her voice: soothing
her sales pitch: absurd

real talk though, as a neurodivergent lgbt person i find religious consumerism like this to be very sinister. these images are so often used to quash minorities and other oppressed groups with strawman non-arguments, and here they are being sold as kitschy household ornaments. it makes them feel weirdly meaningless? like, buy your messiah for 8.99. you can avoid hell if you just give us your money and get a bunch of God Merch!!! and don't forget, you're being watched always!!

@@caroled3943 I’m a recovering Catholic so I know that a dogma is an opinion that requires no evidence but is still taken very seriously. Why do you find this weird, and if it's so weird, why are you watching it?
@@stephanie4949it’s weird for the same reason reiki videos and esoteric healing videos are weird. They can still give great asmr
@@pezfam I'm guessing that if you don't believe in anything supernatural, you might find it weird. But please don't equate it with Reiki videos and such. Reiki relies on so-called "spirit guides" that have nothing to do with God, holy angels, or heaven. In other words, they are demonic spirits. The EWTN Catalog sells items that are "holy reminders" of heavenly things: God, the holy angels and saints, and the only faith community founded by Christ Himself.
@@stephanie4949 why would someone that doesn’t accept the supernatural as true accept the special pleading of your specific dogmatic position?
And while historians do largely agree that an apocalyptic preacher name Yeshua existed in Judea at that time, they do not accept any supernatural claims. And it could pretty easily be argued that Christianity wasn’t founded by Jesus, but was founded by Paul, who used some early stories of Jesus as the foundation of HIS new religion.

Which part? The one of Saint Michael statue? lol
She's super cute and wholesome.
When I was a very little girl, I visited my great grandmother who lived in a room in my grandparents house. Her room was chockablock full of Catholic regalia. Statues. Rosaries. Artwork. A holy water fount. Prayer cards. I was utterly fascinated with her. She was the oldest person I knew, she was in her nineties. I was fascinated with all her stuff. I loved her showing me these things. I loved hearing her stories. She had more rosaries than anyone I’ve ever known. Some made of wood, crystal, pearls, you name it. Each had its own storage box. But I don’t think that anything she had anything made by widows of Colombian drug wars.
Her being able to share her items with you and tell her stories SURELY was a highlight of her life. What beautiful memories.
See i dont get wht catholics have so many idols. Putting your faith into statues and holy water and rosaries etc for protectiom is super blasphemous. Our only needed protection is the Holy Spirit of God through Christ.
Catholic stuff is totally gorgeous though, i just dont get the obvious contradictions of catholics believing faith plus works, then openly commiting idolatry.
@@alanamoogk348 It's not idolatry, they don't worship the statues. The items don't have any power, they're just powerful reminders of God, the angels, etc.
