    Maury Muehleisen was a young and gifted musician who recorded his first and only album, “Gingerbreadd” for Capital Records in 1970. Shortly afterwards, Maury became fast friends with Jim Croce and the pair became musical partners. Jim and Maury, along with Producer Tommy West & Terry Cashman, recorded Jim’s first 3 Albums and during which time, Jim Croce shot to super stardom. Only 8 days after completing Jim Croce’s 3rd album both Jim and Maury were killed when their plane crashed upon take off in Natchitoches, Louisiana on 9/20/73. Maury was only 24 years old and Jim was only 30.
