMC Sierra has a 3 inch lift too but without a diff drop, after a few months my left cv started to make some noise when taking a turn, specially when I go off roading a lot, cuz I need to deflate my tires to 10-15 psi which makes my cv goes extreme angled. But, when I drive it on roads with 35 psi, it doesn’t make much noise, cuz my front tires are 35 psi, the cv’s are kinda straight. Anyway, I just got my new diff drop today, I maybe install it this weekend.
I used the same kit the space were supposed to go between the diff and mount and replace the stock bolts with the provided. That's why u needed more stuff.
@@WaterFowler41 was it 2 short and two longer bolts? I just commented on what someone else said. I installed mine same as this guy describes. Between diff and those mounts.
I just ordered this kit, and I received four bolts from Supreme Suspensions that are 4.75" in length. I wonder if they corrected this problem and include the proper hardware now.
Hu man, i have similar 3inch suspension lift done couple days back and mechanic said he did tge diff droo but when i looked underneath i noticed tie rods are angled downwards a lot and not straight pkus weird thing is that the steering wheel is making cracking noise when i turn it while at parking...sounds like metal beings squeezed!! What have i missed!!
DUDE I MADE MY OWN KIT IN MY GARAGE AT HOME ( using bushings from my old lower control arms cut 4 pcs 1" w grinder /LOWES HARDWARE STORE (blots) I drop the diff itself and use longer bolts i only drop the passenger side diff bracket and knock out the 2 press in bolts and use longer bolts with locking nuts & torque....GREAT VIDEO
I’m wanna lift my 95 blazer and there aren’t any kits like this for mine, but watching after watching this makes me think that it’s all mostly universal I see no reason why I couldn’t put that same spacer in my blaze
The reason you had hardware issues is because you installed the spacers in the wrong spot. They go in between the diff and the diff brackets in which you installed your spacers on. One side the bolts go all the way through and uses the 2 nuts on top, and the other side the bolts thread into the diff bracket itself
Tha directions specifically say to install between frames and mount. So I don't know why you say that, even in video from Supreme suspension they use longer bolts and install between frame and mount.
@@WaterFowler41 I think the last image I seen was with the truck still on jacks. The front end assembly isn't an accurate depiction without the weight of the truck pushing the assembly down.
Matthew Reeves yep, I chalked the rest of the vibrations at low speed turns to my falkens. Trucks history now so i guess it’s safe to say, vibration is completely gone.

Hey man...have u made the uplft? Any problems with tie rod angle or steering wheel sound?
Im curious as well i just ordered my 3.5 in with new UCA ordered and wanted to know if i have to think about cross member if its not deep enough.

Just got my drop kit, all bolts came in 5” or 125mm or 12.5cm
Will install it soon.
I have a 2007 tahoe with 3in spacer. I put on this same kit and was able to retain the factory bolts. 3 treads sticking pass the nuts tho.
Did it clear the front cross member? I'm about to install one on my 07 tahoe and looks like the crossmember will hit the front diff
i saw a video where some guy cut the cooling fins on the dif and another part do you have to do this he did it with the 3.5" RC lift
I used the same kit the space were supposed to go between the diff and mount and replace the stock bolts with the provided. That's why u needed more stuff.
The provided bolts were too short. They were shorter than the factory bolts.

Very likely they did. I remember chatting with them after I dropped my video.
Your putting the spacer on the "perch bolts". Supreme suspension says install on the actual diff mounts bolts. That's why it took you 2 and 1/2 hours.

Good review. This kit might be worth it on my ‘10.
Definitely!
so exactly what size bolt did you get from the store?
Duran 120 mm is the way to go.
Thanks for posting this. Maybe a short follow up in the future ?
stan so far so good, put on a couple hundred miles since installing. Use to get a vibration during slow speed sharp turns, no longer feeling it!
Great video! Thanks for all the detail!
Did this solve you’re vibration issues?
A little but I still felt a bit in some conditions
Those CVs already have an imbalance they will until they go completely
Did you have to install shock extenders if you used your stock rear shocks?
No I had extended shocks from eibach
I have a 2013 do you have to cut the crossmember ?
I don’t know, I’d reach out to the vendor. Sorry
The other video it was the lower bolts he put the spacers in between.
Will these effect the drive shaft angle aswell?
Yes you probably need shims on the rear blocks
Does anyone know if there’s a kit like this for a 2002 Silverado? 😕
Well that's a bummer on bolts. I guess you get what you paid for. Thanks for the info
Why the hell am I seeing everyone completely remove their differentials to install these?

Awesome
Why did you remove Dee Zee Bumper Gaurd?
iGotGameDoU My truck is ALWAYS evolving these days! I don’t think it stays the same for more than a month or two before I’m switching things up.
Its fit for silverado 2014 1500 4wd ?
yes but double check with supreme suspension on the bolt and make sure you're getting the updated kits.

Yup

What trim is your truck? 4WD? Z71?
4wd, sle
What year is your truck
Ben Mitchell 2014 GMC Sierra SLE
Will this fit a 2003?
You'll have to check with Supreme Suspensions on that.
damn good video!! wouldnt it be cheaper/better to just use washers for the spacers and but the hardware for cheaper yourself? thank so much !!
Probably!
hey is your opening by chance a canadian goose?
Yup, love bird hunting
Did you get a before and after picture of the CV Joints?
Antonio Pouirer I did, they aren’t the greatest. I believe in the video I show the new angles.
@@WaterFowler41 I think the last image I seen was with the truck still on jacks. The front end assembly isn't an accurate depiction without the weight of the truck pushing the assembly down.

does it only drop the diff 1/2 inch?
mathew hunt yes
So did it fix your vibration?

@@WaterFowler41 what happened to the truck? Accident 🤷♂️
Transmission started to have issues and i was itching for a new truck so traded the GMC for my Rebel
You are putting the spacers in the wrong spot.
This lowered the differential. Not really sure how else you can install these.
There is a slightly different kit for Z71 / LTZ (longer bolts) from them. www.ebay.com/itm/283618873304
I bought that kit and got the exact same bolts. Evan called them and they assured me I would get the proper bolts. What a scam.
