This (I think) original video is way better!! 😮 Damn finally seeing it *17* years later. Sucks too cause I've been chronically online since the Geocities/Ask Jeeves era of the internet 😂
Correct (though "HE-MAN!" is the only part that is sung the rest of the intro is spoken). Also some parts of the monologue are based off the actual intro monologue, like the iconic "Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my sword and said 'By the power of Grayskull, I HAVE THE POWERRRRRRRRR'!"
Actually the promised land wasn't missing or anything in Moses's time. He just led them back to it. It would be more accurate to say Abraham, who was actually the one to wander the wilderness with no idea the destination.
I remember showing my dad this, and here I am, on my late dad's birthday watching this at 3am. I lost him about 10 years ago, and he used to crack up with this as well as a few YTPs + The We Are Number One vids. Happy birthday, Walt.

actually, there's one from 06 on youtube. This was actually the second upload. However, it must be noted that this was the second upload of this song on youtube and that it was by the original creator.
I vastly prefer this over the cut version, the heartfelt singing in the beginning makes the “heyeayeayea” part hit so much harder and makes it so much funnier Plus this is the original so of course this deserves much more love
I've always wondered how 4 Non Blondes feels about the existence of this video, considering this version of their song is arguably more popular and more well-known than the original, especially with younger folks. I also wonder how many people even know that this is a 4 Non Blondes song, lol.
I have yet to hear/see Linda Perry’s reaction, but to be honest, the original song was a major hit in the 90’s and is still is a major classic. I don’t think you can compare both songs successes as they were released at very different times. Quite hard to measure in internet points a radio/MTV/Album-Single Sales. If anything, that parody gave it a new life and kind of a new limb hahaha.
Howdy friends! If you're reading this, you found the original video from which the "HEHEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA" / "He-Man Sings" meme was born. The full backstory is in the description, but I'm pinning it here as well, thanks to a great suggestion from subscriber Amy Omemine. ;) READ MORE! ------------------- So, here's a little backstory on this video. This is the original video from which the "HEHEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA" / "He-Man Sings" meme was born. (FULL HISTORY IS BELOW) We made this video in 2005 and posted it to the Something Awful forums: secretpowers.net/reddit/fsp_hi... In 2006, dkilzer2000 posted it to youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8Nc8R... We finally got around to posting it to our own page in 2007 (you are here). Then, in 2010, in the process of redesigning our company web site, we posted it to Vimeo: vimeo.com/8564338 We did not disable the "Download the source video" option on Vimeo, nor did we leave our watermark on the video as we had on the UA-cam version. From Vimeo, people grabbed the "high quality" version, edited out the intro and outro (which included all of our credits), and posted it again to UA-cam. As it turns out, removing the intro and outro was a very smart and viral-y decision by ProtoOfSnagem and others, because the video has gotten over 60M views in this abbreviated form. We tried for over a year to get ProtoOfSnagem to at least credit us for the video, but he never responded -- in fact, it seemed to be a dead UA-cam account -- so on 11/14/12 we flagged it and UA-cam pulled it down, along with over TWO YEARS of your comments. :( On 11/15/12, we retracted the claim on ProtoOfSnagem's version. Our only goal was to prompt Proto to credit us in his description, but instead it just felt like we broke this joyful little corner of the Internet and made a lot of people sad. That is the OPPOSITE of what this video is all about. 11/16/12 -- ProtoOfSnagem's version returned to UA-cam. We have no plans to pull it down again, as we feel this video belongs to you, the Internet Citizens, at this point. Since 2005, there have been all manner of tributes, remixes and even 5-10 hour loops of the video. We've collected our favorite tributes to Fabulous Secret Powers here: ua-cam.com/users/playlist?list=... All of this is to say, we are extremely happy so many people have enjoyed this video over the years. And if you're here watching the original, sitting through the smooth intro tones of my Yamaha DX7 (aka the Doogie Howser-o-matic, which you can pry out of my cold, dead hands) we appreciate you! Love, Slackcircus
Damn, reading the description to this, you guys are wonderful. It's pretty shitty that someone else got all the views and credit for this masterpiece, but the fact that you were able to put that aside so that people could still see it is very admirable. Mucho love.
This meme's plot summarized: A blond man who refers to himself as Prince Adam tells us about his depression in musical form. Skeletor and Beast Man show support for Adam, while his so-called "friends" Sorceress and Man at Arms tell him to repress his emotions. All this while a man spends the duration of the song making cake.
One one hand, I'm disappointed that he never *actually* said "MYAAH!" in the show. But on the other hand, this is too glorious. I remember first seeing this a few years ago
He-man introduced me to this video. I dont know how, but as a kid i watched a season of He-man and the Masters Of The Universe on DvD, i think i still have it. I swear 4 year old me could not get enough of this show.
My son is almost old enough to listen to this for the first time. I cant even right now. Tears well up in my eyes. He won't know why I'm crying, but he will learn.
For at least 6 years now, anytime me and all my friends have a party/get together, we end up playing this with every single person drunk off their ass singing their heart out. It's literally a tradition at this point and one of my favorites at that
This is one of those things that's just so laughably stupid yet so fucking awesome. I'm glad you guys have that tradition amongst yourselves and have kept it going for so long. 👏

