Hoyt Curtin's underscores will forever be etched into my mind and will always bring smiles to my face. MeTV-Toons - Bring on the classic HB's we haven't seen in a long time.
This music is heard at the end of the Flintstones Episode, Mother-in-law's Visit where Pearl Slaghoople chases Fred in the Backyard and hits him on the head with a Broom
So this is Hoyt Curtin's danger music. Right now, I'm trying to recreate my personal HB music holy grail: Ted Nichols' danger music. The one I'm referring to was made for the climax of the Alice in Wonderland TV special, but was later heavily recycled for Space Kidettes, Laurel & Hardy, Abbot & Costello, Yippee, Yappee & Yahooey, Ricochet Rabbit, Motormouse & Autocat, and most frequently, The Adventures of Gulliver. From that description, hopefully already know which tune I'm talking about, hehe
BARNEY: "Hey, Fred! I'm gonna take the taxi tonight! Maybe with this disguise, I'll catch a fat pigeon with 25 bucks like YOU did last night......" **Wilma's mother puts the cap and fake mustache on Fred, and sees RED** MRS. SLAGHOOPLE: "'FAT PIGEON', eh?" **Inside the house, Wilma and Betty suddenly heard loud noises coming from the backyard, and look out the window, as music cue is heard** BETTY: "Wilma, look! They're at it again!!!" WILMA: "Oh, NO......" **Wilma's mother is chasing Fred around the yard with a broom, belting him every chance she gets** MRS. SLAGHOOPLE: "I'll 'fat pigeon' YOU!!!!!" FRED: "WHY DON'T YOU GO HOME WHERE YOU BELONG???" WILMA: "Betty.....it slowly dawns on me that those two are HAPPIEST when they're fighting." MRS. SLAGHOOPLE: "I'LL GO HOME WHEN I'M READY!!!!" FRED: "THE SOONER, THE BETTER!!!!!!!!!" MRS. SLAGHOOPLE: "I'LL LOWER MY BROOM ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!" FRED: "OUCH!!!! OOOH, CUT IT OUT!!!! OUCH!!! OOOOH!!!! OWW!!! OWWW!!!! OWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!" **fade to black** -"Mother-In-Law's Visit" {February 1, 1963}
@@operator35 I hope there IS another website. The yowpyowp website owner got copies from the Warner Bros archive years ago from historian Earl Kress. The collection he was getting dried up when Kress passed away. At least that's what I remember, anyway.
@@TaylorZanderFrancis Yup. Downloaded my copy of Curtin's never-published-before cues from yowp too! And the complete Capitol libraries from 57-59. Amazing treasures

Verna Felton: "Fat pigeon, eh?"
The REAL hero of this is the tuba player.
I absolutely love it ❤️

Such a fun moment. The wonderful Verna Felton was great as Fred's mother-in-law.

I found the full cue online which had parts I had never heard before and edited it down to the on air version with Movie Studio 14.
@@operator35 Ah, was it the Yowpyowp website? Cause that's where I got mine. Cue 8-7, right?
I don’t believe that was the site but I can’t recall which one it was.

Definitely Flintstones here. Just wouldn't fit any other cartoon to me.
