- The Houston-area is a in a flood weather pattern this weekend, with the intensity striking most of the northern part of Harris County. Mayor Whitmire delivered a press conference Thursday afternoon detailing how officials were responding and standing by to assist residents in need.

I have several family members that live in Houston and the surrounding area...flooding is just what that part of Texas does. This should not be a surprise to people.
Chief Pena did a great job expressing the importance of this situation in Spanish. That being said, i dont think it should be expected of our leaders to translate this important information. Maybe the various news agencys should have someone on staff to disseminate the information to our areas community. We have so many other languages and communities in our area that are equally concerned. IMHO. Be safe, everyone.
Obviously, the main thing is lost again - who decided not to release water from Lake Conroe BEFORE THE RAIN? And now we return to the circus with clowns.
No one cares about the community or roads got a 500 gallon tank that will move water from anywhere but no one will do anything about it your not controlled by anyone.

Kinda too late releasing the water...NOW you want to GET a Task Force together AFTER the Fact that People lose their homes and possibly their LIVES. ..