This was probably the most least expected song to play in TMNT Mutant Mayhem
But it fit so well, it was such a great feeling of nostalgia
Right?!?! It took me a second to realize it was this version when it started playing. I don’t think I have laughed so hard in a theater 😂
When they busted it out, I began laughing and saying "Oh my god, it's the meme version!". I couldn't believe they'd actually do something like that in a cinematic blockbuster.
What we can all take away from this is Trent Reznor knows this exists and convinced people to include it.
I was laughing my ass off at how good of a chase song it actually was

actually, there's one from 06 on youtube. This was actually the second upload. However, it must be noted that this was the second upload of this song on youtube and that it was by the original creator.
17 years and i still love this
I vastly prefer this over the cut version, the heartfelt singing in the beginning makes the “heyeayeayea” part hit so much harder and makes it so much funnier
Plus this is the original so of course this deserves much more love

The 4 non blondes version sucks ass.

Very strange for UA-cam to recommend this video about 17 years later. It’s still great to find the origin of this song
-------------------
So, here's a little backstory on this video. This is the original video from which the "HEHEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA" / "He-Man Sings" meme was born. (FULL HISTORY IS BELOW)
We made this video in 2005 and posted it to the Something Awful forums:
secretpowers.net/reddit/fsp_hi...
In 2006, dkilzer2000 posted it to youtube:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8Nc8R...
We finally got around to posting it to our own page in 2007 (you are here).
Then, in 2010, in the process of redesigning our company web site, we posted it to Vimeo:
vimeo.com/8564338
We did not disable the "Download the source video" option on Vimeo, nor did we leave our watermark on the video as we had on the UA-cam version. :(
On 11/15/12, we retracted the claim on ProtoOfSnagem's version.
We've collected our favorite tributes to Fabulous Secret Powers here:
ua-cam.com/users/playlist?list=...
Love,
Slackcircus

This meme's plot summarized:
A blond man who refers to himself as Prince Adam tells us about his depression in musical form. Skeletor and Beast Man show support for Adam, while his so-called "friends" Sorceress and Man at Arms tell him to repress his emotions. All this while a man spends the duration of the song making cake.
I thought he was just a closeted gay man
Hey
burh his lover is telling him to stay in the closest
Blonde man = Armin Beast man: Zeke Skeletor=ymir
Sorceress= falco
One one hand, I'm disappointed that he never *actually* said "MYAAH!" in the show. But on the other hand, this is too glorious. I remember first seeing this a few years ago
Fuck you, don't get me into Masters of the Universe just to verify this. Because that's the first thing I think of when I see Skeletor.
